  • ヤマオカギター製レスポールの配線直し・セットアップです。

    お客様持ち込みのベルデン製ヴィンテージ配線に交換。BSW 1180というモデルとの事です。

    配線材も様々な種類があり、ヴィンテージパーツとして非常に高価な物も多いですが結局は自分が意図した音になるのか？が重要です。
    メディアも販売側もビジネス色が強いので、「ヴィンテージ＝物凄く良い物」として売っているのでこの辺りはしっかり情報を収集する事が大事です。

    配線を交換した後のチェックではフロントはマイルド、リアは明るめのサウンドです。

    マヨネーズ製レギウス6のPU交換・セットアップです。

    ノイズが大きいとの事で持ち込まれました。

    各パーツがアース結線されておらず、銅朴テープを通してアースが取れる前提の配線仕様です。
    こうした状態は本当に良くないので直した方が良いです。パーツが緩むと音が出ない・トーンが効かない等のトラブルが簡単に出ます。

    パーツのアース結線とPU交換を行いました。ジャックは消耗してるので交換です。

    ビス類がブッシュが埋め込められて、そこの内径にビスが止まる様になっておりますがPUの箇所は取れています。
    ブッシュは木ネジタイプの物。
    PUを外すと埋め込まれたブッシュと一緒に出てきました。
    通常ならPUの高さ調整でビスを回すので、ブッシュも一緒に回らない様に接着する等していた方が良いと思います。

    PUはセイモアダンカン製のセンティエント・ナズグルに交換です。

    音がタイト、日本製のギターみたいな音です。
    深く歪ませても音の輪郭があり現代のモダン系として扱い易いサウンドと思います。

    This is a PU replacement and setup for a Mayonnaise Regius 6.

    It was brought in because of high noise.

    Each part is not wired to ground, and the wiring specification is based on the assumption that grounding can be obtained through copper rusted tape.
    These conditions are really not good and should be fixed. If the parts are loose, it is easy to have problems such as no sound or tone.

    We have wired the parts to ground and replaced the PU. The jack is worn out and should be replaced.

    The screws are embedded in the bushings, and the screws stop in the inner diameter of the bushings, but the PU part has been removed.
    The bushing is a wood screw type.
    When the PU is removed, the bushings and the embedded bushings come out.
    Normally, you would turn the screws when adjusting the height of the PU, so it would be better to glue the bushing so that it does not turn with the PU.

    The PU is replaced with a Seymour Duncan Sentient Nazgul.

    The sound is tight, like a Japanese made guitar.
    Even when deeply distorted, the sound has a good contour, and I think it is easy to handle as a modern type of sound.

  • メーカー不明のテレキャスター、ナット溝切り調整とセットアップです。

    ワーモス等のコンポーネント？なのか、何かしらメーカー品のロゴを削ってるのか判断は不明です。

    ナット溝高が高い上に下手に手を加えたのか状態が悪い・大きく順反り状態で弾き難い状態です。

    中古品は出所不明な事と前オーナーが何かしら下手に手を加えていたりするので詳細は分かりませんがコンポーネントのネック等は「ナットを仕上げる・フレットをすり合わせする等して仕上げてから使用する前提」で販売されています。
    恐らく前オーナーはこれらを知らない・自分でやってみたけど失敗して手放した様な印象に思います。

    また調整後にトラスロッドが限界状態となりました。
    現代の木材は柔らかい物が多いのでこうした事も珍しくないですが、これらが理由から新品でも中古品でもトラスロッドの余り量を確認して買う事は必須事項です。
    トラスロッドの余り量が多く表記されていても調整前でしたら意味がありません。
    特にトラスロッドの効きが悪いと余り量が多くても実質意味をなさないので、ちゃんと調整できた所からの余り量が表示されていないと意味がないです。

    こうしたトラスロッドに余裕が少ない・限界の物は使用しない時は弦を緩めて保管が必須です。
    これ以上順反りしたら直せません。
    こうならない様に使用するには購入時にトラスロッドに余裕が多い物を買う・順反りさせない様に弾かない時は弦を緩めてネックに負荷を与えない・十分に加湿した環境で保管する（乾燥も木材が縮み順反りになる原因）事が大事です。
    近年の楽器は木材が柔らかいので、弦を張ると大きく反るので最初の調整からトラスロッドに余裕が少ない事も多いです。

    リペアマンでも未だに弦は張りっぱなしで良いと言う人が居るので要注意です。
    現代はとにかく昔と比べ木材の強度が全然違うレベルに柔らかくなっている為、こうした「張りっぱなしで良い」という情報は古いです。
    昔はネック材に強度もあり大丈夫な物が多かったのかもしれませんが、現代は緩めていないと長持ちしません。
    むしろそれを狙っていて、長持ちさせず早いスパンで買い替えさせるあくどい手段を用いているので本気で張りっぱなしで良いと言ってる人が居たら要注意です。

    ナット溝を適切な高さに加工し弾き易くなりました。

    The nut groove height is high, and it may have been badly modified, or it is in poor condition and hard to play due to the large forward warp.

