ギブソンカスタムショップ製レスポールカスタムのポット交換・セットアップです。

チューンOマチック、クルーソン純正テールピースを交換して調整が変になったとの事で持ち込まれました。

ブリッジサドルの台座を回すのが硬い状態です。恐らくブリッジスタッド穴のピッチが正しく合っていない様子です。

ボリュームポットにガリで音が出なくなるので交換、ポットがボディ穴が小さく嚙んでいて交換が大変でした。
パーツは基本的に木材に噛んではいけません。スカスカなのが正常です。
こちらは交換されていないので純正パーツ、製造時にこうなっている事になりますがビス穴に無理矢理ポットが付いています。

音が良いモデルで、太く音抜け良く非常に良いサウンド。
またハイレンジで音が良いのでフロントでもリアでも良好なサウンドです。

レスポールも重さ等で大きく音が変わるので、アタリ個体を手に入れたら手放さない方が良いでしょう。

Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Custom pot replacement and setup.

Brought in because tuning became erratic after replacing the Tune-O-Matic and Kluson original tailpiece.

The bridge saddle base is stiff to turn. Likely due to incorrect pitch in the bridge stud holes.

The volume pot was causing crackling and loss of sound, so it was replaced. The pot was tightly seated in the body hole, making replacement difficult.
Parts should generally not grip the wood tightly. Loose fit is normal.
This one hadn’t been replaced, so it’s an original part. It appears to have been manufactured this way, with the pot forced into the screw hole.

This is a great-sounding model with a thick, well-projected tone.
It also excels in the high range, delivering excellent sound whether using the front or rear pickup.

Les Pauls can vary significantly in tone due to weight and other factors, so if you find a good one, it’s best not to let it go.
