    オービル製レスポールの配線直し・セットアップです。

    電装パーツの状態が全て悪い状態でガリも多く、電装全て交換する事となりました。

    またPUを低価格なFLEOR（5500円のフロント・リアPUセット）に交換しました。

    トラスロッドの効きが非常に悪く、回しても殆ど効かない状態です。

    トラスロッドの余り量が多くても実際に回して効きを確認しないと痛い目を見る事となります。
    確かに余り量は多いのですが、効きが悪いので実質ロッドが限界近い状態と変わらなかったです。

    調整でトラスロッド限界状態となりました。

    フロントはギブソン系の太過ぎるブーミーな嫌味を無くした様なバランスが良い太さのサウンドです。
    コード弾きも綺麗にまとまるので扱い易いフロントになります。

    リアは柔らかく、ギラギラしないので使い易いです。2個セットで5500円ならまず凄く良いPUです。

    Wiring repair and setup for an Ovation Les Paul.

    All electrical components were in poor condition with significant crackling, necessitating a complete electrical overhaul.

    Additionally, the pickups were replaced with an affordable FLEOR set (front and rear pickups for ¥5,500).

    The truss rod adjustment was extremely ineffective; turning it made almost no difference.

    Even if there’s plenty of truss rod stock left, failing to actually turn it and check its effectiveness can lead to trouble.
    While there was indeed plenty of stock left, the poor adjustment meant it was practically as if the rod was already near its limit.

    Adjustment brought the truss rod to its limit.

    The front pickup has a well-balanced, full-bodied sound that eliminates the overly thick, boomy unpleasantness typical of Gibson-style pickups.
    It also handles chord playing cleanly and cohesively, making it an easy-to-use front pickup.

    The rear pickup is soft and doesn’t sound harsh, making it very usable. For ¥5,500 for a pair, these are absolutely fantastic pickups.

    音が出ない状態です。

    内部をチェックしてみるとトグルスイッチで断線し音が出ない状態になっており、またジャックが消耗で音切れする状態なので新品に交換しました。

    お客様の要望でリアコントロールのトーンをカットし、リアの音抜けが良い状態に改造しました。

    電装パーツは使用しているとナットが緩んでパーツ本体が回転し、内部の配線が断線したりとトラブルに繋がりますので定期的にパーツを付け直す必要が出てきます。

    Repair and setup for an unbranded Les Paul.

    The guitar was not producing sound.

    Upon internal inspection, a broken wire at the toggle switch was causing the lack of sound. Additionally, the jack was worn out and causing sound dropouts, so it was replaced with a new one.

    Per the customer’s request, the rear tone control was cut to improve the rear pickup’s sound projection.

    Electrical components can develop issues over time, such as nuts loosening and parts rotating, leading to internal wiring breaks. This necessitates periodically reattaching the components.

  • ギブソン製レスポールのフレットすり合わせ・ペグ交換です。

    ぶつけてペグが壊れている＋長年の消耗により、ペグを止めているビス山もナメってるので埋めて空け直しするついでに新しいペグに交換しました。

    ペグも消耗品ですので、ガタが出てきたタイミングで交換がベストです。

    フレット消耗が凄くすり合わせを行い、良い状態に修正しました。

    音抜けが良く分離が良く非常に良い個体でした。

    Gibson Les Paul fret leveling and tuning peg replacement.

    The pegs were damaged from impact + years of wear had stripped the screw threads holding them in place, so I filled and re-drilled the holes and replaced them with new pegs while I was at it.

    Pegs are consumables, so replacing them when they start feeling loose is best.

    The frets showed significant wear, so I performed a full fret leveling to restore it to excellent condition.

    It was a superb instrument with great projection and clear separation.

