ベムラム製ジャンレイのフットスイッチ交換です。
切り替えで音が出ない時がある事と基盤に付いているフットスイッチタイプです。
フットスイッチは消耗品ですので、使用頻度が高いと壊れてくるパーツになります。
ただ基盤に直接付いていると交換がやり難いので、メーカーも消耗品箇所は交換し易い様に作ってほしいと願います。
あまり歪まない個体で音がかなり太く、フロントPUで鳴らしている様なサウンドで非常にクセがある音がします。
中々個性が強い音なので一般受けはしないかもしれませんが、こんなエフェクターもあるんだなと触ってみると面白いかもしれません。

クールZ製ジャズベースの配線直しです。
お客様の方で配線を失敗した個体になります。
配線直してみたが無事に音が出ました。
お客様の方でパーツはハンダの当てすぎとの事で、使用には不安がある状態です。
パーツも高額な物で構成されていてもハンダ付けが上手くいかなかったり余計なハンダ熱を与えていればパーツ劣化で音が悪くなりますので意味が無くなります。
クライオ処理ポット×2、フルアップトーン、ウエスタンエレクトリック配線材で構成されています。
ＰＵもアンティクイティ2が付いており名前だけでは豪華な仕様になっていますが音が明るく硬いサウンドです。
これらもパーツ劣化で起きている現象と思いますが、良いパーツを正しく組んで使い続ける事も考えたら頼んだ方が無難です。
ハンダ付けも大体の方は「音が出るレベル」ですので「音が良いレベル」で使いたいならお店に頼んだ方が良いです。

This is a rewiring of a jazz bass made by Cool Z.
This is a unit that the customer had a wiring failure.
We rewired it and it sounded fine.
The customer said that the parts were soldered too much, and it is in a state where there are concerns about its use.
Even if the parts are composed of expensive items, if the soldering does not work well or if excess solder heat is applied, the sound will deteriorate due to parts deterioration, so it will lose its meaning.
It consists of 2 cryo-treated pots, full up tone, and western electric wiring material.
The PU is also equipped with an Antiquity 2, which is a luxurious specification by name alone, but the sound is bright and hard.
I think these phenomena are also caused by parts deterioration, but it is safer to ask for help if you think about assembling good parts correctly and continuing to use them.
Most of the soldering is at “sound level”, so if you want to use it at “good sound level”, it is better to ask a store to do it for you.

チューン製Zi-3のセットアップです。
大きく順反りしている上にトラスロッドの余裕が殆ど無い状態です。
トラスロッド限界状態でも大きく順反りしている状態で、一応は弾けるが弦高が高い事は勿論ですが音詰まりもギリギリな状態です。
順反り具合が限度を超えれば弾き難い上に12フレット辺りから音詰まりが起こる様になります。
全くと言って良い程に順反りは良い事がありません。
トラスロッドが余っていればこうした状態を直せたかもしれませんが、その余裕が無ければ調整不可になります。
元々フレットあるモデルがフレットレスされた様子です。
恐らく状態が悪くなってきたのを分かった上で手放している物と思われます。
ネットで買えばこうした個体も全然珍しくありませんが、説明で良い事ばかり書いてあっても実際の状態は異なる場合も多いので結局はジャンク品を買う気持ちで買わないとメルカリやヤフオクは難しいです。
「弦は張りっぱなしで良い」とか信じていたらこの個体の様な状態となります。

This is a Zi-3 setup made by Tune.
It is very bent forward and there is almost no room for the truss rod.
Even with the truss rod at the limit, it is still very warped, and although it is playable, the string height is not only high, but also the sound is just about stuck.
If the forward warp exceeds the limit, it will be difficult to play and the sound will start to get stuck around the 12th fret.
If the forward warp is too much, it is difficult to play and the sound will become clogged from the 12th fret.
If there was an extra truss rod, this condition could have been corrected, but without it, it is not adjustable.
This is an example of a fretted model that was originally fretless.
The owner probably knew that the condition was deteriorating and gave it away.
It is not unusual to find these types of instruments on the Internet, but even if the description says good things about the instrument, the actual condition of the instrument is often different from the description.
If you believe that “you can leave the strings on”, it will be in a condition like this one.

