  • KSD製Priti-Jのセットアップです。

    ケンスミスの低価格帯モデルの様です。
    殆どトラスロッドに余裕が無い状態です。

    PUは良いかもしれないがプリアンプが微妙で、低価格帯モデルならしょうがないですが物足りなさを感じます。
    逆に言えばプリアンプを好みな物に交換すると大きく変化するモデルとも言えます。

    精度は良く特にトラブル無しでした。
    6弦ベースとなると低価格帯モデルでは数が少ないので気軽に使用できる選択肢としてお勧めモデルです。

    Looks like a low end model from Kensmith.
    There is almost no room on the truss rod.

    The PU may be good, but the preamp is not so good, and I feel it is not enough for a low-priced model.

    The accuracy is good, and I had no particular trouble with it.
    I would recommend this model as an easy-to-use option for 6-string basses, as there are only a few in the low price range.

  • ギブソンカスタムショップ製フライングVのセットアップ・ジャック交換です。

    大きく順反りして弾き難い状態です。

    お客様はこちらの前に他店に持ち込んで状態を確認頂いた話を聞いておりますが、そこではフレット交換が必要な状態と言われたそうです。
    無知な人は騙されて作業を頼むかもしれませんが、そうしたお店がある事を覚えていて下さい。

    調整する事で弾き易くなり、特に状態についてもフレット交換を考える様な状態でもありませんでした。

    ジャックが錆びで音が出ない事があるので新品に交換し、問題が無い状態に仕上げる事ができました。

    This is a setup jack replacement for a Gibson Custom Shop Flying V.

    It is hard to play due to the large forward warp.

    The customer brought the guitar to another store to check the condition of the guitar and was told that the frets needed to be replaced.
    Ignorant people may be tricked into asking for work, but please remember that there are stores that do this.

    The fretboard was easy to play after the adjustment, and the condition of the fretboard was not such that we should consider replacing the frets.

    The jack was replaced with a new one because it sometimes loses sound due to rust, and we were able to finish the guitar without any problems.

    トーカイ製プレシジョンベースのPU交換・ノイズ対策処理です。

    PUはヴァンザント製ヴィンテージプラスに交換です。

    ノイズ処理塗料をザグリ内に塗る加工になります。
    ノイズ対策を行えばパッシブでもノイズに強い効果を得られますが反対に高域を削る結果となります。
    ノイズには強くなりますが音質と言う意味では劣化する事になります。

    ピックガード裏にはモントルーのピックガード用の大きいアルミテープを貼ってより対策しております。

    Youtube動画でも紹介したモデルですが加工前・加工後の状態が見れますので確認下さい。

    The PU is replaced with a Van Zandt Vintage Plus.

    Noise treatment paint is applied to the inside of the counterweight.
    Noise suppression will give a strong effect against noise even with a passive bass, but on the contrary, it will result in the reduction of the high frequency range.
    Although it is more resistant to noise, the sound quality will be degraded.

    We put a large aluminum tape for Montreux pickguard on the back of the pickguard to prevent this problem.

  • ムーン製Climb5のセットアップです。

    順反りして弾き難い状態です。

    調整でトラスロッドが限界状態となりました。

    音が良く弾き易い個体です。

    古い年代製のムーンはかなり良かった印象がありますが、現行品と比べ大きな差がある様に感じます。
    昔は独特な材の組み合わせで独自性のある優秀な楽器が多かった印象がありますが、やはり世の中の殆どの人にその良さが分かってもらえませんでした。
    こうして良いブランドが正しく評価されず規模が縮小していく事となりますので皆様の知識のレベルアップも必要になってきます。
    世の中から良い物が少なくなる結果になるからです。

  • C.F.Martin D-18 Authentic 1937 PU取り付け＆ストラップピン取り付け

    マーチン製D-18のPU取付け・ストラップピン取付です。

    持ち込みのL.R.バックス取り付けとストラップピン取り付けです。
    PU本体は使用する際に取り付けるとの事で穴空けと配線の引き回しのみ行いました。

    トラスロッドが入っていないモデルです。
    弦を張ると少し順反りしますが弾けるレベルではあります。

    音が暴れず綺麗に鳴り、良いサウンドです。
    弦振動が良く鳴る印象で、トラスロッドの様な不純物が仕込まれていない楽器は自然で良い鳴りがすると感じました。
    ただしこの状態なので反ったら調整不可となります。
    実際に弦を張ると順反りするネック強度なので今後の扱いも注意しないといけません。

    またこうした個体は弦を緩めて保管しないと順反りしてしまった際に弦高が高くなり弾き難くなります。順反り具合によりハイポジション付近で音詰まりも発生してきます。
    トラスロッドが入っていないモデルは特殊かもしれませんが「弦を緩めないで良い」という人に多い言い訳が「トラスロッドの力でバランスしてる」等と言ったりますが、こうした個体はどう説明するのか疑問です。
    実際に弦を張りっぱなしで状態が悪くなっている事が世の中多い事なのに、そろそろ業界の皆様も情報をアップデートしてほしい所です。
    本当に張りっぱなしで良いのなら、状態が悪い楽器は存在しなくなります。

    PU installation and strap pin installation for Martin D-18.

