太い弦を張りダウンチューニング用になってた物をナット交換しゲージ変更です。

ドロップC#にて52-10で仕上げました。

太い弦だと張力さえあれば多少ナットの弦溝がガバガバでも何とかなる事もありますが、2～3段ゲージを落とすなら交換した方が良いです。
また3弦が巻き弦だった場合は大きく太さが異なるので、そうした場合も交換して仕上げた方が良いです。

This is a nut replacement on an Ibanez Iron Label.

I replaced the nut and changed the gauge on a guitar that had been set up for down-tuning with thick strings.

I finished it with a 52-10 gauge setup for Drop C#.

With thicker strings, you can sometimes get by even if the nut slots are a bit loose as long as there’s enough tension, but if you’re dropping the gauge by two or three sizes, it’s better to replace the nut.
Also, if the third string is a wound string, the difference in thickness is significant, so in that case, it’s best to replace the nut and finish the setup.

PU切り替えで音が出ない時がある・大きく順反りしている状態です。

全体のフレット消耗が大きい・ナットが消耗で死にかけですが一応は音詰まり無く弾けるレベルではあります。

トグルスイッチを交換し、セットアップする事で弾き易い状態に仕上げる事ができました。

This is a setup and toggle switch replacement for a Gibson Les Paul Gothic.

The guitar sometimes produces no sound when switching pickups, and the neck is significantly bowing forward.

The frets are heavily worn overall, and the nut is nearly worn out, but it’s still playable without any muting issues.

By replacing the toggle switch and performing a setup, we were able to restore the guitar to a comfortable playing condition.

ジャックプレートのビスがナメっておりガタガタな状態だった為、穴を埋めて空け直しジャックプレートがしっかりと止まる状態に直しました。

よく使うギター、古いギターは何度もパーツ交換する様な個所のビスはナメりがちになります。

電装パーツだとジャックは一番消耗し交換頻度が多くなるパーツなので、この部分は長く使っていれば何度も付け外しを行ってビス山も崩れてくると思います。

壊れたビス穴は埋めて開け直せば復活しますので、ガタガタになった際は直す事をお勧めします。

This is a repair and setup for the jack plate screw holes on a Jackson Randy V.

The jack plate screws were stripped and the plate was loose, so I filled the holes and re-drilled them to ensure the jack plate is securely fastened.

On guitars that are used frequently or are older, screws in areas where parts are frequently replaced tend to become stripped.

When it comes to electronic components, the jack is the part that wears out the fastest and needs to be replaced most often. If you’ve been using this part for a long time, repeated installation and removal will likely cause the screw threads to strip.

Damaged screw holes can be restored by filling them and re-drilling them, so I recommend fixing them if they become loose.

リアPUが壊れていて音が出ない状態です。
ピックアップは突然壊れる事がある為、ある日急に音が出なくなる時があります。

PU本体が断線してしまっているとどうしようもないので交換がお勧めです。
巻き直し等をしてくれる所があれば良いですが、同じ音になるか限らない上に値段を考えたら買って交換が早いと思います。

お客様持ち込みのバーストバッカーProに交換しました。

音が柔らかくカリカリしない、音が良いPUです。

リアはどうしてもポジション的に音が硬くなりますが、柔らかめの音がするPUをセレクトするとバランスが良く非常に使い易くなると思います。

This is a pickup replacement and setup for a Gibson Les Paul.

The bridge pickup was broken and not producing any sound.
Pickups can fail suddenly, so there are times when they just stop working one day.

If the pickup itself has a broken wire, there’s nothing that can be done, so replacement is recommended.
It would be great if there were a shop that could rewind it, but since there’s no guarantee the sound would be the same, and considering the cost, I think buying a replacement is the faster option.

We replaced it with a Burstbacker Pro that the customer provided.

It’s a high-quality pickup with a smooth, mellow tone that doesn’t sound harsh.

The sound from the bridge pickup tends to be a bit harsh due to its position, but selecting a pickup with a softer tone creates a good balance and makes the guitar much easier to play.

Youtubeでも紹介しましたが、ブログでも分析内容をまとめます。

●ギター・・・ノイズが激減。歪みの量が下がった様にも聴こえるが、実際は音を濁す成分が大きく減るので歪み量が減った様に聴こえる。ミュート音の音抜けも良くなりプレーン弦の痛いノイズ帯域が消え音が柔らかくなる。

●オーディオ・・・今までと全然違う。音が乾き、各楽器の分離が非常に良くなった。アースの性能が低いと音に湿り気を与え、各楽器に纏わり付くノイズが多くなり分離が悪くなる事が分かった。

