ヴァンザンドのトゥルービンテージ×2、ロックの仕様です。

ややもっさりだが音抜けが良くバランスが良い、リアは通常のストラトの音を程好くパワーを上げた感じで扱い易いです。
ヴァンザンド製PUは価格面でも非常にお勧めです。

Wiring repair and setup for a Fender USA Stratocaster.

All electrical components exhibited crackling noise, occasionally causing loss of sound.

All electrical components have been replaced with new parts.

Two Van Zandt True Vintage pickups, locked configuration.

The sound is slightly thick but has good projection and balance. The bridge pickup feels like a standard Strat tone with a nice boost in power, making it very manageable.
Van Zandt pickups are also highly recommended for their price point.

フェンダーUSA製ストラトキャスターのノイズ問題の相談です。

弦に触れてもノイズが消えない状態です。

お客様にお話を伺うと新パッケージのエリクサー弦に交換して（弦は新品で購入したばかり）から急にノイズが出てきたとの事です。

テスターでチェックしてみると巻き弦が通電せず、巻き弦は弦アースが機能しない状態です。

念の為に内部配線も確認しましたが問題無く、巻き弦の通電が悪いのでエリクサー弦の使用で弦アースが取れない事から弾いててノイズが出る事は間違いない状態です。

エリクサーのベース弦では昔からこうしたトラブルは起こっていたりしたのですが、ギター弦ではあまり聞かなかったので驚きました。

過去のYoutubeでも弦の製造に関わった方との対談でエリクサーはコーティング加工時の後処理で表面を削っているそうですが、この削りが甘いと弦の金属部分が露出せず弦アースが取れない状態になると思います。

上記はあくまでも予想ですが、現に通電しないのはコーティングが厚い状態ですので弦アースが取れない状態での使用は難しいです。

プレーン弦に触れていれば良いのですが、そうした意識を持って弾かないと通電しないエリクサーに当たってしまった際はややこしい事になります。

I’m consulting about noise issues with a Fender USA Stratocaster.

The noise persists even when touching the strings.

According to the customer, the noise suddenly started after replacing the strings with a new package of Elixir strings (the strings were brand new when purchased).

Testing revealed the wound strings are not conducting electricity, meaning the string ground is not functioning.

I also checked the internal wiring as a precaution, but found no issues. Since the wound strings are not conducting properly, it’s clear that the string ground isn’t being established when using Elixir strings, causing the noise when played.

I’ve heard of similar issues with Elixir bass strings for a long time, but I was surprised to hear about this happening with guitar strings.

In a past YouTube interview with someone involved in string manufacturing, they mentioned that Elixir strings undergo surface grinding during post-coating processing. If this grinding is insufficient, the metal part of the string remains unexposed, preventing proper string grounding.

This is just my guess, but since the current isn’t flowing due to the thick coating, using the strings without proper grounding is tricky.

It’d be fine if you were playing plain strings, but if you don’t keep that in mind and end up with non-conductive Elixir strings, things get complicated.

フェンダーUSA製ストラトキャスターのペグ交換・ナット溝切り調整・フレットすり合わせ・配線直しです。

フレットが全体的に大きく消耗、ナット溝が高い弦がある状態で演奏面で不具合が起きています。

配線が素人作業されている状態で、ボリューム・セレクターにガリがあるので交換、ついでにジャックも交換し信号ラインは問題が起きない様に仕上げました。

ペグは注意点として、交換するペグによっては綺麗に付かない場合があります。

交換するペグにてブッシュ径が合わないのでコンバーションブッシュで対応しました。
ペグはナット止めタイプだと10ｍｍ穴が空いている事が多く、ビスのみで止まっているクルーソンタイプは穴が小さいので交換時は要注意です。互換性はありません。
こうした交換を簡単にする為にコンバージョンブッシュというパーツが存在するので、加工せず交換したい場合はこのブッシュが別途必要になります。

