PRS製Custom24のセットアップです。

中古購入との事ですが前オーナーに配線がイジられている様子です。

ステンレスフレット？にフレット交換がされているのか、ナットの高さが非常に低く詰まりかけている状態です。

セットアップする事で弾き易く音も良い状態に仕上げる事ができました。

中古品は前オーナーの間違った調整により、やたら弦高がベタベタな事や弦高が高い等と両極端です。

こうした中古品のカスタム済み個体は正しい状態であれば得な状態と言えます。

特に消耗品であり交換に高額なフレット交換済みの個体は更にお得と言えます。

恐らくですが前オーナーがステンレスフレットに交換したら音質が大きく異なる事を知らずに交換し、交換後にニッケルシルバーからステンレスフレットに交換した音が気に入らず手放したのでは？と思います。

This is a setup for a PRS Custom 24.

It appears to have been purchased used, and the previous owner seems to have tampered with the wiring.

The frets have been replaced with what appear to be stainless steel frets, and the nut height is extremely low, to the point where the strings are almost catching on it.

By performing a setup, I was able to make it easy to play and achieve a great sound.

With used guitars, incorrect adjustments by the previous owner can lead to extremes—such as string action that’s either too low (the strings dragging on the fretboard) or too high.

A pre-customized used guitar like this can be a real bargain if it’s in the right condition.

This is especially true for instruments with replaced frets—a consumable part that can be expensive to replace—making them an even better deal.

I suspect the previous owner replaced the frets with stainless steel without realizing the significant change in tone it would cause, and then decided to sell the guitar because they didn’t like the sound after switching from nickel silver to stainless steel frets.
