FenderMexico ストラトキャスターセットアップ

フェンダーメキシコ製ストラトキャスターのセットアップです。

新品購入との事ですがかなり弦高が高い状態で弾き難いです。

トラスロッドの余り量が残り少ない状態で、新品でこの状態から使い続けるとなると長持ちはしないと思います。

現在は木材強度が昔と比べて非常に劣るので、新品でも弦張力に負けて大きく順反りそれをトラスロッドで真っ直ぐに直すので最初から多くトラスロッドが使われます。
だから新品でもトラスロッドに余裕が少ない物が多くなっています。

当然ながらそうした状態なので、弦を張ってたら順反りしていきトラスロッドの調整で直せる範囲を超えてきたらもうダメです。
新品時点でトラスロッドに余裕が少ない楽器はそうした楽器を買う意味でもあるので、購入前に必ず目の前で正しく調整できた上でトラスロッドを回させて余り量を確認して買わないと損です。

This is a setup for a Fender Mexico Stratocaster.

You mentioned you bought it brand new, but the string action is quite high, making it difficult to play.

There’s very little truss rod adjustment left, and if you continue playing it in this condition right out of the box, I don’t think it will last very long.

Nowadays, the strength of the wood is significantly inferior to what it used to be, so even brand-new guitars often warp significantly under string tension. Since the truss rod is used to straighten them out, a lot of adjustment is used up right from the start.
That’s why many brand-new guitars have very little truss rod adjustment left.

Naturally, in this condition, the neck will continue to bow forward as you play, and once it exceeds the range that can be corrected by adjusting the truss rod, the instrument is beyond repair.
Since buying an instrument with little truss rod adjustment range right out of the box is essentially the point of purchasing such an instrument, you’ll be wasting your money if you don’t have the dealer adjust it correctly right in front of you before buying—and let you turn the truss rod yourself to check the remaining adjustment range.

HISTORY Advanced PU交換＆ポット交換＆セットアップ Dimarzio DP192 DP193 Air Norton Air Zone

ヒストリー製アドバンスのPU交換・ポット交換・セットアップです。

PUはお客様持ち込みのディマジオ製DP192・DP193に交換とポットはCTSに交換です。

フロントは太さがあるが音抜けが良く、リアは歪みの乗りが良く太さも抜けの良さもありバランスが良いサウンドでした。

ディマジオは昔から音の良さで有名で、ダンカンよりもディマジオが売れている理由もよく分かります。

「ディマジオは優等生」って言葉が昔からありますが、その理由として低価格でカタログ通りの音が鳴る安定感が信頼に繋がっていると思います。

This is a pickup and pot replacement and setup for a History Advanced model.

The pickups were replaced with DiMarzio DP192 and DP193 models provided by the customer, and the pots were replaced with CTS units.

The front pickup has a full-bodied tone with excellent projection, while the rear pickup delivers great distortion response, combining both richness and clarity for a well-balanced sound.

DiMarzio has long been renowned for its sound quality, and it’s easy to see why DiMarzio sells better than Duncan.

There’s an old saying that “DiMarzio is the top student,” and I believe the reason for this is the reliability that comes from their low price and consistent performance—they sound exactly as advertised.

Bacchus Global Series BST-24 SSH スイッチ交換＆セットアップ

バッカス製BST-24のスイッチ交換・セットアップです。

メルカリで購入したとの事ですが非常に状態が悪く、素人作業されている箇所が目立ちます。

ブリッジのビスも曲がって付いていたり、恐らく交換してみたがビスのピッチが合わない物を無理矢理付けていたりしてます。

セレクターの状態が悪く交換し、安定して音が出せる状態になりました。

セットアップしてみるとフレット状態が非常に悪く、音詰まり箇所が多くまともに弾く事ができません。

メルカリは当然ながら素人が販売している事も多く、説明文に無い状態の悪さが買った後から分かる事も多いです。
ただ値段を聞くと、付いているパーツ代を考えたら得はしているのでこの辺りはどう考えるか購入者次第です。

この感じだと私の場合はパーツ代で得してるから本体は気にしないと思いますが、これらパーツが付いていなかったら返品レベルです。
最悪付いてるパーツを売ったら買った値段以上で売れはするので、損な買い物では無いかもしれません。

This is a switch replacement and setup for a Bacchus BST-24.

The owner mentioned purchasing it on Mercari, but it was in very poor condition, with obvious signs of amateur work.

The bridge screws were bent, and it appeared that the owner had tried replacing them but had forced in screws with the wrong pitch.