G＆L製S-500のセットアップです。
ブログでも評価の高いギターですね。
G＆Lは意外とギターもベースも良いメーカーなのですが世間の認知が低い様にも思います。
フェンダー本人が関わった最後のメーカーなのですが、普通に今までのフェンダー・ミュージックマンの上位機種となるモデルを販売しています。
G＆Lはギターもベースもポールピースの高さ調整が各弦で行える様になっていたり、フェンダー本人はセンスがあるのでこの辺りを分かってて仕様が改良されています。
多くのメーカーはどうして真似しないのでしょうか？
フェンダー本人が関わる分野の良い所は「電気系」で、アンプや細かい仕様にそのセンスが光っています。
こちらのモデルは音が良く、G＆Lでハズレは今まであまり見た事が無い気がしますのでお勧めです。
フェンダーやミュージックマンでギターベースを買う予定ならG＆Lを買いましょう。

This is a G&L S-500 setup.
This guitar is highly rated on the blog.
G&L is a surprisingly good manufacturer of both guitars and basses, but I think they are not well recognized by the public.
They were the last manufacturer that Fender himself was involved with, but they usually sell models that are the top of the line of Fender Music Man models up until now.
Fender himself has a good sense, so he knows this area and has improved the specifications.
Fender’s sense of design shines through in the amps and other details.
This model has a good sound and I have never seen a G&L that is not good enough.

フェンダージャパン製ジャズベースのPU交換・セットアップです。
セイモアダンカン製SJB-2に交換です。
またネックの状態がかなり良く、やや逆反りしてるがトラスロッドが全く効いていない状態で弦を張って真っ直ぐになる個体です。
古い年代でかなり理想的な状態ですね。
こうした個体と分かった時に初めて「この個体では弦は張りっぱなしで良い」とか言えるんですけどね。
この頃のフェンダージャパン製は非常に良かったのですが、近年の音質や木材強度を考えたらこの頃の中古品を購入してリペアして使用した方が長く使い続けられると思います。
パワフルなローミッドが出るジャズベースとなりました。

This is a PU replacement and setup for a Fender Japan Jazz Bass.
It is replaced with a Seymour Duncan SJB-2.
Also, the neck is in pretty good condition, slightly inverted but the truss rod is not working at all, and the unit can be straightened with the strings.
It’s pretty ideal condition for its old age.
The Fender Japan made at this time were very good, but considering the recent sound quality and wood strength, it would be better to buy a used one from this time and repair it for use for a long time.
It has become a jazz bass with powerful low mid.

ヤマハ製サイレントギターのセットアップです。
大きく順反りして弦高が高い状態で弾き難いです。
調整でトラスロッドが限界状態となりました。
こちらのネックは補強材でも入っているのか？の様にネック剛性が高いのですが、現実は補強材を入れてれば反らない訳ではありません。
古くはモジュラス等の質が良いカーボンで作られたネックですら弦張力で反るのですから、補強材は入れてれば大丈夫な訳はありません。
入れないよりはマシになる程度で、弦張力の強い負荷が常にネックに掛かっていたらネックは順反りしていきトラスロッドで調整できる範囲を終えてしまいます。
ネック剛性が高いとトラスロッドを回してもあまり反りが動かないのですが、その分弦の張力でも反りが変化し難いです。
こうした場合で勘違いが起こり易いのですが「弦の張力でネックが反らない→ネック強度が高い」と判断するのは正しいのですがそこから「なのでこのギターは張りっぱなしで良い」と判断するのは甘いです。
何故昔から弦は緩めた方が良いと言ってるのかリスナーなら分かると思いますが、それだけ弦の張力が物体を変形させる位に非常に強い力が発生している事とそれに対抗できる充分な構造で作られていない事が理由です。
順反ってしまう物と考えて使用し続けないと長持ちできません。
順反りしてきたら私が昔から発信している様な方法で逆反りさせる工夫等も必要になってきます。
長持ちさせる秘訣はトラスロッドの余り量を意識して、余裕が無いなら逆反りさせる様に保管してくる工夫も必要になってきます。