  • ギブソン製レスポールのブリッジサドル溝切り調整・セットアップです。

    ブリッジ側で弦が切れ易いとの事で持ち込まれました。

    過去にYoutube動画でも出してますが38万円もする新品レスポールの1弦が「弾いて数時間で弦が切れる」として持ち込まれた事もあります。
    結果的に元のパーツ品質や溝切り状態が悪いと弦が切れ易い状態のまま使用している事になるので、心配なら新品でも溝切りしていた方が良いです。
    切れ易いまま使っていると無駄に弦を消費する事となります。

    消耗で溝のバリが多くなっており、その辺りを削り落として滑らかに仕上げました。

    This is an adjustment and setup of the bridge saddle groove on a Gibson Les Paul.

    The customer brought it in because the strings were breaking easily on the bridge side.

    As I mentioned in a YouTube video in the past, I once had a customer bring in a brand new Les Paul that cost 380,000 yen because the first string would break after only a few hours of playing.
    Ultimately, if the original parts quality or groove cutting condition is poor, the strings will remain prone to breaking, so if you’re concerned, it’s better to have the grooves cut even on a new guitar.
    Using the guitar with strings that break easily will result in unnecessary string consumption.

    The grooves had become rough due to wear, so we removed the burrs and smoothed them out.

    エドワーズ製レスポールの配線直し・セットアップです。

    PUをベアナックル製Painkillerに交換されております。

    音がバリバリとしてるのでクリーンは難しそうで、ディマジオの何かしらのモデルに音が似ている気がします。

    歪ませると音が綺麗に抜けてくるので歪み用のPUという印象でした。

    お客様の要望でベアナックル製ポット550ｋΩに交換しました。
    こちらは通常の500ｋΩポットが50ｋΩ程度大きな数値になっていますが、正直ノーマルのＣＴＳより良さは感じません。
    大きな音で鳴らすと高域が伸びるのかもしれませんが、普段の音量では正直お金を出して交換するレベルの差は感じませんでした。

    ポットのΩ数が大きくなると高域が強くなる為、例えばジャガーやジャズマスターは1MΩ（1000ｋΩ）をストラト等の250ｋΩに交換するだけでも音がかなり落ち着きます。
    こうした音色のカスタムにアレンジする事はお勧めです。

    This is a rewiring and setup of an Edwards Les Paul.

    The PU has been replaced with a Bare Knuckle Painkiller.

    The sound is very crisp, so it is difficult to play clean, and it sounds like some kind of DiMaggio model.

    When distorted, the sound comes out beautifully, so I had the impression that it was a PU for distortion.

    At the customer’s request, we replaced the pot with a bare-knuckle 550k ohm pot.
    This pot is about 50k ohms larger than the normal 500k ohm pot, but to be honest, I don’t feel it is better than the normal CTS.
    The high frequency range may be extended when played loudly, but I honestly did not feel the difference at the level of paying money to replace the pot at normal volume.

    The larger the ohm number of the pot, the stronger the high frequency range becomes, so for example, just replacing 1M ohm (1000k ohm) for Jaguar and Jazzmaster with 250k ohm for Strat and so on, the sound will be much calmer.
    Arranging for such tone customization is recommended.

    お客様の方で全体の配線をミスしており修正する形です。

    ディマジオのDP260・DP261が付いています。

    音が明るくはっきりしたサウンドで磁力が落ちた様な古い年代製の音がする雰囲気を再現しています。
    ディマジオは昔から優秀で低価格なPUを販売していて世界で一番売れているPUメーカーだそうですが日本では何故かダンカンの方が主流な様に見れます。

    配線はお客様の要望でセンターでフェイズアウトサウンドになる様に配線しております。

    フェイズアウトサウンドはムスタング等のスイッチで出す事ができますが余程の特殊なサウンドを出したい限りは使用しない音と思いますのが要望があれば配線可能です。

    This is a rewiring of a Greco Les Paul.

    The customer made a mistake in the overall wiring and we are correcting it.

    It has a DiMaggio DP260 and DP261.

    The sound is bright and clear and has the feel of an older model with a less magnetized sound.
    DiMaggio has always sold excellent and low-priced PUs and is said to be the best-selling PU manufacturer in the world, but for some reason Duncan seems to be more mainstream in Japan.

