フェンダーカスタムショップ製ストラトキャスターのフレット交換です。

かなりフレットが消耗した状態です。過去にフレットすり合わせ歴があり、元のフレット高も低い状態から大きく消耗している状態です。

お客様との相談で元の指板R180のまま交換する事となりました。

指板が180Rだと1弦チョーキングで音詰まりが発生する為、チョーキングするなら弦高低めができない状態となるのでフレット交換時に240Rに削って仕上げる事が多いです。
ただこのモデルはラウンド貼り指板の為、指板が薄いので削って指板変更は元から不可です。

トラスロッドの余り量も多く状態良好でした。

ミディアムジャンボフレットに交換し、弾き易い状態に仕上げる事ができました。

This is a fret replacement on a Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster.

The frets are quite worn down. The guitar has been leveled in the past, and the frets have worn down significantly from their originally low height.

After consulting with the customer, we decided to replace the frets while maintaining the original fingerboard radius of 180.

Since an 180R fingerboard causes the sound to get muffled when bending the 1st string—meaning you can’t set the string height low enough for bending—we often sand it down to a 240R radius during a fret replacement.
However, because this model features a round-laminated fingerboard, the fingerboard is thin, so sanding it down to change the radius is not an option from the start.

The truss rod had plenty of adjustment left and was in good condition.

I replaced the frets with medium-jumbo ones, resulting in a guitar that’s a pleasure to play.
