  • Proco Turbo RAT フットスイッチ交換

  • Proco製ターボラットのフットスイッチ交換です。

    ON時の音が非常に小さく、恐らくフットスイッチ不良です。

    フットスイッチはよくON/OFFしたり多用すれば壊れ易いパーツとなります。
    また体重を掛けて踏む人が居ますがこうした事も破損の原因になります。

    交換しましたが内部が交換し難い構造です。

    メーカーは消耗パーツを交換し易い様に作っていてほしい所です。

    This is a foot switch replacement for a Proco turbo rat.

    The sound when turning on is very low, probably due to a defective footswitch.

    Foot switches are easily broken if they are turned on and off frequently or used a lot.
    Also, some people step on the foot switch with their weight on it, which can also cause damage.

    The inside of the footswitch is difficult to replace.

    I wish the manufacturer would make the consumable parts easy to replace.

  • ドラゴンフライ製オーダーメイドギターのポット交換です。

    ボリュームのガリで音が出なくなるとの事で交換しました。

    内部をチェックしてみると配線状態が荒く、周りの配線にハンダコテを当てた様な跡がありました。
    中古購入との事なので中身が素人イジりされている様子です。

    中古品は見えない所に難がある事が多く、販売店でもそこまで丁寧にチェックしている事も少ないので要注意です。

    今回はお客様の要望でボリュームの交換のみです。順反りしていて弾き難い状態です。

    This is a pot replacement for a custom made guitar by Dragonfly.

    The pot was replaced because the volume was rattling and sound would not come out.

    When we checked the inside of the guitar, we found that the wiring was in rough condition and there were marks around the wiring that looked like soldering iron had been applied to the wiring.
    Since it was purchased second-hand, the inside of the unit had been tampered with by amateurs.

    Second-hand products often have defects in places that cannot be seen, and even dealers do not always check them that carefully, so be careful.

    This time, we only replaced the volume at the customer’s request. It is hard to play because it is warped.

  • Gibson Robot Guitar SG 配線チェック

  • ギブソン製SGの配線チェックです。

    ロボットギターと呼ばれるオートチューナーが付いたモデルです。

    音が小さくなるとの事で持ち込まれました。

    配線は問題無さそうですが各所にガリがあるので洗浄剤で対処しました。
    各所チェックしてみるとギター本体に問題は無く、使用しているシールドケーブルに問題がありそうです。

    ペグがバッテリー式により、消耗しているのかそこまで電池が持たない様子です。
    電池が切れたら手で回せば良いと思いがちですが回しても動きが遅く、引っ掛かりがある様なので手作業で巻けないペグがあります。

    壊れたら普通のペグに交換されている事が理解できました。
    便利に見えてかなり不都合なペグに思います。

    This is a wiring check of a Gibson SG.

    It is a model with auto tuner called “Robot Guitar”.

    It was brought in because the sound was getting quieter.

    The wiring seems to be OK, but there are some scuffs in various places, so we used a cleaning agent to fix them.
    The guitar itself is fine, but the shielded cable used seems to be the problem.

    The pegs are battery operated and the batteries do not seem to last that long.
    I tend to think that I can turn the pegs by hand when the battery runs out, but they move slowly when turned, and there are pegs that cannot be wound by hand because they seem to have a snag.

    I understood that when they break, they are replaced with ordinary pegs.
    I think the pegs look convenient but are quite inconvenient.

  • FenderUSA エリッククラプトン ストラトキャスター ポット交換＆ジャック交換＆セットアップ

  • フェンダーUSA製ストラトキャスター、エリッククラプトンモデルのポット交換・ジャック交換・セットアップです。

    ポットにガリがある状態です。
    ストラトキャスターはボリューム可変をよく使用すると思いますので消耗も他のギターより早くなります。

    また新品購入のギターとの事ですがポットのビス山が痛んでナットが締め付けができない状態にもなっていました。
    年々組み込みも荒くなっている様です。

    ジャックにもガリがあるので交換しました。

    こうしたアクティブ回路搭載のギターは内部配線も初期状態でかなりぐちゃぐちゃになっており、トラブルが多いギターでもあります。
    基盤も単体で販売されておりますが下手な組み込みが原因で破損してる事も考えられるので、トラブルが起きた際はパーツを新品に全交換するか通常のストラトキャスター配線（パッシブにする等）しても良いかもしれません。
    こちらでもアクティブ回路のモデルは保証ができませんので、メーカーの製造精度に難がある以上は使用する側にもその理解がないとダメです。

    This is a Fender USA Stratocaster, Eric Clapton model with pot replacement, jack replacement and setup.

    The pots have some galling.
    Stratocaster guitars are often used with variable volume, so they wear out faster than other guitars.

    The pot screw threads were damaged and the nuts could not be tightened.
    The build quality seems to have gotten rougher over the years.

    The jack also had some buzzing, so we replaced it.