しかしペグ穴ピッチが合わなくなりペグの間に隙間がある状態（使用に問題無し）になる事もあるので、見た目は悪くなりますがビスが掛かる程度であれば付く分に問題はありません。
6連クルーソンタイプ等に交換する際は綺麗に付かない事もあるのでコンバージョンブッシュを使って交換できるとしても見た目上で難点が出る可能性はありますのでこの辺りも要注意です。
気になる人は同タイプのペグに交換する（クルーソンタイプ←→シャーラータイプと仕様を変える交換を行わない）事をお勧めします。

お客様の要望で1音下げにセッティングしました。
ネックコンディションも良くロッドの余り量も多い状態です。

こうした事で分かる事として、ダウンチューニング等で弦張力がネックに負荷を与えている期間が少ない程に当然ながら順反りし難くなります。
弦は緩めて保管しないといけない理由が分かると思いますが、ネックは弦張力で順反りしていく物なので使用していない時は負荷を無くす為に緩めて保管していると長持ちします。

Fender USA Stratocaster: Peg replacement, nut slot adjustment, fret leveling, and rewiring.

The frets show significant overall wear, and some strings have high nut slots, causing playability issues.

The wiring was amateurishly done, with crackling noise in the volume and selector switches, so they were replaced. The jack was also replaced to ensure the signal path is problem-free.

Note regarding the tuning pegs: Depending on the replacement pegs used, they may not fit perfectly.
The bushings didn’t match the diameter of the replacement pegs, so conversion bushings were used.
Nut-retaining type pegs often have a 10mm hole, while Kluson type pegs have a smaller hole, so caution is needed during replacement.
Conversion bushings exist to simplify such replacements. If you want to replace them without modification, these bushings are required separately.

However, this may cause the peg hole pitch to mismatch, resulting in gaps between the pegs (though this does not affect functionality). While this looks unsightly, it’s acceptable as long as the screws hold securely.
When replacing with a 6-string Kluson type, for example, a perfect fit might still be difficult. Even if conversion bushings allow the replacement, cosmetic imperfections are possible, so be aware of this.
For those concerned, we recommend replacing with the same type (e.g., Kluson type ←→ Kluson type; avoid changing specifications like Kluson to Schaller).

We set it down one step per customer request.
The neck condition is good, and there is ample rod adjustment remaining.

This illustrates an important point: the less time strings exert tension on the neck (e.g., during down-tuning), the less prone it becomes to warping.
This explains why strings should be stored loosened. Since neck warping occurs under string tension, storing the instrument with strings loosened removes this load, prolonging its lifespan.

元からトラスロッドに余裕が殆ど無い状態です。
USAだから、カスタムショップ製だからと言って状態が良い訳ではありません。
新品でもロッドに余裕が無い物や少ない物も全然ありますので購入時に絶対に確認してから購入したいポイントです。

調整でトラスロッド限界になりましたが、もう少し締めて真っすぐにしたい状態です。

音が良い傾向ですが硬めなサウンドです。

Setup for a Fender USA Stratocaster.

The truss rod had almost no adjustment range from the start.
Just because it’s USA-made or Custom Shop doesn’t mean it’s in good condition.
Even new guitars often have limited truss rod travel, so this is a crucial point to check before purchasing.

Adjustment brought the truss rod to its limit, but it still needs a bit more tightening to straighten properly.

It tends to sound good, but the tone is on the brighter side.

左利きモデルになります。

新品購入したモデルですが特に状態に不具合無しで調整できました。

左利きモデルは数が少なく、選択肢も非常に限られてくるので大変かもしれません。

左利きモデルのボディさえあれば通常の右利きネックを付けて弾く事もできるのですが、中古でも多くは出回らないと思うので左利きの方は購入時に苦労するのでメーカーもこの辺りはもう少し増産しても良いと思います。

This is a setup for a Fender USA Jazzmaster.

It is a left-handed model.

Although it was purchased new, it was in perfect condition and required no adjustments.

Left-handed models are scarce, and the selection is extremely limited, so it can be quite challenging.

