  • シャーベルカスタムショップ製ガスリーゴーヴァンモデルのストラップピン穴修正・セットアップです。

    ストラップピンのビス穴がナメっている状態の修正です。

    ボディ材がかなり柔らかい様子で、強度が弱いので短期間の使用でもビス穴がナメってくると思います。

    埋めて空け直しを行いましたが材自体が弱いので、どれだけ立って使用するかによりますがあまり長く持たないとは思います。

    その他ナット高がかなり高めで弾き難い状態です。高額なモデルですが低価格帯並みのナット高の仕上げに驚きました。

    This is a strap pin hole repair and setup for a Shaber Custom Shop Gasley Govan model.

    The repair addresses stripped screw holes for the strap pins.

    The body wood appears quite soft and weak, so I expect the screw holes will strip again even with short-term use.

    I filled and re-drilled the holes, but since the wood itself is weak, I don’t think it will last very long depending on how much it’s used.

    Additionally, the nut height is quite high, making it difficult to play. I was surprised to find such a high nut height finish on an expensive model, comparable to lower-priced ones.

  • ギブソン製カントリージェントルマンのストラップピン穴修正・セットアップです。

    ストラップピン穴がガバガバで修正が必要な状態です。

    順反りで弦高が高いのを調整しました。

    ストラップピンはどうしても使用しているとビス穴が広がっていきます。

    これはどうしても木材の方がビスより柔らかい事や、重量による負荷が掛かるので縦方向にビス山が広がっていき最終的には抜ける位まで広がります。

    定期的な修理が必要になる箇所とも言えますし、もしくはその対策として太く長いビスにストラップピン本体を加工して付けておくと通常の物より長持ちしたりします。

    これを怠るとギターのストラップが急に外れて破損の原因になる場合もあるので、毎回ビスを締め直す癖を付けておきましょう。

    This is a Gibson Country Gentleman strap pin hole correction and setup.

    The strap pin holes are gapped and need to be corrected.

    I adjusted the high string height due to forward warping.

    The strap pin holes inevitably widen with use.

    This is due to the fact that wood is softer than screws, and also because of the load from the weight, the screw holes will expand vertically until they eventually fall out.

    It can be said that periodic repairs are necessary, and as a countermeasure, if the strap pins themselves are modified and attached to thicker and longer screws, they will last longer than normal ones.

    Failure to do so may cause the guitar strap to come off suddenly and cause damage, so make it a habit to retighten the screws every time.

  • ヤマハ製BB434のセットアップ・ストラップピン穴修正です。

    ストラップピンの穴がガバガバとなっており埋めて空け直しを行いました。

    大きく順反りを直しており非常に弾き難い状態を調整し弾き易くしました。

    ヤマハ製は低価格帯で優秀なモデルが多く、弾き易く音も良い個体ばかりで非常にコストパフォーマンスが高いメーカーです。

    どうしても日本国内での評価が低い様に思うのですが、大手のマーケティング戦略に多くの消費者が洗脳されている事がよく分かるメーカーです。
    その辺に安く沢山売ってる物が良い物という、でもそれは多くの人が知らないという変な環境です。

    This is a setup and strap pin hole correction for a Yamaha BB434.

    The strap pin holes had become too tight and we filled and re-filled them.

    The large forward warp had been corrected and the very difficult to play condition was adjusted to make it easier to play.

    Yamaha has many excellent models in the low price range, all of which are easy to play and sound great, making them a very cost-effective manufacturer.

    I think that Yamaha is not well-reputed in Japan, but I understand that many consumers have been brainwashed by the marketing strategies of the big companies.
    It is a strange environment in which many people are unaware of the fact that what is sold cheaply and in abundance around the corner is a good product.
