クールZ製ジャズベースのPU交換です。

お客様持ち込みのGOTOH製JB-Classic ＋αに交換、2個で新品約7000円程度の低価格PUです。

Youtubeで紹介した事もあるPUですが、低価格ながら非常に良いサウンドのPUです。

程好い太さと各弦の音量・音色バランスが非常に良いPUです。

映像でも分かると思いますが癖無くオールド感があり、クールZの様な低価格帯ジャズベースでもかなり様になるサウンドです。

以前にノーマル状態を調整しているので分かりますが各弦の音量バランスが悪く音が硬くレンジが狭い為、いわゆる「安物の音」って印象でした。

交換後に大きく良い方向に音が変わったので、低価格帯ながら非常に良いPUとしてお勧めです。

This is a pickup replacement on a Cool Z Jazz Bass.

I replaced the pickups with GOTOH JB-Classic +α pickups provided by the customer—these are budget-friendly pickups that cost about 7,000 yen for a pair of new ones.

I’ve featured these pickups on YouTube before; despite their low price, they produce a very good sound.

They offer just the right amount of body and have excellent balance in volume and tone across all strings.

As you can see in the video, they have a vintage feel without any harshness, and they sound great even on a budget Jazz Bass like the Cool Z.

I had previously adjusted the stock setup, so I know firsthand that the volume balance between the strings was poor, the tone was stiff, and the dynamic range was narrow—giving it that typical “cheap-sounding” impression.

The sound improved significantly for the better after the replacement, so I highly recommend these as excellent pickups, even in the budget range.
