順反りで音詰まりしている状態です。

全体の消耗でフレット状態が悪いですが、弾く分には問題無く調整はできましたがすり合わせをお勧めします。

フレットの消耗は音程感を悪くするので、特にベースだとモワモワとした成分が多くなり音の輪郭が悪くなる原因になります。

This is a setup for a Fender Japan Jazz Bass.

The neck is warped and the sound is muffled.

The frets are in poor condition due to overall wear and tear, but I was able to adjust it so that it can be played without any issues. However, I recommend having it adjusted.

Worn frets can affect the pitch, and especially with basses, this can cause a lot of muffled tones and make the sound less clear.

バッカス製ジャズベースのセットアップです。

ペグがぶつけて壊れたとの事で、1個のみ交換する事となりました。

見た目が同じ様なペグがAmazonにあるMusiclilyで低価格で販売されておりますが、全く同じ物ではありません。
こちらはお客様の持ち込みです。

ビス穴の位置が合わず、ヘッドに付いたブッシュ内径も合わないので全交換するとそれなりの加工費になります。
壊れた1ヵ所のみを交換する事となりました。

ペグはGOTOH等で同じ様なペグが見つかると思いますが、こうした独自形状のペグは交換用が見つからず大変になります。
メーカーも独自パーツを付けるなら交換対応でメーカーが販売を行う等の対応をするか、市販品で同じ物が買えるパーツを付けていてほしいです。

This is a setup for a Bacchus jazz bass.

One of the pegs was broken due to impact, so we decided to replace only that one.

Musiclily on Amazon sells pegs that look similar at a low price, but they are not exactly the same.
This one was brought in by the customer.

The screw hole positions do not match, and the inner diameter of the bush attached to the head does not match either, so replacing all of them would incur a considerable amount of processing costs.
We decided to replace only the one that was broken.

While similar pegs may be available from manufacturers like GOTOH, pegs with unique shapes like this one are difficult to replace.
Manufacturers should either offer replacement parts through their own sales channels or use parts that can be purchased commercially.

フェンダーメキシコ製ジャズベースのフレットすり合わせです。

ネックのウネリで音がビビる状態です。
近年の木材は強度が弱い為、長く使用していると反り・ウネリが起こり易い印象で長持ちしないと思います。

また弦の張力バランスを考えたらダダリオの「バランスドテンション弦」の使用が近年の木材強度低下を考えると必須になってくるかもしれません。

また45-100等、細いゲージの使用も良くないと考えます。

例えば45-100弦、こちらは5弦パックですが張力が2弦と4弦で6ｋｇ程度も違いが出たりします。
1・2弦側と3・4弦側で音が違うと感じるのも、テンションピンが付いてるか付いてないか？の関係もありますが張力差が原因です。
特に4弦・5弦が緩く感じる人はベーシストに多いと思いますが気のせいではありません。実際に緩いです。

なので基本ベース弦は「細過ぎる」事を昔から発信しておりますが、張力バランスが悪い意味でもネックにウネリを与える結果にもなります。

バランスドテンション弦はこうした各弦の張力差を均一付近に調整した弦となり、これがウネリ等を与えない結果となるでしょう。

こちらのモデルもネックが柔らかいので1弦側と4弦側で反り具合が違う為、こうしたネックの柔らかさからくる反り状態も把握していないといけません。

個体により様々ですが「1弦側が順反りするか逆反りするか」、4弦側が「順反り傾向か逆反り傾向か？」と異なる事も多いです。

それに加えてトラスロッドの効き具合が1弦側と4弦側で異なってもきますので、こうした強度が弱いネックはリペアだけでなく調整の事も考えて直すとなれば難易度が上がります。

The neck is warped, causing the sound to buzz.
Wood used in recent years tends to be weak, so I think it is prone to warping and bending after prolonged use, and does not last long.

Also, considering the tension balance of the strings, it may be necessary to use D’Addario’s “Balanced Tension Strings” in light of the recent decline in wood strength.

Furthermore, using thinner gauges such as 45-100 is also not recommended.

For example, with 45-100 strings, this is a 5-string pack, but there is a difference of about 5 kg in tension between the 2nd and 4th strings.
Many bassists feel that the 4th and 5th strings are loose, but this is not just their imagination. They are actually loose.

Therefore, we have always said that bass strings are “too thin,” but poor tension balance also results in warping of the neck.

Balanced tension strings are designed to adjust the tension differences between each string to a uniform level, which should prevent warping.

This model also has a soft neck, so the curvature differs between the 1st and 4th strings. It’s important to understand the curvature caused by the neck’s softness.

This varies by individual instrument, but the 1st string side may have a forward bow or a reverse bow, and the 4th string side may have a forward bow tendency or a reverse bow tendency.

Additionally, the effectiveness of the truss rod may differ between the 1st string side and the 4th string side, so repairing such a weak neck not only requires repair but also adjustment, which increases the difficulty.

