最近は良さに気が付いた人が購入しているPUですね。

パワーが無いヴィンテージタイプだが音抜けが良くコード鳴りが綺麗で、リアは少し出力が高く全体バランスが良いPUです。

これはストラトキャスターとして理想的なサウンドに思います。
フロントからリアまでここまで良いバランスしたサウンドを出せるのは意外と無いので、ArqueNoteは一般的に流通した方が良いPUですね。

This is a pickup and pot replacement and setup for a Tokai Stratocaster.

We replaced the pickups with three pots provided by the customer and Luzier pickups.

These are pickups that people have been buying lately after realizing how good they are.

Although they’re vintage-style pickups with lower output, they have excellent projection and a clean chord tone; the bridge pickup has slightly higher output, resulting in a well-balanced overall sound.

I think this is the ideal sound for a Stratocaster.
It’s surprisingly rare to find a pickup that delivers such a well-balanced sound from the neck to the bridge, so ArqueNote pickups really deserve to be more widely available.

ヒストリー製アドバンスのPU交換・ポット交換・セットアップです。

PUはお客様持ち込みのディマジオ製DP192・DP193に交換とポットはCTSに交換です。

フロントは太さがあるが音抜けが良く、リアは歪みの乗りが良く太さも抜けの良さもありバランスが良いサウンドでした。

ディマジオは昔から音の良さで有名で、ダンカンよりもディマジオが売れている理由もよく分かります。

「ディマジオは優等生」って言葉が昔からありますが、その理由として低価格でカタログ通りの音が鳴る安定感が信頼に繋がっていると思います。

This is a pickup and pot replacement and setup for a History Advanced model.

The pickups were replaced with DiMarzio DP192 and DP193 models provided by the customer, and the pots were replaced with CTS units.

The front pickup has a full-bodied tone with excellent projection, while the rear pickup delivers great distortion response, combining both richness and clarity for a well-balanced sound.

DiMarzio has long been renowned for its sound quality, and it’s easy to see why DiMarzio sells better than Duncan.

There’s an old saying that “DiMarzio is the top student,” and I believe the reason for this is the reliability that comes from their low price and consistent performance—they sound exactly as advertised.

リアPUが壊れていて音が出ない状態です。
ピックアップは突然壊れる事がある為、ある日急に音が出なくなる時があります。

PU本体が断線してしまっているとどうしようもないので交換がお勧めです。
巻き直し等をしてくれる所があれば良いですが、同じ音になるか限らない上に値段を考えたら買って交換が早いと思います。

お客様持ち込みのバーストバッカーProに交換しました。

音が柔らかくカリカリしない、音が良いPUです。

リアはどうしてもポジション的に音が硬くなりますが、柔らかめの音がするPUをセレクトするとバランスが良く非常に使い易くなると思います。

This is a pickup replacement and setup for a Gibson Les Paul.

The bridge pickup was broken and not producing any sound.
Pickups can fail suddenly, so there are times when they just stop working one day.

If the pickup itself has a broken wire, there’s nothing that can be done, so replacement is recommended.
It would be great if there were a shop that could rewind it, but since there’s no guarantee the sound would be the same, and considering the cost, I think buying a replacement is the faster option.

We replaced it with a Burstbacker Pro that the customer provided.

It’s a high-quality pickup with a smooth, mellow tone that doesn’t sound harsh.

The sound from the bridge pickup tends to be a bit harsh due to its position, but selecting a pickup with a softer tone creates a good balance and makes the guitar much easier to play.

アリエクスプレスで購入したというフォデラ風のオーダーベースのPU交換・配線直し・ノイズ対策処理・セットアップです。

製造元等の出所不明で低価格な事もあり当然ながら様々な不都合点があります。

PUがもしかして4弦用？なのか、1弦と5弦の音が小さいです。
特に5弦は音が小さ過ぎて他の弦の音量と3～4周りは小さく使い勝手が非常に悪いです。
恐らくPU内部のポールピースが5弦まで来ていません。PU高を高くしても音量が大きくならないので、5弦用のPUではない可能性があります。

またブリッジの弦ピッチがかなり広く、約20ｍｍはあります。

他にも配線が雑でノイズが多く、塗装が雑で剥がれたりする所が多数あります。

お客様持ち込みのアギュラーPUとプリアンプに交換、ザグリ内をノイズ対策処理して組み直しする事となりました。

お客様持ち込みのパーツなのでサイズ等は事前に確認してから購入した方が良いアドバイスはしていましたが、現物は若干違うのかザグリ内に僅かに入りませんでした。

こうしたパーツの注意点をYoutube等でも発信していますがPUの上面側と底面側で大きさが異なります。
横からみると台形の様な形状になっており、メーカーのページに記載されている寸法図はこの「上面側」になります。
上面側の数値だけを見て入ると判断しても、底面側が大きいのでザグリがギリギリだと入らない事が普通に出てきます。
そもそもメーカーもその表記をした方が良いと思います。実際に寸法図が違うのですから。

