ペグをGOTOH製に交換しました。

交換後は弾いてみるとフロントPUの音抜け感が変わった（音が硬くなった印象）様子です。

GOTOHは金属が硬いのか、音質的にも高域に寄る印象があるので持ち主が言うなら間違いはないと思います。

ロック式ペグ等もロック機構がある事で弦振動をネックに伝える力が落ちるのか、同じく高域に寄る（こちらは低域が減る）形になる事が多いです。

This is a string peg replacement for a Squier Cyclone.

I replaced the pegs with GOTOH ones.

After the replacement, when I played it, the sound projection from the front pickup seemed to have changed (it sounded harder).

Perhaps because GOTOH uses harder metal, the tone seems to lean more toward the high frequencies, so if the owner says so, I’m sure they’re right.

With locking tuners and similar types, the locking mechanism may reduce the force with which string vibrations are transmitted to the neck, often resulting in a similar shift toward the high frequencies (though in this case, the low frequencies are reduced).

太い弦を張ってドロップA#仕様にする依頼です。
またゴールドパーツに交換です。

666ｍｍスケールのモデルで、56弦を張って溝切りしましたがA♯だと後ほんの気持ち太いのでも良いかもしれません。

フロントはかなりクリアで響きが良く、歪むと粘りが出てギブソンっぽい太いニュアンスが出ます。
リアはパワーがあり歪み時は良さげのモダン系サウンドです。

スケールが長いと張力が強くなり、1～2段ゲージ上げた様な感覚になりますのでダウンチューニング時は非常に良い恩恵が得られます。

This is a setup for a Dragonfly Border 666, including peg replacement, bridge replacement, nut slot adjustment, and general setup.

The request was to string it with heavier strings and set it up for Drop A# tuning.
We also replaced the hardware with gold parts.

This is a 666mm scale model. We strung it with 56-gauge strings and adjusted the nut slots, but for A# tuning, it might be better to go with strings that are just a tiny bit heavier.

The front pickup is quite clear with great resonance, and when distorted, it develops a sticky quality that produces a thick, Gibson-like tone.
The rear pickup is powerful and delivers a nice modern sound when distorted.

A longer scale length increases string tension, creating a sensation similar to using strings one or two gauges thicker, which provides significant benefits when down-tuning.

ギブソン製レスポールのペグ交換・ブリッジ交換・セットアップです。

ペグはGOTOHの同型ロック式へ、アルミテールピースに交換しました。

金属パーツは交換するだけでも音に変化を与えます。
GOTOH製品は金属が硬く丈夫な事から音も硬くなる傾向です。

またロック式ペグは金属シャフトが1本の棒から内部にロック機構を搭載するので弦振動を伝え具合が変わるのか、ノーマルペグからロック式ペグに交換すると低音が落ちる様に思います。

テールピースがアルミで軽くなった事から音が硬く抜けが良くなった様に思います。
音抜けが良くなったというよりも、こちらも金属比重が軽くなるので低音が落ちて音が抜け易くなっていると思います。

音は所詮は好みなので、こうしたパーツを交換してみて自分の好みのサウンドに寄せられるか試した方が良いです。

This is a Gibson Les Paul with new tuners, a new bridge, and a full setup.

I replaced the tuners with matching GOTOH locking tuners and installed an aluminum tailpiece.

Simply replacing metal parts can change the tone.
GOTOH products tend to produce a harder, more aggressive sound because the metal is hard and durable.

Also, with locking tuners, the metal shaft is a single rod that incorporates a locking mechanism internally, which may alter how string vibrations are transmitted. As a result, I feel that switching from standard tuners to locking tuners tends to reduce the low end.

Since the tailpiece is now made of aluminum and is lighter, the sound seems to have become brighter and more projective.
Rather than simply having better projection, I believe this is because the lower density of the metal reduces the low end, making the sound project more easily.

Ultimately, sound is a matter of personal preference, so it’s best to try swapping out these parts to see if you can get a sound that suits your taste.

