ギブソン製ES-335のセットアップです。

かなり大きく順反りで弦高が高く音も詰まる状態です。

またフレット減りが全体的に大きい状態です。

ネック反りを直し弾き易く調整しました。

状態が悪くなる位まで弾き込んであるので音が良いモデルです。

次回はフレットすり合わせをお勧めします。

Setup for a Gibson ES-335.

It had significant forward bowing, high string action, and a muffled sound.

Additionally, the frets showed substantial overall wear.

We corrected the neck bow and adjusted it for easier playability.

This is a model with great tone, having been played extensively until it reached this condition.

We recommend fret leveling for the next service.

ギブソン製ES-335の配線直し・セットアップです。

素人作業で配線されている様子です。
こうした箱物は気軽に配線を触る事ができないので、素人作業は非常に困る仕様となります。

フロントだけ音が出る・そのフロントコントロールが何故かリア側にコントロールが配線されている、リアは音出ない状態です。

パーツを新品に全交換し配線を全てやり直して仕上げました。

箱物は基本的に簡単にパーツ交換ができないので、後からトラブルが起こらない様に全て新品交換が基本です。
作業が困難な事から料金も割高になるので、1回で長持ちする様に済ませる様に全交換していた方が良いです。

音が柔らかく綺麗な響きのする個体でした。
配線は音に直結する部分ですので、素人作業はあくまで「音が出るレベル」であり「音が良く鳴るレベル」にはなりませんので要注意です。

Wiring repair and setup for a Gibson ES-335.

It appears the wiring was done by an amateur.
With solid-body guitars, you can’t easily access the wiring, so amateur work like this creates major problems.

Only the front pickup produces sound. Strangely, the front pickup controls are wired to the rear pickup controls, leaving the rear pickup silent.

All parts were replaced with new ones, and the entire wiring was redone.

With solid-body guitars, part replacement isn’t straightforward, so replacing everything with new parts is standard practice to prevent future issues.
Because the work is difficult, the cost is higher, so it’s better to replace everything at once to ensure it lasts.

This was an instrument with a soft, beautiful resonance.
Wiring directly affects the sound, so amateur work only achieves a “level where sound comes out” and not a “level where it sounds good” – be very careful.

ギブソンカスタムショップ製ES-335のセットアップです。

比較的に状態が良い良質個体で音も良い個体です。

全体的に電装のガリは出ているが使えるレベルではあります。
箱物は電装パーツに汚れが入り易いので消耗とは別にガリが出易いので中古品は基本的に交換が推奨です。

調整する事で弾き易い状態に仕上げる事ができました。

This is a Gibson Custom Shop ES-335 setup.

This is a good quality unit in relatively good condition and sound.

The overall condition is usable, although there is some electrical rattling.
The boxed model is easy to get dirt in the electrical parts, so it is easy to get gurgling apart from wear and tear.

We were able to make it easy to play by adjusting it.

ギブソン製ES-335のナット溝切り調整・セットアップです。

新品なのにナット高が高く弾き難い状態です。

有名で高額なモデルでも細かい手作業箇所はバラつきが大きいので、ちゃんと使いたい場合は新品でもリペアが必須です。

一応ギブソンは製品全てプレックが掛かっているそうですが、中には音が詰まる物もあるのでどこまで本当か未知数です。

ナット溝切り調整を行い弾き易い状態に仕上げる事ができました。

This is a nut groove cut adjustment and setup for a Gibson ES-335.

Even though it is new, the nut height is high and difficult to play.

Even famous and expensive models have a lot of variations in the small hand-worked parts, so if you want to use it properly, repairing is a must even if it is new.

I heard that all Gibson products are pre-checked, but some of them are sound clogged, so it is unknown to what extent this is true.

We were able to adjust the nut groove and make it easy to play.

ギブソン製ES-335のセットアップです。

2018年、工場最後のモデルとの事です。

音が良く、リアは柔らかく扱いやすいサウンドです。
明らかに良い個体ですね。たまたまなのか工場最終モデルは本当に良い物なのか多くの個体を触らないと不明ですがたまにこうした「頑張った時期」の様な物がメーカーにはあったりします。

リアボリュームポットのガリを接点復活剤で対処しました。

箱物はコントロールパーツに汚れが入り易い為、基本的に弾かない時はケースに閉まっておかないとガリが出易くなりますので注意が必要です。

This is a Gibson ES-335 setup.

It is the last model from the factory in 2018.

The sound is good, the rear is soft and manageable.
It is obviously a good unit. I’m not sure if it’s just a coincidence or if the last model from the factory is really good, but sometimes manufacturers have a “good time” like this.

The rear volume pot has been cleaned up with a contact resurrection agent.

The boxed model is easy for dirt to get into the control parts, so basically, you need to keep it closed in the case when you don’t play it, otherwise it will be easy for the buzzing to occur.
