This is a rewiring and setup of a custom made guitar by Keysel.
The guitar was purchased new and just arrived, but the internal wiring is messy, and the internal wiring is already broken and in a position where there is no sound + the selector is not working properly even though it is brand new.
When we checked the inside, we found that the selector was installed backwards, so the rear sounded in the front position, etc.
It is unthinkable because the manufacturer used to be quite good.
There are many manufacturers whose quality deteriorates as they become popular and well-known, and Keysel was no exception.
At the customer’s request, we added a mini-switch, and with the same wiring as another guitar he brought in, we added a front + rear tap sound like a Telecaster when the switch is turned on (function to mix the front sound with the signal and tap the rear with the mini-switch). Blender + coil tap wiring switch.
It is quite accurate and easy to play. The manufacturing precision has not been compromised, but it seems likely that they are understaffed or that the wiring and other finishing touches are left to inexperienced people.
In the past, the quality of this manufacturer was very good, and I have recommended them on Youtube, but things seem to have changed in recent years.
Please keep up to date with the latest information and check back daily.
When I send out information, I am not responsible for whether the information will always be the same, so please always keep your antennae up for updates.
They said it was purchased new, but the wiring is wrong and the controls are not correct. The volume does not work and the sound is cut off.
The overall wiring is not correct, so we re-soldered the entire unit and fixed the wrong wiring to get it back to normal.
The volume does not work because there is just a mistake in the wiring, so we fixed the wiring and the volume now works.
I believe what the customer told me, but if this is a new purchase, it would be unusual not to know this on inspection, wouldn’t it? I think it is unusual that this is not detected in the inspection if it is a new purchase.
I believe that there may be some manufacturing errors because of the low price range, but the sales side should have inspected the product and returned it for repair, etc.
I feel uncomfortable that both the manufacturer and the retailer are passing the product on to the customer.
I wish more people in the musical instrument industry would think about the people who buy their instruments and do work that they can be proud of.
This industry is no different from big motors, and I don’t think this environment will improve unless someone exposes it and makes it a problem.
This is a Bacchus Stratocaster with nut groove cut adjustment, peg replacement and setup.
This model was introduced on Youtube. It is a very good guitar for a new price of 20,000 yen.
The sound when the pegs are replaced and the nut groove is cut is shown on Youtube, which you may find interesting.
The sound is good and the condition is good, but you may be concerned about the high nut height and the fret side, which are common in the low price range.
However, I think this is a model that can be improved if it is fixed afterwards.
It is easy to play and has a good sound. I recommend this guitar as a good model in the low price range because it has no strange habits.
This is a nut replacement for a Gibson Thunderbird.
The open strings are stuck and the nut height is low.
We were able to replace the nut and finish the guitar with no problems.
Used guitars and old guitars have low nut height and clogged frets due to wear and tear, so repair is a must.
So basically, when you buy a used instrument, it is a good idea to consider repairing it as a set.
This is a nut replacement for a Gibson 50th Anniversary model Flying V.
The open strings are clogged due to wear and tear.
By replacing the nut, we were able to finish it up without any problems.
The front PU has a shallow counterbore, so the height of the PU cannot be lowered, and the PU tilts at an angle.
The rear PU has been replaced with a Fat Cat, and the sound is very crisp.
Surprisingly, I think that Gibson fits better with a PU that is not made by Gibson. If you think that the sound is too fat or not crisp enough, it would be better to replace the PU.
I think Gibson has a tendency to sound fat from the start, so a PU with a fat boomy feel often becomes unbalanced.
This is a nut groove adjustment and setup for MD-MM Produce and MD-Premier MD-G7Plus.
The nut height is high and the low position is difficult to play.
The truss rod was almost at its limit.
The truss rod was almost at its limit after adjustment.
Since recent woods are soft and weak, they warp a lot when the strings are stretched, so many new guitars are sold with the truss rod in a very effective condition.
After completion, the neck will be warped by the tension of the strings, and the truss rod will have almost no room to spare when the neck is straightened.
The seller knows this and sells the guitar without saying anything, so if you don’t keep the strings loose, you will have to replace the guitar after a few years because the neck will warp too much and it will be difficult to play.
If you buy a guitar that does not have enough room for the truss rod at the start, the adjustment range for future warping will be limited, which means that the life of the guitar will be short.
Before you buy, have the shopkeeper check the amount of truss rod left over “from the state of being properly adjusted” and buy one with a lot of truss rod left over.
Do not buy from a store that does not do this.
As in any industry, there are those who believe in “occult” theories and conspiracy theorists who believe in them.
It is perfectly fine if they are just thinking, but when they find someone who is different from them on social networking sites, they attack them, which is very troublesome.
This area is similar to the “displacement mount” in the motorcycle industry. Another example is “Uncle Harley is good”.
I don’t understand what they are basing their greatness on.
These elements are the characteristics of “people who don’t study”.
Naturally, information evolves and is updated on a daily basis.
In the past, “this was the right thing to do” and “it was done”, so the answer may not be the same now.
There is no such thing as the same thing today as there was in the past.
To begin with, the world revolves around business and interests.
Information that is convenient for the general public and consumers is not available.
If you want to know the correct information, you have to go and check what is happening on the ground.
Then it is more accurate to find the answers to the information by comparing what was said with what is actually happening.
Most of the time, what was said and what is actually happening are different.