The selector switch was in poor condition, so I replaced it, and the guitar now produces a stable sound.

Upon setting it up, I found the frets to be in very poor condition, with many spots where the strings get caught, making it impossible to play properly.

As is often the case with Mercari, many items are sold by amateurs, and it’s common to discover issues not mentioned in the description only after purchasing.
However, considering the cost of the parts already installed, the buyer is actually getting a good deal—so whether to accept this or not is up to them.

In my case, since I’m saving on parts, I don’t mind the condition of the body itself, but if these parts weren’t included, I’d definitely return it.
At worst, I could sell the included parts for more than I paid for the guitar, so it might not be a total loss.

Jacson SL2 LH Ebony Fingerboard Metallic Black フレットすり合わせ

ジャクソン製SL2 のフレットすり合わせです。

フレットが部分的にかなり減っている・ネック全体の捻じれ（恐らく新品時のすり合わせ精度が悪い）が見られる状態です。

またナット高が元からかなり高い状態です。

低価格帯だけでなく高価格帯でもあったりしますがフロイドローズのナット高は精度が悪い物が多いです。
元から深く掘られてシム調整前提のモデルだったら調整が楽なのですが、そうでない木材に直接ナットが付いているタイプは高さが合っていないと削って合わせないといけません。

フレットすり合わせでより高くなったが弾いててそこまで気にならないとの事でした。
将来はフレット交換も視野に入れているとの事で、ここで削って高さ調整するとフレット交換時に高さ調整にシムが必要になってくるので手を加えない事にしました。
ただこの高さだとジャンボフレットに交換しても削って調整は必要になるかもしれませんが、この辺りは交換時の対処になります。

This is a fret leveling job on a Jackson SL2.

The frets are significantly worn in some areas, and there is noticeable warping along the entire neck (likely due to poor factory-set leveling).

Additionally, the nut height is quite high from the factory.

This is a common issue not only in lower-priced models but also in higher-end ones; many Floyd Rose nut heights lack precision.
If the nut were originally cut deep with shim adjustment in mind, the process would be straightforward. However, with models where the nut is attached directly to the wood, if the height isn’t correct, it must be filed down to match.

The customer mentioned that while the nut height increased slightly after the fret leveling, it didn’t bother them much when playing.
Since they are considering a future fret replacement, we decided not to make any adjustments here, as shaving the nut now would require shims for height adjustment during the replacement.
However, at this height, even if they switch to jumbo frets, shaving and adjustment might still be necessary—but that will be addressed at the time of replacement.

Ibanez Axion Label RGA61ALN-OEM ナット溝切り調整＆セットアップ

アイバニーズ製Axion Labelのナット溝切り調整・セットアップです。

56-10弦を張ってドロップC#にて仕上げる依頼です。

アイバニーズ製は低価格ながら音質が良く弾き易いモデルが多く、プロの方も多く使用者が居ます。

近年は高品質＋低価格が当たり前になってきており、10万円台でも手直しさえ行えばプロ現場でも使用可能なギターも多いです。

音がタイトでパワーがあり、ダウンチューニングにも合う歪みが出せる個体でした。

This is a setup and nut slot adjustment for an Ibanez Axion Label guitar.

The request was to string it with 56-10 gauge strings and set it up for Drop C# tuning.

Many Ibanez models offer great sound and playability at an affordable price, which is why they’re popular among professionals.

In recent years, high quality combined with low prices has become the norm, and even guitars in the 100,000 yen range can often be used in professional settings with just a little tweaking.

Ibanez GSR186-TUM 6弦ベースナット交換＆配線直し＆セットアップ

アイバニーズ製GSR186のナット交換・配線直し・セットアップです。

細い弦を使用し、ギターと同じチューニングで仕上げる仕様です。

低価格モデルながら作りが良く、かなり高いコストパフォーマンスモデルです。

電装パーツを全て交換、トグルスイッチでギターの様な仕様になりました。

仕上げ後も低価格だが意外と作りが良く弾き易い事に驚いています。
3万円台のモデルだそうですがトラスロッドも2本入っていて、低価格にしてはかなりしっかりしたモデルでお勧めです。
今まで触った6弦ベースで一番安くて弾き易く音も良いです。

This is a nut replacement, rewiring, and setup for an Ibanez GSR186.

It’s set up to use thin strings and tune to the same pitch as a standard guitar.

Although it’s a budget model, it’s well-built and offers excellent value for the price.

I replaced all the electronic components, and with the toggle switch, it now functions just like a guitar.