バッカス製の低価格帯モデル、テレキャスターのペグ交換・ナット交換・フレットサイド処理・配線直しです。

お客様持ち込みのMusicLilyのPUと電装パーツにグレードアップです。

ペグをGOTOH製の同型に交換しました。

ナット材も持ち込みでMusicLily牛骨ナットに交換です。
こちらはネット上で無加工で付く様な情報があるそうですが、加工が必要になりますのでご注意下さい。

約23000円のモデルですが基本的なポテンシャルはあり、こうしたグレードアップを行う事で20～30万円台のギターになると思います。

フロントのサウンドはGibson系に近くなり、ブーミー傾向をややスッキリさせた程好い太さです。
またこのPUはギブソン製のP-90と違いポールピース高が大きく下げる調整できるのが利点です。
ギブソン製P-90はポールピース高を下げれる限度が少ないので、各弦の音量調整で不都合が起き易いです。
音も良い上にポールピース高の自由度が高いので、安物PUながらMusicLilyのPUはお勧めです。

リアはギラギラしない、通常のテレよりハイ落ち感はあるがその代わり音が太い傾向なのでリアがうるさく感じる際の交換にお勧め機種です。
低価格PUでも非常に使えるサウンドなので、やはり時代は安物でも使える時代になりました。

This is a Bacchus budget-friendly model—a Telecaster—that underwent tuner and nut replacements, fretboard finishing, and rewiring.

We upgraded it with a MusicLily pickup and electronic components provided by the customer.

We replaced the tuners with matching GOTOH models.

We also replaced the nut with a MusicLily cowbone nut provided by the customer.
Please note that while some online sources claim this nut fits without modification, it actually requires some adjustment.

Although this is a model priced at around 23,000 yen, it has solid basic potential. With these upgrades, I believe it now rivals guitars in the 200,000 to 300,000 yen range.

The front pickup’s sound is now closer to a Gibson-style tone, with a nice, full body that’s been slightly cleaned up from its original boomy tendency.
Another advantage of this pickup, unlike the Gibson P-90, is that the pole piece height can be significantly lowered.
With the Gibson P-90, the pole piece height can only be lowered to a limited extent, which often causes issues when adjusting the volume balance between strings.
With great sound and high flexibility in pole piece height adjustment, I highly recommend MusicLily’s pickups, even though they’re budget-friendly.

The bridge pickup isn’t overly bright; while it has a slightly reduced high-end response compared to a standard Tele, it tends to have a fuller tone. This makes it a great replacement option if you find the stock bridge pickup too harsh.
Even budget pickups can deliver a very usable sound these days—it really shows that we’ve entered an era where even affordable gear can be top-notch.

メーカー不明ギターのフレット交換・ペグ交換・配線直しです。

状態が悪く音詰まり箇所があり、音も安定して出ません。

昔ジャンク品で購入したギターとの事ですがレリック塗装だけはかなり良い具合に仕上げてあります。
ここだけは業者にやってもらったのかもしれません。

ペグは素人作業がされて無理矢理付いており、穴を埋めて空け直された跡があるのですが穴空けもいい加減の様子でペグが正しく付いておりません。

ペグ穴も無理矢理広げられた箇所があったりと素人作業が目立ちます。

お客様と相談し作業費がなるべく掛からない様に新しいペグに交換する形となりました。
クルーソン仕様ですがこの様な状態なのでブッシュ穴がガバガバで付けれないので、穴をシャーラータイプの10ｍｍに広げGOTOH製のナット止めタイプに交換する内容にしました。

状態も素人作業のフレット交換がされています。フレット付近は割れたままフレットが打たれていたり、仕上げも雑な事から音詰まりが起きています。

フレットも簡単に抜けたりと、相当雑な作業がされています。
中古で購入する際、下手にフレット交換がされている物のチェックしてこうした状態は分かり易いです。
安く買えてもフレット交換で直す羽目になります。
指板の整形も非常に崩れており、あまりにも酷く指板が削られていると修正が困難になる場合があるので購入時は要注意ポイントです。

指板延長も行われている様子ですが雑です。延長した指板が剥がれたりしないか心配はあります。

やはり簡単に外れました。
内部に棒を入れて接着する様に加工してあり、簡単に外れました。
こちらは再接着で対処しました。

電装パーツはお客様持ち込みのGOTOH OLD-1に交換です。

ピックガードも前オーナーが自分でP-90ザグリを空けた？のかサイズがギリギリで、かなり強めにピックガードに引っ掛かるので高さ調整ができません。
付けれはしますが細かい高さ調整に対応ができないのでピックガードを交換するかザグリを空け直す必要が出てきます。

フロントはピッキングの反応が良く良好、リアは硬くなく標準的なサウンドで扱い易いです。

GOTOH製PUは低価格ながら音質が良いのでお勧めです。

フレット交換し問題無く使用できる状態になりました。

チェックしてみると冬場の乾燥の影響かネックグリップ・セットネック部にひび割れが起きています。
現状で使用には問題無さそうです。

ペグをブッシュと共に同タイプへ交換しました。

音が澄んでて綺麗な響きになりました。
GOTOH製は金属が硬いのか、音が煌びやかな方向になる事が多いです。

Peg replacement and setup for a Bacchus SG.