大きく順反りしている事とハイ起きしています。

調整でトラスロッド限界、ハイポジションで音詰まりが起きていますが一応は弾けるレベルの弦高にはできました。

弦を張りっぱなしにしていればこの様な状態になります。
よく言われる「トラスロッドの力でネック反りはバランスしているので緩めない方が良い」とか言うバカがリペアマンでも沢山居るのですが、ロッドの力が効かないハイポジション等はこの様に起き上がって状態が悪くなる訳です。
バランスできてたとしてもそれはトラスロッドが一番効く中心部のみをピンポイントで言った様な言葉であり、木材も全ての箇所が一定の強度でない事や弦の張力バランスが違うので捻じれる様な力が加わってる所にトラスロッドの力だけで反りをバランスさせるのはあくまで一時的な物であり常にバランスする事は不可能です。
そもそも本当に張りっぱなしで大丈夫ならこの様に状態が悪い個体は存在しなくなります。
特にハイ起き等は湿気・乾燥で反った等の言い訳は通用しない箇所です。
ネックの波打ち等も同様に同じ事が言えて、木材は強度が一定でない不安定な物なので硬い所は反らないし柔らかい所は反る事から反りが不均一に変化し波打ちしていきます。

世の中には状態が悪い物の方が割合として多いです。
そもそも木材が充分に耐えれる強度以上の弦張力を掛けて使用する道具なので無理がある構造をしています。
その証拠に弦を張れば順反りする事が分かるはずで、この時点で木材強度が弦張力に負けています。
その状態からトラスロッドを効かせて反りを真っ直ぐにするのですが、ネック全体に均等にトラスロッドの力が加わって反りを直している訳では無くネックの一部にトラスロッドが一番効く箇所に強い力が掛かって反りが調整されているのであってネック全体として見たらバランスはしていません。トラスロッドはそんな都合が良い物ではないです。
だから単純な順反りだけでなく全体を見れば波打ちしていきます。この個体は分かり易くハイ起きにプラスして順反りなのでネックの真っ直ぐ精度はかなり悪い状態になっています。
木材の強度も年々低下しているので新品でもトラスロッドに余裕が無い・既に限界状態の物が多いのも木材自体に強度が無い事が理由です。
弦を張りっぱなしで良いとするのなら弦張力に耐えれる余裕がかなりある位の強度が木材に必要です。
昔あったモジュラスですら反るのですから、人工物で湿気乾燥にも強く強度も木材より高く全体的に均一な品質で安定したカーボンですら反るのだから答えは80年代で既に出ています。

トーンの配線が間違っているので直し効く様になりました。
全体的に配線が雑で素人作業されていました。

ハイポジションは音詰まりするので実質そこは使えない箇所ですがミドルポジション辺りまでは不都合無く弾くことは可能です。
この様な状態にならない為にも弾かない時は弦を緩めて物理的な負荷を与えない事が重要になります。

This is a setup and rewiring of a Fender Mexican Jazz Bass.

The bass has a large forward bow and is high.

The truss rod is at its limit and the strings are stuck in the high position, but I was able to get the string height to a playable level.

This is what happens when the strings are left taut.
There are many repairmen who say that the neck warp is balanced by the truss rod force and that it is better not to loosen the truss rod.
Even if it is balanced, it is only a pinpoint statement for the center where the truss rod works best, and it is impossible to balance the warp only by the truss rod force, because the wood is not all at the same strength and the tension balance of the strings is different. It is impossible to always balance it.
If it were really safe to leave the tension on, there would be no such a bad condition.
The high end of the neck, in particular, is a place where excuses such as warping due to humidity or dryness are not acceptable.
The same thing can be said for the waviness of the neck. Since wood is unstable and its strength is not constant, the hard parts do not warp and the soft parts warp, resulting in uneven warping and waviness.

There are more items in poor condition in the world as a percentage of the total.
The structure of the instrument is unreasonable because it is used by applying more string tension than the wood is strong enough to withstand.
The proof of this is that when the strings are stretched, you can see that the wood warps in the forward direction, and at this point, the strength of the wood has been defeated by the tension of the strings.
However, the truss rod force is not applied evenly to the entire neck to straighten the warp, but rather a part of the neck where the truss rod is most effective is subjected to strong force to adjust the warp. The truss rod is not balanced when viewed as a whole neck. The truss rod is not such a convenient thing.
Therefore, if you look at the whole neck, you will see not only a simple forward warp, but also a ripple. This particular neck is not straight enough because of the high upswing and the forward warp.
The strength of the wood is also decreasing year by year, so there is no room in the truss rod even if it is new, and the wood itself is not strong enough.
If you want to leave the strings on, the wood needs to be strong enough to withstand the tension of the strings.
The answer was already found in the 80’s, because even the modulus that used to be made in the past warped, and even carbon, a man-made material that is resistant to moisture and drying, has higher strength than wood, and is of uniform and stable quality throughout, also warped.

The wiring of the tones is wrong, so it can be fixed.
Overall, the wiring was messy and was done by an amateur.

The high position is virtually unusable because it clogs up the sound, but it is possible to play up to the middle position without any inconvenience.
To avoid this situation, it is important to loosen the strings when not playing to avoid physical stress.
