ギブソン製レスポールスペシャルの配線直し・セットアップです。

リアボリュームポットにガリで音が出なくなる状態と、ジャックが消耗で抜け易い状態です。

大きく順反りで弦高が非常に高い状態でまともに使用するのは難しいでしょう。

ポットとジャックを交換しセットアップする事で弾き易く問題無い状態に仕上げる事ができました。

ジャック等は消耗が一番大きいパーツですので、抜けてくる位にスカスカになってきましたら流石に使用限界を超えています。
電装パーツは基本ガリが出てきたら交換するパーツですので、ガリが出たタイミングで交換しましょう。

Repair and setup for a Gibson Les Paul Special.

The rear volume pot had a crackling noise that cut out sound, and the jack was worn out and loose.

With significant bowing and extremely high string action, it was difficult to play properly.

By replacing the pots and jack and performing a setup, we restored it to a playable condition with no issues.

Jacks are among the most wear-prone parts. If they become loose enough to pop out, they’ve clearly exceeded their usable limit.
Electrical components are generally replaced when they start crackling, so replace them when you hear that crackling sound.

ギブソン製レスポールスペシャルのセットアップです。

最近の新品です。

フェンダー・ギブソンのあるあるですが楽器屋で並んでいる状態はかなり弦高が高めで弾き難い事が多いです。
基本は正しく調整されていない物と思って触って判断しましょう。
またこの弾き難い状態では状態が悪い箇所が分かり難くなるので要注意です。

基本的に買う前に細かく状態を確認させる・正しく調整させる等を行わせた方が良いです。
もしくは買った後にリペアショップ等で調整させてもらい状態を確認させる手間が必須になります。
後から状態が悪い事に気が付いても保証期間が過ぎて購入者の有償対応になる事も多いです。

こちらのモデルは正しく調整してみると音も良く弾き易く、また意外なのがオクターブの精度が良かったです。
このブリッジが付いていると各弦でオクターブ調整ができないので、かなり狂いが大きいモデルも多いので購入時はこの辺りもよく確認したい所です。

Gibson Les Paul Special setup.

It is brand new and recent.

As is often the case with Fender Gibsons, the string height is often quite high and difficult to play.
Basically, it is not adjusted properly, so you should judge it by touch.
Also, be careful because it is difficult to tell what is wrong with the instrument when it is in this difficult-to-play condition.

Basically, it is better to have the strings checked in detail and adjusted correctly before buying.
Or, it is essential to have them adjusted at a repair store after you buy them to check their condition.
Even if you notice that the condition is bad later, the warranty period has expired and the buyer will often have to pay for the repair.

This model sounded good and was easy to play when adjusted correctly, and surprisingly, the octave accuracy was good.
The bridge does not allow octave adjustment for each string, so there are many models that have a large amount of deviation, so I would like to check this area carefully when purchasing.

Gibson Les Paul Special ネック折れリペア

ギブソン製レスポールスペシャルのネック折れリペアです。

接着のみで修理の内容です。

特に問題無く接着のみで直せましたが大きく順反りしており、調整でトラスロッド限界になりました。

また不具合としてトラスロッドの仕込みが悪い様子で効きが悪い・ロッドが抜けてきている様子で弾いてるとネックが順反りしてくる事が分かります。

この様にナットからトラスロッドのネジ山が多く突き出ている個体は要注意です。

ギブソンは特に接着精度の悪さが目立つ為、内部の大事なトラスロッドの仕込みも上手くできず効きが悪い個体や内部のT字の引っ掛かりが悪く抜けてくる物も多いです。
他にトラブル例として指板が剥がれてくる・ネックがボディから取れる等も起きてきます。

ネット情報の勘違いでよくある「トラスロッドを一気に回したら壊れる」等の間違った知識情報はギブソン等から来ていると思われます。

回して壊れる事は有り得ません。壊れる様にできているメーカーの責任です。
ちゃんとできてたら壊れる事はまず有り得ません。
他に壊れる原因としてトラスロッドが限界状態で回らないのに無理に回して壊すパターン位です。

Repair of a broken neck on a Gibson Les Paul Special.

The repair was done by gluing only.

There was no problem and it could be repaired only by gluing, but the neck was warped in order and the truss rod was at the limit after adjustment.

The truss rod was not properly installed and the rod was coming out of the neck.

Be careful if you see many truss rod threads protruding from the nut as shown here.

Because of the poor gluing accuracy of Gibson guitars, the important internal truss rod installation may not work properly, and many guitars may come loose due to poor hooking of the internal T-joints.
Other problems include the fingerboard peeling off and the neck coming off the body.

The common misconception on the Internet that turning the truss rod all at once will break it seems to have come from Gibson and other manufacturers.

It is impossible for a truss rod to break by turning it at once. It is the manufacturer’s responsibility that the truss rod is made in such a way that it breaks.
If the truss rod is properly made, it will never break.
The only other cause of breakage is when the truss rod is at its limit and cannot be turned, but is forced to be turned and broken.

Gibson 1960 Les Paul Special Double Cut Reissue ナット交換

ギブソン製レスポールスペシャルのナット交換です。

ナットが消耗で音詰まりしている状態です。

結構中古品で多いのがナットの消耗を順反りさせて誤魔化している個体が多いです。
こうした個体はトラスロッドを回してネックの反り調整を行い、ネックを真っ直ぐにすると開放弦が詰まってきます。

ナットを交換し適切な調整を行う事で不具合無く弾き易い状態に仕上げる事ができました。

This is a nut replacement for a Gibson Les Paul Special.

The nut is worn out and clogged with sound.

Many used Gibson Les Paul Specials have a worn out nut that has been warped in order to cover up the wear and tear.
If you adjust the neck warp by turning the truss rod and straighten the neck, the open strings will jam.

By replacing the nut and making the appropriate adjustments, we were able to make the guitar easy to play without any problems.