Upon inspection, cracks appeared in the neck grip and set neck area, likely due to winter dryness.
It seems usable as-is for now.

Replaced the pegs with the same type, including the bushings.

The sound is now clear and has a beautiful resonance.
GOTOH pegs often produce a more brilliant tone, perhaps due to their harder metal.

フェンダーメキシコ製テレキャスターのペグ交換・ブリッジ交換・セットアップです。

ペグをゴトー製ロック式ペグに交換ですが元のペグ形状が珍しいナット止めのクルーソンタイプ（ビスを使用せず、裏側に突起タイプ）です。
これにより加工無しで取り付けが行えない状態です。

ナット止めされているペグは大きい穴、ブッシュが打ち込まれたペグは小さい穴と覚えておくと交換がやり易いです。

またこうした双方で異なる仕様のペグ交換を可能にするコンバージョンブッシュという商品があります。
ただしこうしたコンバージョンブッシュ使用の場合はペグ本体の隙間が生じる事が多い（綺麗に並んで付かない）です。
見た目は良くありませんが特に問題無く交換は可能です。

※ナット止め（シャーラータイプ）からクルーソンタイプ（ブッシュ仕様）に交換する際にコンバージョンブッシュは使用されます。
これを使用しない場合、元の穴を埋めて空け直しが必要になります。

ブリッジもGOTOHの物へ交換しました。6連サドルから3連サドルになりました。
3連サドルになるとオクターブ調整位置がズレてしまうので6連サドル程の正確性は出ませんがGOTOH製のサドルは弦が当たる位置が工夫されFender等の3連サドルよりはオクターブ調整位置が良くなります。

音の端切れが良く王道のテレキャスターサウンドになりました。

チェンバー加工されているモデルとの事で、音のモタリが少なくハッキリと音が鳴っていて良さげです。
むしろ軽くて扱い易いくもなりチェンバー加工が活きていると思います。

Fender Mexico Telecaster peg replacement, bridge replacement, and setup.

Replacing the pegs with Gotoh locking pegs, but the original pegs are a rare nut-mounted Kluson type (no screws, with protrusions on the back).
This means they cannot be installed without modification.

Remembering that nut-mounted tuners have larger holes and bushed tuners have smaller holes makes the replacement easier.

There is also a product called a conversion bushing that enables replacing tuners with these differing specifications.
However, using such conversion bushings often results in gaps around the tuner body (they don’t line up neatly).
While the appearance isn’t ideal, the replacement is possible without any particular issues.

* Conversion bushings are used when replacing a nut-secured (Schaller type) peg with a Kluson type (bushing specification) peg.
Without using these, the original hole must be filled and re-drilled.

I also swapped out the bridge for a GOTOH unit. It went from a 6-saddle to a 3-saddle bridge.
With a 3-saddle bridge, the octave adjustment position shifts, so it doesn’t achieve the same precision as a 6-saddle bridge. However, GOTOH’s saddles are designed with the string contact point optimized, resulting in a better octave adjustment position compared to 3-saddle bridges like those on Fender models.

The sound has become crisp and clean, delivering that classic Telecaster tone.

Being a chambered model, it has less muffled sound and produces a clear, crisp tone that sounds great.
In fact, it feels lighter and easier to handle, which I think really highlights the benefits of the chambering.

フレットが全体的に大きく消耗、ナット溝が高い弦がある状態で演奏面で不具合が起きています。

配線が素人作業されている状態で、ボリューム・セレクターにガリがあるので交換、ついでにジャックも交換し信号ラインは問題が起きない様に仕上げました。

ペグは注意点として、交換するペグによっては綺麗に付かない場合があります。

交換するペグにてブッシュ径が合わないのでコンバーションブッシュで対応しました。
ペグはナット止めタイプだと10ｍｍ穴が空いている事が多く、ビスのみで止まっているクルーソンタイプは穴が小さいので交換時は要注意です。互換性はありません。
こうした交換を簡単にする為にコンバージョンブッシュというパーツが存在するので、加工せず交換したい場合はこのブッシュが別途必要になります。

しかしペグ穴ピッチが合わなくなりペグの間に隙間がある状態（使用に問題無し）になる事もあるので、見た目は悪くなりますがビスが掛かる程度であれば付く分に問題はありません。
6連クルーソンタイプ等に交換する際は綺麗に付かない事もあるのでコンバージョンブッシュを使って交換できるとしても見た目上で難点が出る可能性はありますのでこの辺りも要注意です。
気になる人は同タイプのペグに交換する（クルーソンタイプ←→シャーラータイプと仕様を変える交換を行わない）事をお勧めします。