    The source of the used instrument is unknown, and the previous owner may have made some poor modifications to the instrument.
    I have the impression that the previous owner was unaware of these procedures, or that he tried to do them himself but failed and gave it away.

    Also, the truss rod was at its limit after adjustment.
    This is not unusual because most modern woods are soft, but for these reasons, it is essential to check the amount of truss rod left in both new and used guitars.
    Even if the amount of truss rod excess is indicated as large, it is meaningless if the truss rod has not been adjusted.
    Especially if the truss rod is not working well, even if there is a large amount of excess, it is meaningless, unless the amount of excess from where the truss rod was properly adjusted is indicated.

    The nut groove has been machined to the proper height and it is now easier to play.

    ギブソン製レスポールのPU交換です。

    お客様が中古で入手した57クラシックに交換です。

    最近はギブソンPUが入手し難くなってきた様で中古価格が高騰している様です。
    またこうしたモデルはPU本体に刻印がある訳じゃないので、本物かどうか分かりません。
    シールが貼ってはいますが似た物を作る事も可能でしょう。中古品は少し疑った方が良いです。
    この辺りは不明ですが2つとも同じ抵抗値でした。

    音が柔らかく扱い易く、フロントは程好い太さにリアは柔らかいサウンドです。
    ギブソン的なブーミー感を感じる音が好きな人はフロントにお勧めで、特にリアは柔らかい傾向になるのでお勧めです。

    This is a PU replacement for a Gibson Les Paul.

    This is a replacement for a 57 Classic that the customer got used.

    It seems that Gibson PUs are getting harder to find these days, and the price of used PUs is soaring.
    The price of used PU is getting higher and higher.
    It may be possible to make a similar model, although it has a sticker on it. You should be a little skeptical about used ones.
    I am not sure about this area, but both of them had the same resistance value.

    The sound is soft and easy to handle, with a moderately fat front and soft rear.
    If you like Gibson-like boomy sound, I recommend the front, especially the rear as it tends to be softer.

  • ヤマハ製SG-1000のフレットすり合わせです。

    音詰まり、フレット交換歴があるとの事だがフレットの高さ精度が悪い状態です。

    ヤマハの古いSGモデルは中古価格が非常に高額になってきており気軽に入手できないモデルになりつつあります。

    ナット高が低く消耗してくると音詰まりしそうな状態です。

    フレットをすり合わせ、問題が無い状態に仕上げました。
    ナットはまだ使用できそうですが、消耗すると開放弦の音が詰まってくるかもしれません。その際は交換です。

    This is a Yamaha SG-1000 fret grinder.

    It has a history of sound jamming and fret replacement, but the fret height accuracy is in poor condition.

    ESP製ホライズンのブリッジ交換です。

    中古品なのでブリッジが交換されフロイドローズライセンス品が付いた状態、こちらを純正フロイドローズに交換です。

    びっくりですが現在はフロイドローズの入手も困難で、売っててもかなり高額になっており倍以上の価格になっています。

    フロイドローズが付いたギターは本来製作時に指板Rはフロイドローズに合わせて加工します。
    ですが完璧に合わせるのも難しいので、微妙な弦高の差は合わす為に調整ではシムを使います。
    メーカーでもこの辺りを分かっていなくて製造されている事も今現在でもありますので要注意です。
    具体的にフロイドローズブリッジはフラット系のブリッジなので、指板RがキツいRだと1弦6弦側が弦高が高くなってしまいます。

    お客様がシムも持ち込んでくれたので調整でしっかりと弦高を整えて仕上げました。

    This is a bridge replacement for an ESP Horizon.

    The bridge has been replaced with a Floyd Rose licensed product, and this is a genuine Floyd Rose.

    It is very difficult to find Floyd Rose bridges, and even if they are available, they are very expensive and more than double the price.

    When a guitar with a Floyd Rose is manufactured, the fingerboard radius is originally machined to match the Floyd Rose.
    However, it is difficult to perfectly match the fretboard radius, so shims are used to adjust for subtle differences in string height.
    Even nowadays, some manufacturers do not understand this point, so please be careful.
    Specifically, the Floyd Rose bridge is a flat bridge, so if the fingerboard radius is too tight, the height of the first 6 strings will be higher.

    The customer also brought in shims, so we adjusted the string height and finished it up.