    The wiring was done by customer’s request so that the phase out sound is produced at the center.

    The phase out sound can be produced with a switch on a mustang, but it is not used unless you want to produce a very special sound, but it can be wired if requested.

  • ギブソン製レスポールのトグルスイッチ交換・セットアップです。

    トグル切り替えで音が出なくなる時があるとの事です。

    電装系パーツは消耗品ですので、特にギターでは多用するセレクターは壊れ易いです。
    ジャックは定番に一番壊れるパーツですが、ギターの多くはジャック→セレクターの順で大体は壊れます。
    ストラト等はボリューム操作を多用するとボリュームポットが次に壊れ易くなります。

    トグルスイッチを交換しセットアップする事で問題無い状態に復元しました。

    This is a toggle switch replacement and setup for a Gibson Les Paul.

    The guitar sometimes loses sound when toggling the toggle switch.

    Electrical parts are consumables, so the selector, which is used a lot on guitars, is especially prone to breakage.
    The jack is the most common part to break, but most guitars break in this order: jack, selector, and so on.
    The volume pot on a strat or other guitar is the next most likely to break due to heavy use of the volume control.

    By replacing the toggle switch and setting up the guitar, we have restored it to a problem-free state.

    中古品の購入との事ですが弦高が高い状態で弾き難いです。

    ナットが素人作業で触られている様子で溝幅が妙に広く、溝も接着剤で埋められている様子。
    その理由もあってナット高が高い状態です。

    溝切りを行い調整する事で弾き易くなりましたが素人が手を加えているとこの状態で完璧とも言い難く、心配であればナット自体を交換した方が良いです。
    素人が作業した物は基本的に信用ができませんので、手が加わった物は基本的に新品交換する事をお勧めします。

    This is a Gibson Les Paul nut height adjustment and setup.

    The guitar was purchased used, but it is hard to play because of the high string height.

    The nut seems to have been touched up by an amateur, and the groove width is strangely wide, and the groove seems to have been filled with glue.
    This is one of the reasons why the nut height is so high.

    However, it is difficult to say that the nut is perfect if it has been touched by an amateur.
    If you are worried about it, it is better to replace the nut itself.

  • ギブソン製レスポールのフレットすり合わせ・ナット交換です。

    ネックにヒビが入っておりますがチューニングしても開かず問題無い程度で、これを直すには中途半端な状態ですのでこのまま使用する事となりました。

    ナットが消耗で音が詰まり気味・音が詰まるフレット箇所がある状態です。

    ナット交換・フレットすり合わせを行う事で問題無い状態に仕上げる事ができました。

    かなり音が良い個体です。90年代前半は良い個体が多いので下手なヴィンテージで音も状態も良くない物を買うより90年代が狙い目です。

    This is a Gibson Les Paul with fret adjustment and nut replacement.

    There is a crack in the neck, but it does not open when tuned and is not a problem.

    The nut is worn out, and there are fretted areas where the sound is stuck or clogged up.

    By replacing the nut and adjusting the frets, we were able to finish it up without any problems.

    There are many good vintage guitars in the early 90’s, so it is better to buy a vintage guitar in the 90’s than a bad vintage one that is not in good sound and condition.

    ギブソン製レスポールのネック折れリペアです。

    どうしても角度付きネックは折れ易いので気を付けて使用する他、折れてしまったら割れ口が変形する前に直す事が重要です。
    割れ方さえ問題無ければ基本は接着で直す事が可能です。

    接着後は問題無く弾ける状態に修正ができました。

    音は出るがトグルスイッチの動きがおかしいので、不具合が出てくる様ならトグルスイッチは交換が必要です。

    This is a neck break repair for a Gibson Les Paul.

    Angled necks are prone to breakage, so it is important to use them with care and, if they break, to repair them before the cracks become deformed.
    As long as the breakage is OK, it can basically be repaired by gluing.

    After gluing, the neck can be played without any problem.

    The toggle switch is not working properly, so if the problem persists, the toggle switch will need to be replaced.