    This is the installation of L.R. backs and strap pins.

    The PU itself will be installed when it is used, so we only drilled the holes and routed the wiring.

    This model does not have a truss rod.

    When the strings are stretched, there is a little bit of forward bowing, but it is still playable.

    The sound is not violent and clean, and it has a good sound.

    I had the impression that the string vibration sounded good, and I felt that instruments without impurities such as truss rods in them have a natural and good sound.

    However, since it is in this state, it is not adjustable if it warps.

    The neck actually warps forward when the strings are stretched, so we have to be careful in handling it in the future.

    Also, if you do not keep the strings loose on such an instrument, the string height will be high and it will be difficult to play. Depending on the warp condition, the sound may become clogged in the high position.

    Models without a truss rod may be special, but many people who say that they do not need to loosen the strings often say that the strings are balanced by the power of the truss rod, but I wonder how they explain this.

    I wonder how to explain such a model. In fact, there are many cases in the world in which the strings are actually deteriorated by leaving them stretched, and it is time for the industry to update the information.

    If it were really okay to leave the strings on, there would be no instruments in bad condition.

  • ヤマハ製MG-MⅡのセットアップです。

    中古で購入したとの事ですが殆どトラスロッドに余裕が無い状態です。
    調整でトラスロッドが限界となりました。

    弦を切らないで張れるフロイドローズが搭載されたモデルで調整がし易いです。

    B’zファンが購入するモデルかと思いますが、こちらのモデルは音が非常に良いです。
    これはファンでなくてもお勧めの１台です。

    フロントはマイルド、リアは歪みのノリが非常に良くB’zっぽい歪みサウンドでもあるので本人が使用しているのも納得な気がします。

    This is a Yamaha MG-M II setup.

  • YAMAHA BB ジャック交換＆セットアップ

  • ヤマハ製BBのジャック交換・セットアップです。

    かなり古いモデルです。
    ジャックが割れて音が出ない状態です。

    昔のモデルはエフェクターに付いている様なプラスチックケースのジャックが付いており、これが割れて破損すると音が出なくなります。
    新しいジャックに交換し無事に音が出せる状態になりました。

    順反りで弾き難い状態を調整して弾き易くしました。

    ヤマハ製は昔から低価格帯で優秀で、まず欠点がありません。
    音が良く弾き易い、そして安いです。

  • フェンダーカスタムショップ製ストラトキャスターのジャック交換・セットアップです。

    ジャック不良でまともに音が出ない状態です。
    ジャックは消耗品で一番楽器で消耗するパーツですので使用頻度にもよりますが1年単位で交換した方が良いと思います。

    他にも順反りで弾き難い状態を調整し弾き易くしました。

    高額な楽器でも特別凄いパーツが付いている等ではなく、パーツは他ブランドと同じく消耗しますので使用頻度が高いギターのパーツはガリが出たタイミングで交換した方が良いです。

  • Sadowsky MetroLine 21-Fret Hybrid P/J Bass セットアップ

  • サドウスキー製メトロライン、ハイブリッドベースのセットアップです。

    現行品で多い特有のトラスロッドの余り量が殆ど無い状態、調整後にトラスロッド限界となりました。
    新しい年代は木材の強度がとにかく弱い傾向なので、トラスロッドの余裕も少なく長持ちしないと思います。

    100-45の細い弦を使用して何とか弾ける状態となりました。

    トラスロッドの余裕が無い楽器は弦のゲージを細い物を使用して物理的負荷を減らす等する事も有効です。
    弦張力に負けて順反りするので、その原因を減らせば単純に順反りし難くはなります。
    またトラスロッド限界で順反りとなっても極端に細いゲージに交換すれば弦張力が大幅に下がり、ネックの順反り具合も緩和されるのでロッドの余り量に応じ弦のゲージを細い物へ使用制限する等の工夫も必要です。

    音は良いだけにこれ以上の状態が悪くならない様に、知識を付けて保管し長く使用する努力が必要です。

    This is a Sadowski Metroline, hybrid bass setup.

    The truss rod has almost no extra amount of truss rod, which is peculiar to many current products, and after adjustment, the truss rod was at its limit.
    The newer age tends to have weaker wood strength anyway, so I don’t think it will last long with little truss rod room.

    We used thin 100-45 strings and managed to make the instrument playable.

    If the instrument does not have enough room on the truss rod, it is effective to use a thinner string gauge to reduce the physical load.
    Since the forward bowing is caused by the tension of the strings, reducing the cause of the bowing will simply make it more difficult for the strings to bow forward.
    Even if the neck bends forward at the truss rod limit, replacing the strings with extremely thin gauges will greatly reduce the string tension and alleviate the bowing of the neck, so it is necessary to limit the use of thin string gauges according to the amount of rod left over.

    The sound is good, so we need to make an effort to store it with knowledge and use it for a long time so that the condition does not deteriorate further.