    Guitars with active circuits like this are prone to problems because the internal wiring is messed up in the initial state.
    The circuit board is sold separately, but it may have been damaged due to poor installation, so you may want to replace all the parts with new ones or do normal Stratocaster wiring (passive, etc.) if you have any problems.
    We cannot guarantee the active circuit model here either, so as long as the manufacturer’s manufacturing accuracy is not good, the user must have that understanding.

  • ヤマハ製FG-180のフレットすり合わせ・ナット溝切り調整です。

    古いモデルですが過去にフレット交換されており状態が良くなっている様子ですがその後弾き込まれた大きな消耗により状態が悪くフレットの大きな消耗、ナット高が高い状態です。

    フレットをすり合わせ、高いナットを切って弾き易く仕上げる事ができました。

    ヤマハのFGシリーズは低価格帯ながら音質が良い物が多く、流石に近年の中古で手に入る物は状態が悪い物ばかりでとても使える様な物を手に入れれたらラッキーだと思います。

    基本はトラスロッド限界で大きく順反り・トップ浮きも酷く弦高も高い物が多いので、まず使用できるレベルじゃない物が多いです。

    そうした意味でも使用できる状態というのは価値があります。
    昔の低価格帯は数万円でも現在の20～30万円と同じ位と言っても良い位の物が多いです。

    This is a Yamaha FG-180 fret grind and nut groove cut adjustment.

    It is an old model, but the frets had been replaced in the past, and the condition seemed to have improved.

    We were able to finish the guitar by matching the frets and cutting the high nut to make it easier to play.

    The Yamaha FG series has a lot of good sound quality at a low price point, but the ones you can find used in recent years are all in poor condition, so you would be lucky to get a very usable one.

    The basic condition of the FG series is at the limit of the truss rod, and most of them are not usable because of the large forward warp, top lift, and high string height.

    In this sense, it is valuable to have them in usable condition.
    In the old days, many of the low-priced ones were priced at several tens of thousands of yen, which is about the same as today’s 200,000-300,000 yen.

  • フェンダーUSA製60年代製テレキャスターのセットアップです。

    68年製、ブリッジが変わっててオクターブが合ってない状態です。

    やや順反りを調整しました。ヴィンテージの物にしては比較的状態が良いです。

    ヴィンテージ楽器を購入する際に注意点としては状態がまともに弾けるレベルなのか？を必ず確認して下さい。

    特に詳細も無く「良い物！価値がある！」として販売されていたりしますが、当然ながら古い物なので基本的には状態が悪い物が大半です。
    致命的な状態の物も多いので、この辺りをチェックした上で買わないと後から不具合を指摘しても「古い物だからしょうがない、何で分かってて買っていないんだ？」と扱われる事になります。
    ヴィンテージ楽器を購入するには目利きできる知識が無いと難しいかもしれません。

    This is a Fender USA 60’s Telecaster setup.

    Made in ’68, bridge has been changed and octave is not correct.

    I have adjusted the slightly forward warp. It is in relatively good condition for a vintage item.

    Please be careful when you buy a vintage instrument, and be sure to check if the condition is decent enough to play. Please make sure to check if it is in decent playable condition.

    If there are no details and you think “It’s a good one! Worth it! but most of them are in poor condition because they are old.
    If you don’t check the condition of the item before you buy it, you will be treated as if the item is old and you don’t know why you didn’t buy it when you point out the problem later. If you point out the defect later, you will be treated as “It’s just an old instrument, why didn’t you buy it knowingly?
    It may be difficult to buy a vintage instrument if you don’t have a good eye for vintage instruments.

  • FenderJAPAN Eシリアル ストラトキャスター PU交換＆セットアップ VANZANDT VINTAGE PLUS

    フェンダージャパン製ストラトキャスター、EシリアルのPU交換・セットアップです。

    フロントのみヴァンザント製ヴィンテージプラスに交換です。自分も好きなPUですね。

    ヴァンザント製PUは特にシングルPUが優秀で、価格も他と比べて安いのでシングルコイルPUの交換なら選択肢としてはまずこれらが入ってくる事と思います。

    音の粘りや太さが丁度良いバランスです。
    ヴァンザント製もヴィンテージプラスやトゥルーヴィンテージが売れ線と思いますが、近年は他メーカー品が品薄になっている背景からこうしたパーツも買える内に購入していた方が良いかもしれません。

    This is a PU replacement and setup for a Fender Japan Stratocaster, E serial.

    Only front PU is replaced with Van Zandt Vintage Plus. I like this PU.

    Van Zandt’s PUs are excellent, especially single PUs, and their price is lower than other PUs.

    The sound has just the right balance of stickiness and fatness.
    Vintage Plus and True Vintage are the best sellers in the Van Zandt line, but with the recent shortage of other makers’ products, it would be better to buy these parts while you can.