ザグリにパーツが入らないのでお客様と相談し、お客様の要望でザグリを空けるのではなくPUの側面を削って入れる事になりました。
僅かな数値なのでパーツ自体を加工する手段もアリですがメーカーの保証は無くなります。こちらでもPU本体に手を加える作業の保証は致しておりません。
万が一壊れても自己責任になります。

仕上げてみるとパッシブ時でも音が良く、各弦の音量バランスも良くてかなり良いサウンドです。
ベース本体の出所は変な所ですが、アギュラーの良いパーツで構成すると非常に良いベースサウンドになる事が知れて良い勉強にもなりました。
クオリティ面でもフレット箇所でビビりがある所がありますが、アンプを通せはそこまで気にならないかと思います。
フレットサイドは怪我するかもしれないので、必要であればサイド処理はした方が良い状態です。

This is a project involving pickup replacement, rewiring, noise reduction, and setup for a custom Fodera-style bass purchased on AliExpress.

Since the manufacturer and origin are unknown and the price was low, it naturally has various issues.

The pickups might be designed for a 4-string bass, as the sound from the 1st and 5th strings is very quiet.
The 5th string, in particular, is so quiet that it’s about three to four times quieter than the other strings, making it very difficult to play.
It’s likely that the pole pieces inside the pickup don’t extend all the way to the 5th string. Since raising the pickup height doesn’t increase the volume, it’s possible this isn’t a pickup designed for a 5-string.

Additionally, the wiring is sloppy and produces a lot of noise, and the finish is rough with numerous areas where the paint is peeling.

We decided to replace it with an Agular pickup and preamp provided by the customer, apply noise-reduction treatment inside the cutaway, and reassemble the instrument.

Since these were parts provided by the customer, I had advised them to check the dimensions beforehand before purchasing. However, the actual part was slightly different and didn’t quite fit into the counterbore.

I’ve shared these precautions regarding such parts on YouTube and other platforms: the top and bottom surfaces of the PU have different dimensions.
When viewed from the side, it has a trapezoidal shape, and the dimensional drawings listed on the manufacturer’s website show this “top surface.”
Even if you assume it will fit based solely on the top-side measurements, the bottom side is larger, so it’s common for the part to not fit if the cutout is too tight.
I think the manufacturer should actually specify this. After all, the actual dimensions are different.

Since the part wouldn’t fit in the cutout, I consulted with the customer, and at their request, we decided to shave down the side of the pickup instead of enlarging the cutout.
Since the difference is minimal, modifying the part itself is an option, but this would void the manufacturer’s warranty. We also do not provide a warranty for any modifications made to the pickup itself.
If it breaks, it will be at your own risk.

Once finished, the sound is excellent even in passive mode, with good volume balance across all strings—it’s a really great sound.
Although the origin of the bass itself is a bit unusual, it was a good learning experience to see that using high-quality Agular parts results in an excellent bass sound.
In terms of quality, there is some buzzing at the frets, but I don’t think it will be too noticeable once you plug it into an amp.
The fret sides are sharp and could cause injury, so if necessary, I recommend sanding them down.

フェンダーメキシコ製ジャズベースのPU交換・セットアップです。

元のノイズレスPUからフェンダーカスタムショップ製60ｓに交換です。

音の輪郭が分かり易くなり、音の形が見え易いベースサウンドになったと思います。

フェンダーのノイズレスPUはギターもベースも音がコモる傾向に思います。
その為、音の形が見え難く劣化が強い印象がありますが交換する事で改善が可能です。

This is a pickup replacement and setup for a Fender Mexico Jazz Bass.

I replaced the original Noiseless pickups with Fender Custom Shop 60s pickups.

I think the sound has become more defined, resulting in a bass tone where the shape of the notes is easier to discern.

I find that Fender’s Noiseless pickups tend to make both guitars and basses sound muddy.
As a result, the tone lacks definition and feels somewhat degraded, but this can be improved by replacing them.

元はグレコ製PUが付いているとの事ですが、こちらからエピフォン製PUへ交換です。

音が太くパワーがあるサウンドになりました。
エピフォン製PUはサンダーバードの定番PU交換の様子ですがパワフルで低域が鳴るのでアンサンブル上で良いベースサウンドになると思います。

This is a pickup replacement for a Gibson Thunderbird.

I was told it originally had Greco pickups, but I replaced them with Epiphone pickups.

The sound is now rich and powerful.
While Epiphone pickups are a standard choice for Thunderbird replacements, they’re powerful and deliver strong low-end response, so I think they’ll provide a great bass sound in an ensemble setting.

