    ギブソン製フライングVのEMG換装です。

    フロントに85・リアに81になります。

    基本的にEMGに交換する場合は電装パーツはセレクター以外は全交換となります。
    中古品でEMGを購入する際、PU本体のみを入手してもポットやジャックがアクティブ数値用の物が必要になります。
    中古で買うよりも場合によっては新品で購入した方が安いかもしれません（新品はポットやジャックが付属）。

    もう一つの注意点として電池を使用しますので、この辺りが入る想定をしてEMGを購入しないといけません。

    ザグリに入れて仕上げる場合でも電池交換の手間暇も考え、場合によっては電池ボックスザグリを増設する必要があります。
    配線が通っている場所に毎回電池を交換していると、交換時に配線を断線させたりするリスクも出てきます。

    このギターの場合は中のザグリが狭く電池が入らないので1Vo1To仕様に仕様変更、ピックガード内に入れる事はできましたが電池交換は大変かもしれないです。

    EMG pickup replacement for a Gibson Flying V.

    The front pickup will be an 85, and the rear will be an 81.

    When replacing pickups with EMGs, all electrical components except the selector switch typically need to be replaced.
    When purchasing used EMGs, even if you only acquire the pickup bodies, you’ll still need pots and jacks rated for active values.
    In some cases, buying new might be cheaper than buying used (new units include pots and jacks).

    Another important point is that EMGs use batteries, so you must account for this when purchasing them.

    Even if you finish it with a recess, consider the hassle of battery replacement. You might need to add a battery compartment recess.
    Replacing the battery every time in the wiring area risks damaging the wiring during the process.

    For this guitar, the internal recess is too narrow for the battery, so we changed the spec to 1Vo1To. We managed to fit it inside the pickguard, but battery replacement might be difficult.

  • PRS SE製カスタム24の配線直し・ナット溝切り調整・セットアップです。

    ナットが交換されている？のかナット溝の高さが非常に高い状態で弾き難いです。
    タスクナットを勘違いして交換している人が多いのですが「〇〇用サイズ」として販売されているタスクナットが交換するだけでジャストサイズになると思っていたら大間違いです。
    個体により状態が違うので、交換後は溝切り調整をしないとダメです。

    パーツ全て持ち込みにて古いEMGへ交換のついでに電装系を全て新品に交換しました。
    EMGに交換する際はアクティブの数値になるのでセレクター以外は全交換となります。

    フロントの85は太さがありフルアコやセミアコみたいな太さと福与かさが音にあり、とてもアクティブと思えない様な自然なサウンドです。
    昔のEMGは音が良かったのですが、現行品とは一味違うサウンドです。

    リアの81は歪みが綺麗に整います。現行品と同じくクリーンではなく歪み用といったサウンドなのは変わりませんが低音も出るので硬過ぎな印象は無いです。

    ピッキングの強弱も出るので現行品と全然違う音なのでEMGに思っているイメージが覆ると思います。
    現行品EMGは音が冷たく硬い傾向なのは恐らくコネクタ仕様も関係しており、Gibson等にも電装系がコネクタ付けのモデルがありますがパーツ交換で通常のハンダ付け仕様に直すだけでも音が大きく変化します。

    現行品EMGでもPU本体以外をハンダ付け仕様にするだけでも近いサウンドにはできるかもしれません。

    This is a PRS SE Custom 24 rewired, nut groove cut adjustment and setup.

    Has the nut been replaced? The height of the nut groove is very high and it is difficult to play.
    Many people have mistakenly replaced the task nut, but you are mistaken if you think that the task nut sold as “size for 00” will be the right size just by replacing it.
    Since the condition differs from one individual to another, it is necessary to adjust the groove cut after the replacement.

    We brought in all the parts and replaced all the electrical components with new ones while replacing the old EMGs.
    When replacing the EMGs, all parts were replaced except the selector, which was replaced with a new one, since it is an active value.

    The front 85 has a fatness and a blessing like a full acoustic or semi-acoustic, and the sound is so natural that it is hard to believe it is active.
    The old EMGs had a good sound, but it is a different sound from the current products.

    The 81 in the rear is nicely distorted. Like the current product, it still sounds like it is for distortion, not clean, but it also has a low end, so there is no impression of being too hard.

    The sound is totally different from the current model, so I think it will change the image you have of EMGs.
    The current EMGs tend to sound cold and hard, which is probably related to the connector specifications, and Gibson and others have models with connector-mounted electrical systems, but the sound can be greatly changed by simply replacing the parts with normal soldering specifications.

    Even with the current EMGs, it may be possible to achieve a similar sound by simply soldering the parts other than the PU itself.

    PRS SE製カスタム24のPU交換です。

    リア81を85に交換です。ハンダ付けタイプの古いモデルになります。

    音のミドル感が柔らかくなり、フロントの85とバランスが良くなって扱い易くなりました。
    PUの組み合わせは好みですが81はミドルが出て歪み用な音ですので、バランスが良いのは85になります。

    歪ませるとやや曇った古いサウンドが出るので、イメージとしてはヴィンテージギターの様なサウンドでアクティブPUという感じもしません。
    昔のEMGは明らか音が良いので、現行品と違う点があるかもしれません。

    This is a PU replacement for a Custom 24 made by PRS SE.

    Rear 81 is replaced with 85. It is an old soldering type model.

    The middle of the sound has been softened and the balance with the front 85 has been improved, making it easier to handle.
    The 81 has a middle sound and is for distortion, so the 85 has a better balance.

    When distorted, it has a slightly cloudy old sound, so it sounds like a vintage guitar in my image, and it does not feel like an active PU.
    The old EMGs obviously sound better, so there may be some differences from the current product.