This is a Yamaha Silent Guitar setup.
It is hard to play with a large forward bow and high string height.
The truss rod is at its limit after adjustment.
The neck of this guitar has a high stiffness as if it has a reinforcing material in it. In reality, however, it does not mean that the neck will not warp if reinforcement is used.
Even necks made of high quality carbon such as modulus in the past warped due to string tension.
If the neck is always subjected to a strong load of string tension, the neck will warp in the forward direction and the range where the truss rod can be adjusted will be over.
If the neck is rigid, the warp will not move much when the truss rod is turned, but this makes it difficult for the warp to change even with string tension.
In such cases, it is easy to make a mistake. It is correct to judge that “the neck does not warp under string tension” as “the neck is strong,” but it is naive to judge that “the guitar can be left taut because of this.
Listeners will understand why I have always said that it is better to loosen the strings. The reason is that the tension of the strings generates a force so strong that it can deform the object, and the guitar is not made with sufficient structure to resist this force.
If you don’t continue to use it as if it will warp in turn, it won’t last long.

エピフォン製ジムジェームスモデルES-335のセットアップです。
新品なのに初期状態で弦高がかなり高い状態です。かなり弾き難いです。
ただこうした状態でも平気で新品で並べてある事も多いので、それだけ販売側がずさんな環境だと分かるかと思います。
ちゃんと調整してみたら音詰まりする箇所があり、こうした不具合箇所を誤魔化す為に弦高を高くして売っている様にしか思えないです。
基本的に弦高が高い状態で試奏をさせてきたら状態を疑いましょう。
エピフォンの箱物は精度も高く音も良かったのですが、近年は低下している様子ですのでお気を付け下さい。

This is an Epiphone Jim James model ES-335 setup.
It is new but the string height is quite high in the initial condition. It is quite hard to play.
However, many new ES-335s are sold in this condition, so you can tell that the seller has a sloppy environment.
When I tried to adjust the strings properly, I found that there were some parts that were clogged up, and I can only think that they are sold with high string height in order to cover up these defective parts.
Basically, if you are asked to try a guitar with a high string height, you should be suspicious of its condition.
Epiphone boxed instruments used to have high precision and good sound, but this seems to be declining in recent years, so please be careful.

グレッチ製G6636T、ホワイトファルコンのフレットすり合わせ・ナット溝切り調整です。
以前の新品で購入した物を調整したばかりの個体です。
新品で購入したばかりの個体でしたが調整でトラスロッド限界の物でしたが、その後に使用していてウネリが出てきて音にビビりが出てくる様になったとの事ですり合わせる事となりました。
近年の木材強度は非常に低下しているので、新品の時点でトラスロッドが限界になる様な木材強度ですから基本はこうした個体は長持ちしないでしょう。
新品スタート地点で状態が悪いのですから、今後の状態も悪くなる一方な個体と思います。
バカリペアマンはこうした個体があっても「弦は張りっぱなしで良い」とか言って購入した人に壊させて買い替えさせるあくどい商法をしています。
すり合わせでウネリを取り、ほんの少しだけトラスロッド限界から余裕ができましたが安心して使用できるトラスロッドの余り状態ではありません。
このウネリも元から多少はあったと思いますが、材が柔らかいので今後もネック状態が変化して状態が悪くなるスパンが早いと思います。
弦は緩めて保管しないとダメです。特に新しい年代の物なら猶更です。
ナット高も部分的に高い弦がある為、削って整え弾き易く調整しました。

This is a Gretsch G6636T, White Falcon, fret grind and nut groove cut adjustment.
This is a previously purchased new one that has been adjusted.
The truss rod was at the limit after adjustment.
The strength of the wood has decreased so much in recent years that the truss rod is at its limit when it is new, so basically, these pieces will not last long.
Baca repairmen are doing a shady business by saying “you can leave the strings on” and making the buyer break it and replace it with a new one.
The truss rod is not in a condition where it can be used safely.
I think there was a little bit of this swelling from the beginning, but since the wood is soft, the condition of the neck will continue to change and the condition will deteriorate and span quickly in the future.
The strings need to be kept loose. The strings need to be loosened and stored, especially if it is a newer age.
The nut height has also been adjusted to make it easier to play, as some of the strings are too high.
