スターリン製StingRayのセットアップです。

トラスロッド余り量がかなり少ない状態です。

調整でトラスロッド限界状態となり、それでも順反りしている状態です。

フラットワウンド弦に交換、少し通常の弦より張力が落ちるので反りが真っ直ぐに近くなり順反りが緩和されました。

こうしたトラスロッド限界状態の個体は今よりも細いゲージを使用して弦張力を減らし、ネック順反りを抑えないと弾き難い状態となります。

ベースも40-100や35-95等と細いゲージがあるので、こうした弦もトラスロッドが限界でレギュラーゲージ（45-105）を使用しているなら細い弦に交換するだけで順反りが緩和されます。

This is the setup for a Stalin-made StingRay.

There is very little truss rod adjustment range left.

After adjustment, the truss rod has reached its limit, yet the neck is still bowing forward.

I switched to flatwound strings; since they have slightly lower tension than standard strings, the neck straightened out more, alleviating the forward bow.

On instruments like this where the truss rod is at its limit, it becomes difficult to play unless you use a thinner gauge to reduce string tension and minimize the neck bow.

Since bass strings come in thinner gauges, such as 40-100 or 35-95, if your truss rod is at its limit and you’re currently using standard gauge (45-105) strings, simply switching to these thinner strings will alleviate the forward bow.