お客様の要望で1音下げにセッティングしました。
ネックコンディションも良くロッドの余り量も多い状態です。

こうした事で分かる事として、ダウンチューニング等で弦張力がネックに負荷を与えている期間が少ない程に当然ながら順反りし難くなります。
弦は緩めて保管しないといけない理由が分かると思いますが、ネックは弦張力で順反りしていく物なので使用していない時は負荷を無くす為に緩めて保管していると長持ちします。

Fender USA Stratocaster: Peg replacement, nut slot adjustment, fret leveling, and rewiring.

The frets show significant overall wear, and some strings have high nut slots, causing playability issues.

The wiring was amateurishly done, with crackling noise in the volume and selector switches, so they were replaced. The jack was also replaced to ensure the signal path is problem-free.

Note regarding the tuning pegs: Depending on the replacement pegs used, they may not fit perfectly.
The bushings didn’t match the diameter of the replacement pegs, so conversion bushings were used.
Nut-retaining type pegs often have a 10mm hole, while Kluson type pegs have a smaller hole, so caution is needed during replacement.
Conversion bushings exist to simplify such replacements. If you want to replace them without modification, these bushings are required separately.

However, this may cause the peg hole pitch to mismatch, resulting in gaps between the pegs (though this does not affect functionality). While this looks unsightly, it’s acceptable as long as the screws hold securely.
When replacing with a 6-string Kluson type, for example, a perfect fit might still be difficult. Even if conversion bushings allow the replacement, cosmetic imperfections are possible, so be aware of this.
For those concerned, we recommend replacing with the same type (e.g., Kluson type ←→ Kluson type; avoid changing specifications like Kluson to Schaller).

We set it down one step per customer request.
The neck condition is good, and there is ample rod adjustment remaining.

This illustrates an important point: the less time strings exert tension on the neck (e.g., during down-tuning), the less prone it becomes to warping.
This explains why strings should be stored loosened. Since neck warping occurs under string tension, storing the instrument with strings loosened removes this load, prolonging its lifespan.

ぶつけてペグが壊れている＋長年の消耗により、ペグを止めているビス山もナメってるので埋めて空け直しするついでに新しいペグに交換しました。

ペグも消耗品ですので、ガタが出てきたタイミングで交換がベストです。

フレット消耗が凄くすり合わせを行い、良い状態に修正しました。

音抜けが良く分離が良く非常に良い個体でした。

Gibson Les Paul fret leveling and tuning peg replacement.

The pegs were damaged from impact + years of wear had stripped the screw threads holding them in place, so I filled and re-drilled the holes and replaced them with new pegs while I was at it.

Pegs are consumables, so replacing them when they start feeling loose is best.

The frets showed significant wear, so I performed a full fret leveling to restore it to excellent condition.

It was a superb instrument with great projection and clear separation.

ペグをぶつけ壊れてしまったとの事でGOTOH製ロック式ペグに交換しました。

お客様の要望でセレクターの位置変更をしました。
本来ボリュームがある位置へセレクターを移動し、ボリュームをセレクターの位置へと変更です。追加でトーンを効かない状態にトーンカットも行いました。

高額なモデルなのですが付いてるパーツが安物だったりと気になる箇所はいくつかありますが問題無く使用できる状態に復元しました。

またスラント仕様PUの位置がおかしく、フロントPUは弦の真下にポールピースが綺麗に並んでない事から1弦の音が小さかったり（ポールピース高で対処）といい加減な点も見られます。
値段を考えたら電装パーツは有名所の部品が付いていたり、スラント仕様も綺麗な弦位置に来る様な精度をしていてほしいです。

This is a peg replacement, rewiring, and setup for an Ohmzby Elite 2.

The pegs were damaged, so we replaced them with GOTOH lock-type pegs.

At the customer’s request, we also adjusted the position of the selector switch.
We moved the selector switch to the original volume control position and relocated the volume control to the selector switch position. Additionally, we performed a tone cut to eliminate tone functionality.

Although this is a high-end model, there were a few concerning issues such as low-quality parts, but we have restored it to a fully functional state.

Additionally, the slant-style pickup position was off, and the front pickup’s pole pieces were not aligned properly under the strings, causing the first string to sound weaker (addressed by adjusting the pole piece height). There were also some careless details.
Considering the price, I would have liked to see more reputable brand components for the electronics and better precision in the slant-style pickup positioning to ensure proper string alignment.