～まとめ～

凄い効果。

アースに接続しただけではダメって事を学べる。

繋げないよりはアースに接続した方が良いが、それだけでは100点にならない事を知れる。

確実に音が良くなるので部屋に導入した方が良い。

機器の電〇波も減る様子で、部屋の空間が軽くなる。

これは今まで使ってなかった事に後悔するレベル。
もう一度言うが「機器をアースに接続するだけではダメ（未熟）」って事を知っててほしい。

太い弦を張ってドロップA#仕様にする依頼です。
またゴールドパーツに交換です。

666ｍｍスケールのモデルで、56弦を張って溝切りしましたがA♯だと後ほんの気持ち太いのでも良いかもしれません。

フロントはかなりクリアで響きが良く、歪むと粘りが出てギブソンっぽい太いニュアンスが出ます。
リアはパワーがあり歪み時は良さげのモダン系サウンドです。

スケールが長いと張力が強くなり、1～2段ゲージ上げた様な感覚になりますのでダウンチューニング時は非常に良い恩恵が得られます。

This is a setup for a Dragonfly Border 666, including peg replacement, bridge replacement, nut slot adjustment, and general setup.

The request was to string it with heavier strings and set it up for Drop A# tuning.
We also replaced the hardware with gold parts.

This is a 666mm scale model. We strung it with 56-gauge strings and adjusted the nut slots, but for A# tuning, it might be better to go with strings that are just a tiny bit heavier.

The front pickup is quite clear with great resonance, and when distorted, it develops a sticky quality that produces a thick, Gibson-like tone.
The rear pickup is powerful and delivers a nice modern sound when distorted.

A longer scale length increases string tension, creating a sensation similar to using strings one or two gauges thicker, which provides significant benefits when down-tuning.

昨日の新品で購入した不具合箇所をお店に伝え、セール特価になっていないもう1本の新品に交換対応してもらったとの事です。

お店にはこの2本しかなかったとの事ですが、明らかこちらは基本状態が良く、昨日の同じAZと大きく違うのはナット高でした。

ナット高が適切で弾き易いのですが、昨日の返品したモデルは安物の様なナット高でした。

返品して別の個体に変えてもらった事から弾き易さはこちらの方が断然上です。
個体によってこんな製造精度の差があるの？って驚くレベルです。

音質も結構違いました。
こちらの個体の方がより音がタイト、煌びやかでモダン系なサウンド傾向です。

音質に関しては返品した個体の方がもう少し音が柔らかくヴィンテージ系とモダン系を良い所取りしていたサウンドだっただけに、こちらも含めて個体差でも大きな差が出ていると思いました。

Here is the setup for the Ibanez Prestige AZ2204.

I informed the store about the defects I found in the brand-new model I purchased yesterday, and they replaced it with another brand-new one that wasn’t on sale.

The store apparently only had these two in stock, but this one is clearly in much better condition overall. The biggest difference from the AZ I returned yesterday was the nut height.

The nut height is just right and makes it very playable, whereas the model I returned yesterday had a nut height that felt like a cheap guitar.

Since I returned it and got a different one, this one is by far easier to play.
It’s surprising to see such a difference in manufacturing precision between individual instruments.

The tone was quite different as well.
This one has a tighter, brighter, and more modern sound.

As for the tone, the one I returned had a slightly softer sound that blended the best of both vintage and modern styles, so I realized that even including that one, there are significant differences between individual instruments.

楽器屋で新品購入の日本製モデルです。

店頭で同じギターが2本置いており、片方の1本がセール品で安く売っていた物を購入したとの事です。

弦高が高く、ナット高もやや高い状態でした。
調整してみるとフレットが浮いている箇所があり音が詰まり気味の箇所があり、更にチョーキングで音が詰まる状態です。

フレット浮きが発生している箇所があり、お客様に状態を説明し買った楽器屋に事情を説明して返品をお勧めしました。

音に関してはブーミーとタイトの中間位で凄くバランスが良いです。

状態がこうで無ければ音質面では非常に良い個体でした。

This is the setup for an Ibanez Prestige AZ2204.

It is a Japanese-made model purchased new from a music store.

The customer mentioned that there were two identical guitars in the store, and they purchased the one that was on sale at a discounted price.

The string action was high, and the nut height was also slightly high.
Upon inspection, I found some frets were lifting, causing the sound to get muffled in certain areas, and the sound would also get muffled when bending the strings.

Since there were areas with floating frets, I explained the situation to the customer and recommended returning the guitar to the store where it was purchased.

As for the tone, it’s somewhere between boomy and tight—it has excellent balance.

If it weren’t for these issues, this would have been a fantastic instrument in terms of sound quality.

倒してナットが割れたとの事で、新しく作り直しました。

ナット等は衝撃で割れたり、中古品で購入していると摩耗で低くなっている場合も多いので中古ギターのナットは交換しておきたい部分です。
他にもフレットも消耗具合によりすり合わせ等を行うと良いでしょう。

Replacing the nut on a Gibson Flying V.

The owner told me the nut had cracked when the guitar was dropped, so I made a new one.

Nuts can crack from impact, and if you buy a used guitar, they’re often worn down, so it’s a good idea to replace the nut on a used guitar.
It’s also a good idea to have the frets dressed or leveled depending on their wear and tear.