フェンダーメキシコ製ストラトキャスターのPU交換・コンデンサ交換です。

ルジール製のオーダーしたPUに交換です。

過去にルジールでオーダーしたPUを使用し、そこから自分好みに寄せていくオーダーを数回繰り返しやっと希望通りのモデルが作れた様子です。
音抜けが良くやや太めのサウンドで非常にバランスが良いリアPUになりました。

ストラトキャスターのリアＰＵは皆様も困っていると思いますが、ＰＵ交換でリアが今度は「パワーが有り過ぎる」や「フロント・センターとのバランスが悪い」となる事が多いです。
リアは「ほんの少しのパワーがほしい」はずですが、それを叶えてくれるＰＵが実はあまりありません。
好みもあると思いますが、リアＰＵはポジションとして音が細くなるのでやや音の太さが欲しく、その太さに高域が負けるとリアとして旨みを失うので低音と高音のバランス感がある上で少しパワーが必要な特殊なポジションです。

お客様の要望でコンデンサを0.022ufに交換しました。
ポットのkΩ数・コンデンサの数値で音が変わってくるので自分好みに付け替えた方が良いです。
この辺りに決まりはありません。

This is a pickup and capacitor replacement on a Fender Mexico Stratocaster.

We’re replacing the pickups with custom-made ones from Luzil.

It seems the owner used pickups previously ordered from Luzil, fine-tuning them to his liking through several iterations until he finally achieved the exact model he wanted.
The result is a rear pickup with excellent projection, a slightly fuller tone, and excellent balance.

I imagine many of you struggle with the Stratocaster’s bridge pickup; when replacing it, the bridge often ends up being “too powerful” or “out of balance with the neck and middle pickups.”
Ideally, you’d want “just a little more power” from the bridge pickup, but there aren’t actually many pickups that can deliver that.
Preferences vary, of course, but since the sound tends to get thinner in the bridge position, you want a bit of body. If the high frequencies overpower that body, the bridge loses its appeal, so it’s a unique position that requires a balance between low and high frequencies along with a bit of power.

At the customer’s request, I replaced the capacitor with a 0.022uF unit.
Since the sound changes depending on the pot’s resistance and the capacitor’s value, it’s best to swap them out to suit your own preferences.
There are no set rules regarding this.

お客様持ち込みのフロントPUにセイモアダンカン製SH-55、リアにGibsonの80年代PAFを付けた状態です。

配線がベルデンのヴィンテージ配線、コンデンサにバンブルビーの組み合わせです。

フロントは音が甘い傾向だが音抜けが良く、リアはバーストバッカー1より柔らかくやや出力がある感じです。

古い年代製のＰＵは磁力落ちの影響で音が柔らかくなるので、現行品にも同じ物があると比べたらハッキリと音の違いが分かるかと思います。

Wiring rework and setup for a Navigator-made Les Paul Custom.

The customer-supplied front pickup is a Seymour Duncan SH-55, and the rear is a Gibson 80s PAF.

Wiring uses Belden vintage wire paired with Bumblebee capacitors.

The front pickup has a sweet tone but excellent projection, while the rear feels softer than a Burstbucker 1 with slightly more output.

Older pickups tend to have softer tones due to magnetic field decay. Comparing them to current models with the same model number should clearly reveal the tonal difference.

ヴァンザンド製ストラトキャスターのPU交換・セットアップです。

ルジールPUのオーダーPUをリアPUに交換です。

ポールピースが調整できる仕様ですが製造上ピッチが狭い物しか作れないそうで、リアに付けると弦下にポールピース位置が来ません。

ストラトのリアを太くした様な音で、通常のギラギラとした細いリアと比べ太さがあり音抜けがあって非常に良いと思います。
モッサリ感があってマイルドなリアになるので耳に痛い音にならず使い易くなったと思います。

Vanzand Stratocaster pickup replacement and setup.

Replacing the rear pickup with a custom-order Rujir pickup.

Although the pole pieces are adjustable, apparently only narrow-pitch ones can be manufactured. When installed in the rear position, the pole piece position doesn’t align under the strings.

It produces a sound reminiscent of a thickened Strat rear pickup. Compared to the typical bright, thin rear sound, this has more body and projection, which I think is excellent.
It creates a mild, slightly muffled rear tone, avoiding harshness and making it much easier to use.

アイバニーズ製RGのPU交換・セットアップです。

PUは自分でも勧めているGOTOH製HB-Distortionに交換です。

名前的に高出力なパワー型PUに思いがちですが音のバランスが良く癖も無いので扱い易いPUです。

フロントは元の音を太くパワーを上げた感じでブーミーにならないクリアなフロントサウンド、リアはパワーと音抜けのバランスがよく、リアとしてのサウンドバランスが良いです。

PUの高さによってもキャラクターが素直に変わっていくので、自分好みに調整もし易いです。

低価格帯でも音が良いPUはいくつも存在するので、わざわざ高額なピックアップを購入する必要も無いと思います。

This is a pickup replacement and setup for an Ibanez RG.

The pickups were replaced with GOTOH HB-Distortion models, which I personally recommend.

While the name might suggest high-output power pickups, they actually offer excellent tonal balance with no harshness, making them very easy to handle.

The front pickup thickens the original tone while boosting power, delivering a clear front sound without becoming boomy. The rear pickup strikes a good balance between power and projection, offering excellent sound balance for a rear pickup.

The character changes naturally with pickup height, making it easy to adjust to your personal preference.

There are many good-sounding pickups available even in the lower price range, so I don’t think it’s necessary to go out of your way to buy expensive pickups.
