  • フェンダーメキシコ製プレシジョンベースの配線直し・セットアップです。

    内部配線が雑、断線で音が出ない状態です。

    ペグがサイズが違う物に交換されている様子です。
    4弦ブッシュが簡単に抜けるので、ここのみ接着で修正しました。

    音が良いモデルです。

    ボディは日本製の物に交換されているとの事で、ちゃんとした所でレリック加工されている様子です。

    レリック加工は非常にセンスが重要な加工で、素人がするといわゆる「レリックしました感」が出てきます。

    Wiring repair and setup for a Fender Mexico-made Precision Bass.

    Internal wiring was sloppy, with breaks causing no sound output.

    The tuning pegs appear to have been replaced with different sized ones.
    The 4th string bushing came out easily, so only this area was fixed with adhesive.

    It’s a model with great tone.

    The body has been replaced with a Japanese-made one, and it appears to have been professionally reliced.

    Relic processing is a task where taste is crucial; when done by amateurs, it often ends up looking obviously “reliced.”

  • Gibson レスポール ブリッジ交換 MONTREUX ABR-1 style Bridge non-wired relic

  • ギブソン製レスポールのブリッジ交換です。

    サドルが取れて紛失したとの事で、この機会に新しいブリッジへ交換です。

    ギブソン製純正のサドルに交換ですが、これは溝切りされていないのでパーツ代にプラス溝切り料金が加わるので料金面ではGOTOH製等がお勧めです。

    しかしGOTOH製と比べ音が違う気がして、こちらの方が音が柔らかいと思います。

    GOTOH製は金属が硬いのか、その分丈夫ですが音が硬くなります。
    こちらの純正サドルは音が柔らかい傾向ですがサドル自体にガタがあるので精度は悪いです。

    Gibsonユーザーは分かると思いますがサドルにガタがあり弦振動で暴れて変なノイズが発生したりします。
    金属も柔らかいからかオクターブ調整ビスも使用していると歪みが出てしまい、オクターブ調整によってガタ具合が変わったりします。
    音以外のデメリットは大きいので要注意です。

    Replacing the bridge on a Gibson Les Paul.

    The saddle came off and was lost, so we’re taking this opportunity to replace the entire bridge.

    We’re replacing it with a genuine Gibson saddle, but since this one isn’t pre-slotted, the cost includes both the part and the slotting fee. For cost reasons, we recommend GOTOH or similar brands.

    However, I feel the sound differs compared to GOTOH; I think this one produces a softer tone.

    GOTOH saddles, perhaps due to the harder metal, are more durable but produce a harsher sound.
    These genuine saddles tend to have a softer tone, but they have some play in the saddle itself, so precision is poor.

    Gibson users will understand—the saddle wobbles, causing strange noises from string vibration.
    Perhaps because the metal is softer, the octave adjustment screws also warp with use, and adjusting the octave changes the amount of wobble.
    The drawbacks beyond sound quality are significant, so be cautious.

  • ナビゲーター製レスポールカスタムの配線直し・セットアップです。

    お客様持ち込みのフロントPUにセイモアダンカン製SH-55、リアにGibsonの80年代PAFを付けた状態です。

    配線がベルデンのヴィンテージ配線、コンデンサにバンブルビーの組み合わせです。

    フロントは音が甘い傾向だが音抜けが良く、リアはバーストバッカー1より柔らかくやや出力がある感じです。

    古い年代製のＰＵは磁力落ちの影響で音が柔らかくなるので、現行品にも同じ物があると比べたらハッキリと音の違いが分かるかと思います。

    Wiring rework and setup for a Navigator-made Les Paul Custom.

    The customer-supplied front pickup is a Seymour Duncan SH-55, and the rear is a Gibson 80s PAF.

    Wiring uses Belden vintage wire paired with Bumblebee capacitors.

    The front pickup has a sweet tone but excellent projection, while the rear feels softer than a Burstbucker 1 with slightly more output.

    Older pickups tend to have softer tones due to magnetic field decay. Comparing them to current models with the same model number should clearly reveal the tonal difference.

  • ヴァンザンド製ストラトキャスターの配線直し・セットアップです。

    またお客様の要望でリアのトーンを250ｋΩから500ｋΩにしてみたいとの要望で交換しました。
    スイッチポットを使い、フロントＰＵを混ぜるブレンダー回路になりました。

    トーンでも250KΩから500ｋΩになるとコモる範囲が減り、微調整の幅が広がる印象です。
    ボリュームポットのKΩを変えて音を変える方法は定番ですが、トーンでもサウンド変化が起こります。

    ブレンダー回路はセンター＋リア時のポジションでONにすると、フロント＋リアの他にPU3つを鳴らす事も可能になり新しいストラトに産まれ変わります。

    ブレンダー回路も近年の定番改造になってますので、まだ知らない人は試した方が良いでしょう。

    Wiring rework and setup for a Vanzand Stratocaster.

    Also, per the customer’s request, we replaced the rear tone pot from 250kΩ to 500kΩ.
    Using a switch pot, it now functions as a blender circuit mixing the front pickup.

    Changing the tone pot from 250kΩ to 500kΩ seems to reduce the range of muddiness and expand the scope for fine-tuning.
    Changing the KΩ rating of the volume pot to alter the sound is a classic method, but changing the tone pot also produces sound variations.

    With the blender circuit, when switched ON in the Center + Rear position, it allows all three pickups to sound simultaneously, in addition to Front + Rear, effectively reborn as a new Strat.

    The blender circuit has become a standard modification in recent years, so if you haven’t tried it yet, it’s worth giving it a shot.