Even after the finish, I’m surprised by how well-built and easy to play it is, considering the low price.
I hear it’s a model in the 30,000 yen range, but it comes with two truss rods. For the price, it’s a very solid model, and I highly recommend it.
It’s the cheapest, easiest-to-play, and best-sounding 6-string bass I’ve ever played.

squier cyclone ペグ交換

スクワイヤー製サイクロンのペグ交換です。

ペグをGOTOH製に交換しました。

交換後は弾いてみるとフロントPUの音抜け感が変わった（音が硬くなった印象）様子です。

GOTOHは金属が硬いのか、音質的にも高域に寄る印象があるので持ち主が言うなら間違いはないと思います。

ロック式ペグ等もロック機構がある事で弦振動をネックに伝える力が落ちるのか、同じく高域に寄る（こちらは低域が減る）形になる事が多いです。

This is a string peg replacement for a Squier Cyclone.

I replaced the pegs with GOTOH ones.

After the replacement, when I played it, the sound projection from the front pickup seemed to have changed (it sounded harder).

Perhaps because GOTOH uses harder metal, the tone seems to lean more toward the high frequencies, so if the owner says so, I’m sure they’re right.

With locking tuners and similar types, the locking mechanism may reduce the force with which string vibrations are transmitted to the neck, often resulting in a similar shift toward the high frequencies (though in this case, the low frequencies are reduced).

Ibanez Iron Label ナット交換

アイバニーズ製アイアンレーベルのナット交換です。

太い弦を張りダウンチューニング用になってた物をナット交換しゲージ変更です。

ドロップC#にて52-10で仕上げました。

太い弦だと張力さえあれば多少ナットの弦溝がガバガバでも何とかなる事もありますが、2～3段ゲージを落とすなら交換した方が良いです。
また3弦が巻き弦だった場合は大きく太さが異なるので、そうした場合も交換して仕上げた方が良いです。

This is a nut replacement on an Ibanez Iron Label.

I replaced the nut and changed the gauge on a guitar that had been set up for down-tuning with thick strings.

I finished it with a 52-10 gauge setup for Drop C#.

With thicker strings, you can sometimes get by even if the nut slots are a bit loose as long as there’s enough tension, but if you’re dropping the gauge by two or three sizes, it’s better to replace the nut.
Also, if the third string is a wound string, the difference in thickness is significant, so in that case, it’s best to replace the nut and finish the setup.

Gibson Les Paul Gothic レスポールセットアップ＆トグルスイッチ交換

ギブソン製レスポールゴシックのセットアップ・トグルスイッチ交換です。

PU切り替えで音が出ない時がある・大きく順反りしている状態です。

全体のフレット消耗が大きい・ナットが消耗で死にかけですが一応は音詰まり無く弾けるレベルではあります。

トグルスイッチを交換し、セットアップする事で弾き易い状態に仕上げる事ができました。

This is a setup and toggle switch replacement for a Gibson Les Paul Gothic.

The guitar sometimes produces no sound when switching pickups, and the neck is significantly bowing forward.

The frets are heavily worn overall, and the nut is nearly worn out, but it’s still playable without any muting issues.

By replacing the toggle switch and performing a setup, we were able to restore the guitar to a comfortable playing condition.

Jackson ランディV ジャックプレートビス穴修正＆セットアップ

ジャクソン製ランディVのジャックプレートビス穴修正・セットアップです。

ジャックプレートのビスがナメっておりガタガタな状態だった為、穴を埋めて空け直しジャックプレートがしっかりと止まる状態に直しました。

よく使うギター、古いギターは何度もパーツ交換する様な個所のビスはナメりがちになります。

電装パーツだとジャックは一番消耗し交換頻度が多くなるパーツなので、この部分は長く使っていれば何度も付け外しを行ってビス山も崩れてくると思います。

壊れたビス穴は埋めて開け直せば復活しますので、ガタガタになった際は直す事をお勧めします。

This is a repair and setup for the jack plate screw holes on a Jackson Randy V.

The jack plate screws were stripped and the plate was loose, so I filled the holes and re-drilled them to ensure the jack plate is securely fastened.

On guitars that are used frequently or are older, screws in areas where parts are frequently replaced tend to become stripped.

When it comes to electronic components, the jack is the part that wears out the fastest and needs to be replaced most often. If you’ve been using this part for a long time, repeated installation and removal will likely cause the screw threads to strip.

Damaged screw holes can be restored by filling them and re-drilling them, so I recommend fixing them if they become loose.