In my mind, I define “stupid” as someone who doesn’t have that idea, doesn’t think, doesn’t try to know, doesn’t actually act to confirm, and attacks others in spite of their ignorance.
Please note that I am not saying this to everyone who is serious and watching, so listeners beware.
I am just saying what I really mean.
It is normal to be ignorant unless you are an expert.
However, in this day and age, when experts are disseminating information in depth and can be accessed for free, if you spend a little time and work hard, you can certainly acquire more knowledge than most people.
Yet, it is one of the acts of a fool to mount up with only one’s own knowledge without studying.
Spend your time studying. You will benefit from the results.
Loose strings? Do you loosen them or not?
This is something I have been sending out for a long time, so check my past blogs and YouTube.
The answer is “the majority of the time it is better to loosen the strings.” The correct answer is to check the amount of truss rod left after the strings are properly adjusted and decide whether or not to loosen them.
Do not ask a repairman to do the job if he says “it is OK to leave it taut” without any evidence of this. That person is an amateur.
If it is hung on the wall, the neck warp will be fixed.
It will not.
If the neck is soft enough to be fixed by this, you would think that if the strings are left taut, the tension of the strings would cause the neck to warp in the forward direction.
If the strings were left loose and hung, it would make more sense, but this is a story about a mysterious person who thinks that “leaving the strings taut is fine and hanging them will fix the warp. There are so many enigmatic people who think that “leaving the strings taut and hanging them up fixes the warping”.
String tension is a much stronger load than the weight of the body.
Vintage guitars sound good.
This is also a business term involving business.
It is true that some of them sound good, but certainly “not all of them” is correct.
And of course, many of them are in poor condition because they are old.
However, dealers often do not give such explanations and sell guitars with the full intention of showing that they are valuable.
There are many people who buy guitars without knowing it and end up crying because they can’t use it as a guitar.
If you are buying a guitar for the purpose of resale and selling it in the future, it may be fine, but if you are considering using it as a tool, it is very important to judge its condition.
There are also many fakes, so purchasing one itself is also risky.
The more you play it, the better it will sound.
This is true, but I don’t know the specific reason.
Strings become new when boiled.
Old strings can be boiled to make them sound a little better, but there is honestly no benefit to this labor.
It takes a lot of time and effort, so it is better to replace them with new strings in a straightforward manner.
Put the screws back in their original positions.
Someone has come up with something weird again.
It comes up often. “I’m different from the others, I’m working hard on these things. Isn’t that great?” and mounts them.
They try to show their superiority to ignorant people by appropriating knowledge from other industries.
For example, if the length of a screw is different from the original length, it is natural to put it back in its original position. But this is normal without being told.
If a screw of a different thickness is used, this is also a matter of course without being told.
It is also common practice to turn a wood screw in the direction to loosen it and turn it from the point where the threads meet, etc., so we do not need to explain every time.
If the wrong screws are used by mistake or used screws are mixed due to amateur work, you need to ask a repairman to fix them as soon as you find out who used them.
And as I say in the video, if you are talking about the same screws under other conditions, it is “not important”.
This is the same theory as “try it yourself,” but if the sound changes after replacing the screws, it’s fine, but it won’t. If it does change, it’s because the screws are too tight or not tight enough.
If it does change, it is more likely to be due to over-tightening or improper tightening order.
The same thing is true in the knowledge of automobile maintenance, but even thick metal can be distorted, so there is a fixed value for the tightening order and force.
You can see that the act of attaching parts is quite important in these relationships, but it may be difficult to feel the great benefit with a guitar or so.
The larger and more demanding the operation, the more you will feel the small changes.
In the case of guitars, it’s not worth it to go to all this trouble for a place that doesn’t have a high load or a high temperature. It’s just a story of “What’s the use of such a small thing?
Instead, it’s more like, “There are more important things to worry about.” I’m talking about that.
Solder changes the sound.
It changes, but generally the sound is not good.
This is another business term. It’s the psychology of wanting something unknown with high expectations.
And the misconception of knowing the sound is that if the sound gets better, it means “something is going to get worse.
In the end, there is an imbalance.
It is basically impossible for everything to get better.
If these areas become the sound you like, it is a good result, but did you aim for it? Was it done by accident? The story is totally different depending on whether it was done by accident or by design.
I define it as an occult product because of its high price and lack of significant effect.
There are cheap solders around that don’t change the sound, and these are the best ones.
This is the same as the audio occult.
~Finally~.
I can tell you rightly and clearly that you should not believe the information you see, but rather take the option of “hold off until you try it out and see for yourself”.
This is true for everything, not just instruments.
Brainwashing is very strong in everyone.
Famous people advertise, media and companies advertise and market their products as if they are great, but it is never a definite factor.
It is all up to you to decide.
The question that one must ask oneself is “Is this really the answer that I have come up with? Is this really a placebo effect of the information? If you do not analyze things calmly, you will be influenced by emotions and atmosphere and make a wrong decision.
Who do you get information from? Please think carefully about whose information you are going to spread around and act accordingly.
The electrical wiring has been replaced with parts, but the soldering is not good.
This is the replacement of PU only as requested by the customer.
The condition is easy to play as it has been repaired in various parts.
Ibanez has excellent boxed guitars, so we recommend this guitar.
Ibanez is a maker that seems to specialize in electric guitars and metal guitars, but they also have excellent vintage and old sounding guitars.
