サー製Modernのセレクター交換・ポット交換です。

消耗でガリが出ている状態です。

一日数十時間は弾く位に使用しているとの事で、そうした個体は動作も多くなるのでよく使うパーツは当然ながら消耗が早くなります。

セレクター切り替え時に音が出なくなる、ポットはガリが出ている状態なので新品に交換しました。

使用している以上は消耗は避けられない為、電装パーツは消耗品と割り切って使用しないといけません。

Replacement of selector switch and potentiometers on a Saitama-made Modern.

The unit was exhibiting crackling noise due to wear.

Given that it’s played for dozens of hours daily, such instruments see heavy use, so frequently used parts naturally wear out faster.

We replaced the selector switch, which was causing sound dropouts during switching, and the potentiometers, which were producing crackling noise, with new ones.

Since wear is unavoidable with use, you have to accept that electrical components are consumables.

Suhr製Modernのセットアップです。

フロイドローズから弦が外れ易いとの事で持ち込まれました。
また特定の弦だけ狂い易い（弦が緩む？）そうです。

調整で触ってみると特に不具合を感じず、調整してみるとチューニングが安定してきました。
特に弾いててチェックしても問題は起きませんでした。

正直触ってて何が問題か分からなかったのですが、フロイドローズの様に部品点数が多いと不具合の可能性が考えられる所が多いので中古品は気を付けたいポイントが多いです。

またチューニングが狂い易いとの事ですがロックナットが消耗している？せいでちゃんとロックできていない？のか、ロックナット裏に大きな弦溝が付いています。
フロイドローズも焼き入れ加工等がされ丈夫と思いますが永遠に消耗しない訳ではありません。
ロックナットもナット部は焼き入れされていると思いますがブロック側は焼き入れされていない？（溝跡が付く事から）と思います。

後はそこまで精度が高くない可能性もあるので、弦をナットでロックしてても弦全体にナットが当たっていない可能性もあります。

弦が外れ易い事も古い物は全然出てきます。サドルのブロックも消耗品ですし本体側に弦溝ができてくるとロックできなくなりますので弦が抜け易くなります。

This is a Suhr Modern setup.

It was brought to us because the strings are easily disconnected from the Floyd Rose.
Also, certain strings are prone to go out of alignment (loose strings?). It is said that only certain strings are prone to go wrong (loose strings?).

When I touched it for adjustment, I didn’t feel any particular problem, and the tuning became stable after I adjusted it.
Especially when I checked it while playing, no problem occurred.

To be honest, I didn’t know what the problem was when I touched it, but there are many points to be careful about used products because there are many possible defects when there are many parts like a Floyd Rose.

Also, you say that the tuning is easily out of tune, but is the lock nut worn out? Is it because the locknut is worn out or because it is not locked properly? There is a large string groove on the back of the lock nut.
Floyd Rose is also hardened and durable, but it does not mean that it will never wear out.
I think the nut part of the lock nut is hardened, but not the block side? （I think so (from the fact that the groove marks appear).

The nut may not be that precise, so even if the strings are locked with the nut, the nut may not be hitting the strings as a whole.

It is also possible that the strings are easily dislodged, which is totally possible with older ones. The saddle block is also a wear item, and when the string groove is formed on the body side, it will not be able to lock the strings, so the strings can easily come off.

サー製Modernのポット交換・ジャック交換・ブリッジサドル修正です。

サドルで弦が切れ易いとの事ですがサドル上面が傷だらけで凄い消耗です。
基本は交換するのですが、こちらに全サイズのサドルを用意している訳ではありませんので使用するスケジュールが多いアーティストの場合は削って対処しています。
当然ながら加工する方が割高ですので交換がお勧めです。

ポット・ジャックにガリがある状態を新品交換で直しました。

PUカバーが消耗し過ぎで1弦が引っ掛かるとの事。新しいカバーに交換で対処しました。こちらも凄い消耗です。

音が良く弾き易いモデルです。

弾き込まれた個体は音が良いので、ボロボロな物程に音が良い物が多いのは確かです。
V70の音が良いのでサーで付いている物は珍しい？かは不明ですがお勧めPUです。

Pot replacement, jack replacement, and bridge saddle modification on a Sir-made Modern.

The saddle is very worn and scratched on the top surface of the saddle.
Basically, we replace the saddle, but we do not have saddles of all sizes, so we shave the saddle for artists who use it on a frequent schedule.
Naturally, it is more expensive to modify the saddle, so replacement is recommended.

The pot jacks were repaired by replacing them with new ones.

The PU cover was too worn out and the first string was caught. We replaced it with a new cover. It is also very worn out.

This model has a good sound and is easy to play.

It is true that many of the more battered ones have a better sound.
The sound of the V70 is so good that it is rare to find one with a sir? I am not sure if it is rare or not, but I recommend this PU.

サー製Modernのセットアップです。

トラスロッドが限界状態で更に固着している状態です。潤滑油を入れて回してみると回る様になりました。

トラスロッドが限界でやや順反りしている状態です。まだ弾けるレベルではあります。
Suhrに状態が悪い個体は珍しいのですが、近年は木材の強度低下やユーザーが弦を張りっぱなし等のずさんな保管をされていればいくらSuhr製品でもダメになるのは当然です。
高額な楽器をダメにしない為にも弦は緩めて保管する、乾燥させない保管を行わないといけません。

音がタイトで歪みのノリが良い個体です。
特にリアは良い歪みです。

高価なモデルになりますので大事に使用していきましょう。

This is a Modern setup made by Sir.

The truss rod is sticking in a marginal condition. It turned after adding lubricant and turning it.

The truss rod is at its limit and slightly warped. It is still playable.
It is rare for a Suhr to be in bad condition, but in recent years, it is natural for any Suhr product to go bad if the strength of the wood has decreased or if the user has been sloppy in storing it, such as leaving the strings on.

The sound is tight and the distortion is good.
The rear distortion is especially good.

This is an expensive model, so please take good care of it.