If you have a left-handed body, you could theoretically attach a standard right-handed neck and play it. However, even used ones don’t seem to circulate much, so left-handed players often struggle to find one. Manufacturers could really increase production in this area.

電装パーツをPU以外全交換、フレット消耗が凄くすり合わせで修正しました。

またトラスロッドの余裕少ない状態です。

古いモデルは基本的に状態が悪い事が多いので中古で購入する際も注意が必要ですがナットやフレット、電装パーツは交換でいくらでも直す事ができます。

消耗が大きい箇所があっても中古品は当然とも言えるので、どこが簡単に直せる箇所と直せない箇所か把握していればそこまで購入の選択に失敗しないと思います。

フェンダーUSA製70年代ミュージックマスターのセットアップです。

大きく順反りで弦高が高い状態、調整でトラスロッド限界となりました。

ヴィンテージ楽器は基本的に状態が悪いです。
調整で何とか使える物からまともに使用できない物も多くあります。

購入時に正しく楽器状態を見れる人じゃないと購入はお勧めできません。
また販売側も知識が無かったり状態が悪い事を隠して売る事も多いのでヴィンテージ楽器は騙される事も多くなるでしょう。
楽器として使用するなら状態が良い物を選ぶか現行品、ヴィンテージ楽器は資産価値程度で考えて買う物だと思います。

音が太くGibson系な音がする個体で、必要な帯域しか鳴っていない感じがとても良いベースです。

This is a Fender USA 70’s Music Master setup.

Large forward bow and high string height, truss rod limit with adjustment.

Vintage instruments are generally in poor condition.
There are many instruments that can be used with some adjustment, and many that cannot be used properly.

I don’t recommend you to buy it unless you can see the condition of the instrument correctly at the time of purchase.
Also, sellers often hide the fact that the instruments are in bad condition and sell them without knowledge.
If you want to use it as a musical instrument, you should choose one in good condition or buy a current one, and a vintage instrument should be considered as an asset.

This bass has a fat Gibson type sound and only the necessary bandwidth is heard.

フェンダーUSA製ストラトキャスターのセットアップです。

これはご自身で改造された物？元からこの仕様？なのか不明ですが珍しいスプリングの仕様です。

また古いエリッククラプトンモデル？と思っていたらパッシブ仕様のモデルです。

通常のトーンが真ん中にあり、TBXトーンがセンターとリアに効く様に配線されています。
恐らく中身もイジられていそうです。

音は良いが状態悪いです。
元からトラスロッドの余裕が無く大きく順反りしており、ロッドを限界まで回しても少し順反り気味です。
弾けなくはないが全体的に弦高が高くチョーキングで音詰まる所があるのですり合わせ等は行った方が良いかもしれません。

ただトラスロッド限界状態で弦を張ると少し順反り状態なので、直して使い続ける事を考えるとネックはダメそうとも判断できます。
本当はこうした状態にならない様に日々弦を緩めて保管しておかないといけませんが、中古入手ではトラスロッドの余り量が多い物を見つけて買う事が重要です。

This is a Fender USA Stratocaster setup.

Is this something you modified yourself? Or was it originally made this way? It is unknown if this is the original setup or not, but it is a very rare spring setup.

Another old Eric Clapton model? I thought it was an old Eric Clapton model, but it is a passive model.

The normal tone is in the middle, and the TBX tone is wired to the center and rear.
It looks like the inside has probably been messed with as well.

It sounds good but is in poor condition.
The truss rod is bent forward a lot, and even when the rod is turned to the limit, it is still bent forward a little.
It is not unplayable, but the overall string height is high and there are places where the sound gets stuck when chalking, so it may be better to do some adjustments.

However, when the strings are stretched at the limit of the truss rod, the neck is a little warped, so it is possible to judge that the neck is not good enough to continue to use it.
I really need to keep the strings loose daily to avoid this condition, but it is important to find and buy a used one with a large amount of truss rod left over.
