ジャクソン製RR24のブリッジ溝切り・セットアップです。

ブリッジ側で全ての弦が切れ易いとの事で持ち込まれました。
新品弦でも弾いてて1曲弾けない位、すぐに切れる場合もあるそうです。

近年はパーツの品質が低下傾向により、有名で高価なパーツでも昔と比べ品質が悪い印象があります。
昔はこうした「弦が切れ易い」は安物パーツ（無メーカー品のペグやブリッジ）に多かったのですが、近年は高価な新品ペグやブリッジにも起こったりします。

全てのサドルの弦が当たる箇所がとにかく荒いので削って対処しました。
こうした溝があるサドルは明らか角がきつく、弦に対し鋭利な箇所を当てているので切れ易くなると思います。
実際に削ると良く分かりますが、かなりVの字と角張ったRになっています。

削って丸めるだけでも弦高が大きく変わる位、それだけサドル溝が鋭利な角になっています。

削って整えた後は調整し、しばらく弾いて確認させましたが特に切れたりする事は無さそうです。
音がクリアで歪みの乗りも良いモデルです。
日本ではまだ数少ないモデルの様子で珍しい個体の様です。

This is a bridge slot cutting and setup for a Jackson RR24.

The guitar was brought in because all the strings were breaking easily on the bridge side.
Apparently, even with brand-new strings, they would break so quickly that the player couldn’t even finish a single song.

In recent years, the quality of parts has been on a downward trend, and even well-known, expensive parts seem to be of poorer quality compared to the past.
In the past, this “prone to breaking” issue was common with cheap parts (unbranded tuners or bridges), but recently it has started occurring even with expensive, brand-new tuners and bridges.

The areas where the strings contact all the saddles were extremely rough, so I filed them down to resolve the issue.
Saddles with grooves like these clearly have sharp edges, and since they’re making contact with the strings at sharp points, I believe this makes them prone to breaking.
Once you actually file them down, you can clearly see that the grooves form a pronounced V-shape with sharp, angular edges.

Just filing them down to round them off significantly changes the string height—that’s how sharp the edges of the saddle grooves are.

After filing and smoothing them, I adjusted the setup and played it for a while to check, and it doesn’t seem to be causing any string breaks.
It’s a model with a clear tone and great distortion response.
It appears to be a rare model in Japan, with very few units available.
