トーンランド製テレキャスターのPU交換・セットアップです。

お客様の方で配線がイジられている個体になります。

リアPUをヴァンザント製TRUE VINTAGEに交換しました。

PUを片方だけ交換する際はキャラクターのバランスが重要で、分かってて交換する場合は何も問題ありませんが例えばフロントとリアとで音色が大きく異なると扱い難くなります。

フロントは太くクリーンの音は良いが歪ませると太くて抜けがあまり良くないPUです。

リアは枯れ具合が良く歪みは歯切れが良い、フロントと音色が真逆な個性なので癖があります。

古い年代のテレキャスターはフロントがモッサリとして音量も小さくリアと音色が大きく違うのも確かにあるのですが、近年はリアに合わせて音量が大きくなり音もクリアに寄ったPUが増えています。

この辺りの組み合わせは好みですが、知っててやるのと知らないのでは大きな違いが出ます。

This is a Tornland Telecaster PU replacement and setup.

Wiring has been modified by the customer.

The rear PU has been replaced with a Van Zandt TRUE VINTAGE.

When replacing only one of the PUs, it is important to balance the character of the PUs.

The front PU is fat and has a good clean sound, but when distorted, it is fat and not so good.

The rear has a nice, dry sound and distortion is very crisp, but it has a habit of being the exact opposite of the front.

Older Telecasters have a muffled front and low volume, and there is certainly a big difference in tone from the rear, but in recent years there has been an increase in PUs that are louder and clearer to match the rear.

The combination of these two is a matter of taste, but there is a big difference between knowing it and not knowing it.