    大きく順反りしてかなり弦高が高い状態です。

    その他にジャック消耗で音が途切れる状態ですので新品に交換しました。

    正しく調整する事で弾き易い状態に仕上げる事ができました。

    Edwards Forest setup and jack replacement.

    The neck was significantly bowed backward, resulting in excessively high string action.

    Additionally, the worn jacks were causing intermittent sound dropouts, so they were replaced with new ones.

    Proper adjustment has restored playability to an optimal state.

    フラートーン製ストラトキャスターのピックガード交換・配線直し・ナット溝切り調整・セットアップです。
    加えて詳しい状態診断です。

    K＆T製のモデル年代は不明ですが中古品PUに交換、ヴィンテージベルデン配線にて組み込みです。

    ナット高が1～3弦だけ高めな状態を削って直しました。

    トラスロッドの余り量も多く良好個体で、何年製かは不明ですが良好個体です。
    調整した状態から1周程度はトラスロッドの余りがあります。

    モッサリ感ある古い年代製のサウンドに仕上がりました。

    Flatone Stratocaster pickguard replacement, rewiring, nut slot adjustment, and setup.
    Includes detailed condition assessment.

    Model year unknown K&T model, fitted with used pickups and vintage Belden wiring.

    The nut height was adjusted by shaving down the excess height on strings 1 through 3.

    The truss rod has ample adjustment range remaining, indicating a well-maintained instrument. While the exact year of manufacture is unknown, it is in excellent condition.
    After the adjustments, there is still about one full turn of truss rod adjustment left.

    The result is a sound characteristic of an older, more vintage-feeling guitar.

    ソーンツリー製ストラトキャスターのピックガード交換・配線直し・セットアップです。

    ピックガードを交換しポット交換2箇所・コンデンサ交換、PUをリンディフレーリンのリアル54に交換です。

    こちらはスイッチでPUを制御する仕様となるので、フロントとリアのハーフトーンや3つ全てONのサウンドも使用できる状態になります。

    音の粒が綺麗に鳴り、コード感も良いです。
    どのポジションも音が良く、スイッチ切り替えなので瞬時には難しいですが全体的に良いサウンドです。

    Pickguard replacement, rewiring, and setup for a Thorn Tree Stratocaster.

    The pickguard was replaced, two potentiometers and a capacitor were swapped out, and the pickups were upgraded to Lindy Fralin Real 54s.

    This setup uses a switch to control the pickups, enabling half-tone sounds from the front and rear pickups, as well as a full-on sound from all three pickups.

    The tone is clean and crisp, with excellent chord definition.
    Every fret position sounds great. While instant switching between sounds might be challenging, the overall sound quality is superb.

  • スクワイヤー製サイクロンのセットアップです。

    大きく順反りし弦高が高い状態でかなり弾き難いです。

    トラスロッドを調整し、ネック反りを直して弾き易い状態に仕上げる事ができました。

    フロントはクリーン、リアはパワーがあり歪み系とかなり極端なキャラクターが分かれたPUポジションです。
    意外とリアはかなり歪むので見た目程のクリーンはフロントでしか出せないと思います。

    This is the setup for a Squier Cyclone.

    It had significant forward bow and high string action, making it quite difficult to play.

    By adjusting the truss rod and correcting the neck bow, I was able to achieve a playable state.

    The pickup positions offer quite distinct characters: the front pickup is clean, while the rear pickup is powerful and suited for distortion.
    Surprisingly, the rear pickup distorts quite heavily, so I think the front pickup is the only one that can produce the clean tone you’d expect from its appearance.

    かなり大きく順反りで弦高が高く音も詰まる状態です。

    またフレット減りが全体的に大きい状態です。

    ネック反りを直し弾き易く調整しました。

    状態が悪くなる位まで弾き込んであるので音が良いモデルです。

    次回はフレットすり合わせをお勧めします。

    It had significant forward bowing, high string action, and a muffled sound.

    Additionally, the frets showed substantial overall wear.

    We corrected the neck bow and adjusted it for easier playability.

    This is a model with great tone, having been played extensively until it reached this condition.

  • ギブソンカスタムショップ製ES-355の配線直し・セットアップです。

    以前にお客様が持ち込んだパーツの300ｋΩ・500ｋΩＢカーブの組み合わせが使っててあまり良くなかったとの事で、全て通常の500ｋΩＡカーブに交換しました。

    当店でも基本Aカーブしか使用していないのですが、Bカーブが良いと感じる人は少ないと思います。

    交換後は効き方も自然で音もレンジが広いサウンドになりました。

    サウンドはポットのKΩでも音質が変化します。ポットだけで自分好みに調整も可能ですがハムバッカーの500KΩも基本になっている理由が改めて分かる結果になりました。

    カスタムバッカーのスッキリ感が歪みが綺麗で聴こえ易いサウンドにも変化し、クリーンでも歪みでも扱い易くなりました。

    Wiring rework and setup for a Gibson Custom Shop ES-355.

    The customer previously brought in parts with a combination of 300kΩ and 500kΩ B-curve potentiometers, which they found unsatisfactory during use. We replaced all of them with standard 500kΩ A-curve potentiometers.

    We primarily use A-curve potentiometers at our shop as well, and we believe few people find B-curve to be preferable.

    After the replacement, the response feels natural and the sound has a wider range.

    The sound quality changes even with the KΩ value of the pots. While you can adjust to your preference using just the pots, this result reaffirmed why the 500KΩ is the standard for humbuckers.

    The Custom Buckers now have a cleaner, more transparent feel with beautiful distortion that’s easy to hear. They’ve become easier to handle, whether clean or distorted.
