中古購入、購入したばかりだがすぐに電源が入らなくなったとの事です。

この機種はとにかく電源トラブルが多い機種なので安心して使い続けるには不安があります。

内部をチェックしてみると内部のハンダ箇所が焼けている？様な痕があり、過去に何度か触っているので少し違和感ある気がします。
イジられている可能性があるかもしれません。

通電はしている様子だが電源部のＦＥＴ等のパーツが交換されている？様子です。

アダプタはテスターで測ってみると15Ｖは出るのだが、本体に繋げると不安定な電圧になる事を発見しました。
アダプタを変えてみたら電源が入り、動作が問題無さそうでアダプタ不良の様子です。

このモデルに付いているアダプタも壊れ易く、恐らくアンペアの値がギリギリのアダプタが付いていると予想します。
アダプタは恐らく品質が悪いです。

このモツをチェックする為だけのアダプタを持っているので、アダプタ交換で動作しなかったらもうお手上げですが解決して良かったです。

この機種の特徴として大体はアダプタが動作に耐え切れず壊れるか、その影響もあってか電源部にトラブルが起こる様子です。

まずは純正アダプタではなく、アダプタを同じ電圧で高いアンペア数のアダプタに交換する事をお勧めします。

This is a power supply issue with the Motsu Ultra Light Mk3.

It was purchased secondhand, and although it was just bought, the customer reports that it stopped powering on immediately.

This model is notorious for frequent power supply issues, so I’m concerned about whether it can be used reliably in the long term.

Upon inspecting the interior, I noticed marks that looked like the solder joints had been scorched. Since I’ve handled this unit several times before, this seems a bit off to me.
It’s possible that someone has tampered with it.

It appears to be receiving power, but it looks like parts in the power supply section, such as the FETs, have been replaced.

When I tested the adapter with a multimeter, it output 15V, but I discovered that the voltage became unstable when connected to the unit.
When I tried a different adapter, the unit powered on and seemed to function normally, so it appears the original adapter was faulty.

The adapters that come with this model are also prone to breaking, and I suspect the one included is rated for the absolute minimum amperage.
The adapter is likely of poor quality.

I happen to have an adapter specifically for testing this unit, so if replacing the adapter hadn’t worked, I would have been at a loss, but I’m glad I was able to resolve the issue.

A common issue with this model is that the adapter often fails to handle the load and breaks, or—perhaps as a result—problems arise with the power supply unit.

First, I recommend replacing the adapter with one that has the same voltage but a higher amperage, rather than using the original adapter.

電源が入らない状態です。
この個体は電源トラブルが非常に多いので、中古等は消耗により特に壊れ易い状態になっていると思います。

内部をチェックしてみると電源部の基盤が繋がっていない（過去にも同じ事あり）状態でした。

急に基盤が死ぬ？のも不思議なのですが実際に通電しなくなっているので事実です。
配線を引き回し、通電不良個所を配線で繋げて無事に動作する様になりました。

こちらもエフェクターと同じ扱いで作業の保証はございませんが内部を確認して直そうと対応する事は可能です。

Repairing the wiring on a Motsu Ultra Light Mk3 Hybrid.

It won’t power on.
This particular unit has had numerous power issues, so I suspect used ones are especially prone to failure due to wear and tear.

Checking inside revealed the power section’s circuit board wasn’t connected (this has happened before).

It’s odd for a board to suddenly die, but it’s a fact that it stopped powering up.
I rerouted the wiring, bridged the faulty connection points, and got it working properly again.

Like with effects pedals, there’s no warranty on this work, but I can inspect the internals and attempt repairs.

もはや定番、この機種は電源周りが壊れる様です。

チェックしてみた所、アダプタが壊れている様子でした。
アダプタを別の物に換えてみたら電源は入り動作は問題無い様子です。

こうした本体に付いているアダプタも正直酷い物が多く、使用アンペアのギリギリの数値のアダプタが付いている事も多いです。
全く余裕が無いアダプタを使用していれば電源へ安定した電気を送るのも不安定になるでしょうし大きな負荷にもなると思います。

この様なアダプタが壊れるパターンはダメージが少ないので、アダプタを交換すれば直るのですが本体にダメージが行った場合はお手上げか大掛かりな部品交換となります。
どちらにしてもこのモデルは電源が壊れ易いので使用としてはお勧めできません。

This is a power supply repair for an ultralight made by Motsu.

This model seems to break around the power supply, which is no longer the standard.

We checked and found that the adapter was broken.
After replacing the adapter with another one, the power supply came back on and the unit seemed to work fine.

To be honest, many of the adapters that come with these units are terrible, and often come with adapters that are just under the amperage limit.
If the adapter has no margin at all, it will be unstable to send stable electricity to the power source, and it will also put a heavy load on the power supply.

If the adapter is damaged in this way, the damage is minimal and can be fixed by replacing the adapter, but if damage is done to the main unit, it will either be a major problem or a major part replacement.
In any case, we do not recommend using this model because of the fragility of the power supply.

MOTU製ultralite-mk3 hybridｎ配線直しです。

たまにこうしたトラブルの修理が来られますが、こうも似た症状が多いとなるとこの機種は電源部の作りが良くない様です。

いつもの様な症状とは違い、今回は基盤部のトラブルです。

基盤の破損は基本的に破損個所が分からなくなるのでお手上げとなるのですが、今回は電源が入らないのでいろいろとテスターチェックしているとアダプタはちゃんと電源が来ている（アダプタ不良で電源が入らない事も全然有り得る）・ＤＣジャックは生きているので通電不良ではない、という発見でした。

いろいろとチェックしていると基盤内で通電するはずの箇所に通電していない箇所を見つけ、そこを配線で繋げてみると電源が入り直す事ができました。

基盤も使用時間が長いと見えない所で通電不良が起きるのか、元から作りが悪い事から起きたトラブルなのかは判断できませんが今回は特殊な壊れ方だったので大変でしたが無事に直す事ができました。

MOTUの中身は合理的な設計で基盤の取り外しが楽にできる様に作られておりリペアがやり易い構造になっています。生産効率やコストダウン化が進み修理作業の事までは視野に入っていない構造のメーカー品も多い事からリペアマン的には助かる構造です。エフェクター等も基盤一体型が多くなり修理が大変になる機種が増えてきましたが修理し易い様に製作する事も大事に思います。交換後は無事に電源の起動も問題無くできる様になり、動かしても電源が落ちる等が起こらなくなりました。ワンマン前だった事もあり修理が間に合って良かったです。
