ムーン製テレキャスターのジャック交換です。

音が使用してて途切れる事があるとの事で各所の電装パーツをチェックした所、ジャックがダメそうです。

ジャックが原因の様子でしたので新品に交換しました。

電装パーツは基本的に使用が長い場合は全交換がお勧めです。

電装パーツは消耗品ですので、トラブルが起きない様にコントロールをよく操作する様子であれば数年に1度は交換したい所です。

厄介なのは「音が出る時と出ない時がある」で、チェック時に問題無い場合でも持ち帰った後で音が出なくなったりする事もあります。

電装パーツは消耗すると不安要素となってきますので、大事なライブやレコーディングがあるギターは交換して使用していきたい所です。

Replacing the jack on a Moon Telecaster.

The customer reported intermittent sound dropouts during use. After checking all electrical components, the jack appeared to be the culprit.

Since the jack seemed to be the cause, we replaced it with a new one.

For electrical components, we generally recommend replacing them entirely if they’ve been in use for a long time.

Electrical components are consumables, so if you frequently use the controls, it’s best to replace them every few years to prevent issues.

The tricky part is when the sound comes and goes. Even if everything checks out during inspection, the sound might stop working after the customer takes it home.

Worn electrical components become a source of uncertainty, so for guitars used in important gigs or recordings, it’s wise to replace them before use.

ムーン製テレキャスターのセットアップです。

一時期はかなり評価が高く、上手い人が使っている事が多かったムーン製ですが近年は見る機会も少なくなってきました。

調整する事で弾き易く仕上げる事ができました。

音が良く、フロントはもっさり感があるヴィンテージタイプなサウンドですが音抜けと音量がありフェンダー系と比べ非常に扱い易く音も良いです。
リアとのボリュームバランスも良い為、こうした国産モデファイメーカーの方が使用上で良い物が多いです。

This is a Moon Telecaster setup.

Moon guitars were highly regarded for a time and were often used by skilled players, but in recent years they have become less common.

With some adjustments, I was able to make it easier to play.

The sound is excellent, with a vintage-style tone from the front pickup that has a rich, full-bodied quality, yet it also has good projection and volume, making it much easier to handle and sounding better than Fender-style guitars.
The volume balance between the front and rear pickups is also good, so these domestically modified models tend to be better in terms of usability.

フェンダーメキシコ製テレキャスターのフレットすり合わせです。

消耗による音詰まり箇所がある状態です。

フレットすり合わせのタイミングは基本的にフレット上面にへこみが出てきたタイミングで行った方が良いです。

音が悪くなる事は当然ながら音程感が悪くなるので、楽器として使用するのはあまり良い事ではありません。

フレットをすり合わせ問題が無い状態に修正しました。

This is a Fender Mexican Telecaster fret grinder.

It is in a condition where there are sound clogging spots due to wear.

Basically, it is better to perform fret fret fretting when dents appear on the top surface of the frets.

The sound will naturally deteriorate and the sense of pitch will deteriorate, so it is not a good idea to use it as a musical instrument.

We have corrected the problem by rubbing the frets together.

スクワイヤー製テレキャスターのナット溝切り調整・フレットすり合わせ・セレクター交換・ジャック交換です。

トラスロッド限界＋順反りしている状態でかなり弾き難い状態です。
弦を張りっぱなしにしていればどの様なギターもこの様な状態になります。

トラスロッドが効く範囲は「有限」ですので、トラスロッドが使用できない限界状態から順反りしてしまうと調整で直せなくなります。
よくある素人の勘違いとして「トラスロッドを交換すれば良い」等と今でも言う人が居るのですが知識を改めて下さい。
トラスロッド本体が悪いのではなくネック（木材）が変形して悪い状態になっているので、仮にトラスロッドを簡単に交換できたとしても状態は良くなりません。

ネックが柔らかくチューニングすると大きく順反りする様子です。
近年は木材が柔らかいので寿命が短いです。
簡単に順反りし易い強度なので基本は長持ちしません。
新品でも近年は最初からトラスロッドに余裕が少ない状態で販売されていたり最初から限界だったりする事も多くなってきてます。

フレット各所の消耗を削る他にもローポジション・ハイポジションを多めに削りフレットのラインをストレートにしつつトラスロッドの余り量を回復させる削り方で弾き易い状態に仕上げる事ができました。
付いてるフレットが大きい事もあり対処できました。

基本的にはこの様な状態にならない様に日々のケアが大事になってきます。
基本的な保管方法、弦を緩めて保管するは必ず守りましょう。

電装系の不具合もパーツ交換で問題無い状態に直しました。
セレクターが特殊な配線でハムバッカーPUの音を拾う箇所を変更できる配線になっています。

This is a Squier Telecaster with nut groove cut adjustment, fret adjustment, selector replacement, and jack replacement.

The truss rod is at its limit and the fretboard is warped in the forward direction, making it very difficult to play.
Any guitar can be in this condition if the strings are left taut.

The range in which the truss rod is effective is “finite,” so if the guitar is warped from the limit where the truss rod cannot be used, it cannot be fixed by adjustment.
Some amateurs still say “just replace the truss rod” as a common misconception, but please correct their knowledge.
The truss rod itself is not bad, but the neck (wood) is deformed and in bad condition, so even if the truss rod could be replaced easily, the condition would not improve.

The neck is soft and when it is tuned, the neck bends forward greatly.
In recent years, the wood is softer and has a shorter life span.
The strength of the wood is such that it easily warps forward, so it basically won’t last long.
Even new guitars are often sold with little room in the truss rod from the start, or are at the limit from the beginning.

In addition to shaving off the wear and tear from the frets, we were able to shave off more frets in the low and high positions to straighten the fret line and restore the truss rod margin, making it easier to play.
We were able to deal with the fact that the frets on the fretboard are large.

Basically, daily care is important to avoid this kind of condition.
Basic storage and keeping the strings loose should always be observed.

The electrical problems were also fixed by replacing parts.
The selector is wired in a special way to change where the humbucker PU picks up the sound.