  • フェルナンデス製Zo-3左利き用のナット取り付け・セットアップです。

    中古購入との事ですがナットが取れている状態です。

    こうしたヘッド形状だとナットに無理な横力が掛かっているので接着が甘いと外れると思います。
    ただナットは消耗品なので基本的に「外し易い程度に接着する」のが本来は正しいです。
    消耗品なのにナットが簡単に外せない位に接着されている方がダメです。

    恐らくナットが素人交換されており、それが理由でちゃんと付いていないので取れる事とサイズが全く合っていません。
    よくあるナットは全て同じサイズと勘違いして自分で交換し失敗して手放した物と思います。

    遊び用ギターとの事であまりお金を掛けたくないお客様の要望からナット底面に紙を挟んで高さ調整を行い仕上げました。
    本来は良くないですがお金を掛けたくない理由で要望でもある事でしたらしょうがない対処法です。

    大きく順反りしており、調整にてトラスロッドが限界近い状態になりました。
    ヤフオクやメルカリ中古品は状態を確認できないのでリスクも大きいので、いくら説明で良い様に書いてあっても後からいくらでも「主観」で通る話ですので要注意です。

    This is a Fernandez Zo-3 left handed nut installation and setup.

    The nut has been removed from the head.

    The nut is not glued well because of the force exerted on it by the shape of the head, so if it is not glued well, it will come off.
    However, since the nut is a consumable item, it is basically correct to “glue the nut to the extent that it is easy to remove”.
    It is wrong if the nut is glued to the extent that it cannot be easily removed even though it is a consumable item.

    The nut has probably been replaced by an amateur, and that is why it is not attached properly, so it can be removed and the size is not correct at all.
    I think the guitar was given away because he mistakenly thought that all nuts are the same size, which is common, and replaced it by himself.

    The customer did not want to spend a lot of money on this guitar for fun, so we put a piece of paper between the bottom of the nut and adjusted the height.
    This is not a good idea, but if this is what the customer wanted because he did not want to spend a lot of money, it is the only way to deal with it.

    The truss rod is now at the limit.
    The risk is great because you can’t check the condition of the used goods on Yahoo Auctions and Mercari, so even if the description says it is in good shape, it is a “subjective” story that can be passed off as anything after the fact, so be careful.

    Do you store them without loosening them?

    In conclusion, first of all, how much extra truss rod do you have on your guitar at the moment? Please check.

    To be precise, the first step is to determine the state of being well adjusted.

    The range within which the truss rod can be adjusted should be determined as the range within which the neck warp can be corrected.

    If the range is too narrow, it may not be possible to correct the warp in the future, and the life of the guitar will be shortened.

    Assuming that the adjustment was done properly, to what extent can the truss rod be tightened from this state? Please check by turning the truss rod.

    Turning the truss rod will not break it. If it does break, it is due to a manufacturing error on the part of the manufacturer, not because it broke.

    At this point, if the extra amount is too small, the condition will quickly reach its limit.

    However, there are many such instruments. If the truss rod excess is small, the strings must be loosened.

    On the other hand, if the excess is too large, especially if it is close to 100%, it is acceptable to leave the strings on only in this case, since reverse warping is a problem.

    This is the correct way to judge. Should I loosen or not loosen the strings? This is the correct way to decide whether to loosen or not loosen the strings.

    If you loosen the strings and they are inverted, this is a good thing.

    If it warps back, the truss rod will have to be loosened, and as a result, the truss rod will be closer to its normal state.

    An instrument with only a small amount of truss rod remaining will be difficult to keep in service for a long time unless you keep the strings loose and aim for reverse warping.

    This is the way to ensure the longevity of your treasured instrument.

  • Fender Japan ST-65 ストラトキャスター ジャック交換＆セットアップ

  • フェンダージャパン製ストラトキャスターのジャック交換・セットアップです。

    PUは名前付きの物が付いているモデルの様です。

    ジャックが摩耗しているので交換、PUの高さ調整ゴムが劣化してるので新品に交換しました。
    ストラト等はゴムの劣化でPUの高さ調整ができない物があるので、古い物は交換していた方が良いです。

    順反りを直し弾き易く調整しました。

    こちらは音が良い個体です。
    当時のフェンダージャパンはコストパフォーマンスに優れ、数万円のモデルでも今の20万円台とそこまで差は無いと思います。
    中古価格も高騰し、大体は状態が悪いので購入は難しいかもしれませんが状態が良い物を買えるならとても良い買い物になります。

    This is a Fender Japan Stratocaster jack replacement/setup.

    The PU seems to be a model with a named one.

    The jack is worn out, so we replaced it, and the PU height adjusting rubber is deteriorated, so we replaced it with a new one.

    We fixed the forward warp and adjusted it to be easy to play.
