バッカス SG ペグ交換＆セットアップ

バッカス製SGのペグ交換・セットアップです。

チェックしてみると冬場の乾燥の影響かネックグリップ・セットネック部にひび割れが起きています。
現状で使用には問題無さそうです。

ペグをブッシュと共に同タイプへ交換しました。

音が澄んでて綺麗な響きになりました。
GOTOH製は金属が硬いのか、音が煌びやかな方向になる事が多いです。

Peg replacement and setup for a Bacchus SG.

Upon inspection, cracks appeared in the neck grip and set neck area, likely due to winter dryness.
It seems usable as-is for now.

Replaced the pegs with the same type, including the bushings.

The sound is now clear and has a beautiful resonance.
GOTOH pegs often produce a more brilliant tone, perhaps due to their harder metal.

BACCHUS WJB-500R ジャズベースペグ交換

バッカス製ジャズベースのセットアップです。

ペグがぶつけて壊れたとの事で、1個のみ交換する事となりました。

見た目が同じ様なペグがAmazonにあるMusiclilyで低価格で販売されておりますが、全く同じ物ではありません。
こちらはお客様の持ち込みです。

ビス穴の位置が合わず、ヘッドに付いたブッシュ内径も合わないので全交換するとそれなりの加工費になります。
壊れた1ヵ所のみを交換する事となりました。

ペグはGOTOH等で同じ様なペグが見つかると思いますが、こうした独自形状のペグは交換用が見つからず大変になります。
メーカーも独自パーツを付けるなら交換対応でメーカーが販売を行う等の対応をするか、市販品で同じ物が買えるパーツを付けていてほしいです。

This is a setup for a Bacchus jazz bass.

One of the pegs was broken due to impact, so we decided to replace only that one.

Musiclily on Amazon sells pegs that look similar at a low price, but they are not exactly the same.
This one was brought in by the customer.

The screw hole positions do not match, and the inner diameter of the bush attached to the head does not match either, so replacing all of them would incur a considerable amount of processing costs.
We decided to replace only the one that was broken.

While similar pegs may be available from manufacturers like GOTOH, pegs with unique shapes like this one are difficult to replace.
Manufacturers should either offer replacement parts through their own sales channels or use parts that can be purchased commercially.

Bacchus SG PU交換 Dimarzio DP103

バッカス製SGのPU交換です。

フロントをディマジオDP103に交換です。

ブーミー感が無く響きが綺麗で、歪みでもコード鳴りが綺麗なのでフロントとは思えない使い易さになりました。

フロントをクリア系統にしたい時にお勧めかと思います。
ブーミー感があるフロントが好きな人も多いと思いますが、ブーミー過ぎたりする時の調整にも良いPUと思います。

This is a PU replacement for a Bacchus SG.

The front PU was replaced with a DiMaggio DP103.

It has a beautiful resonance with no boomy feeling, and the distortion has a beautiful chord sound.

I think this is recommended when you want a clear front end.
Many people like a front end with a boomy feel, but I think this PU is also good for adjusting the sound when it is too boomy.

バッカス製テレキャスターのフレットすり合わせ・ナット溝切り調整です。

全体の消耗が大きい状態です。

低価格ながら音質が良いモデルが結構あるので、2～3万円のモデルでもプロでも使用してる方が居ますので値段は音に関係無いです。

フレット消耗をフレットすり合わせで直し、ナット溝切り調整を行いナット高が高い状態を直し弾き易い状態に仕上げました。

テレキャスターもフロントPUが通常と異なるモデルが低価格帯にも多くなってきて選択肢が多くなっておりますので、安い物＝ダメな物と思わず触ってみる事をお勧めします。
音だけは良かったりするモデルも多いので、昔のモデルしか知らない人からしたらびっくりすると思います。

バッカス製ストラトキャスターのセットアップです。

低価格帯でローステッドメイプルのモデルです。

状態に難点があり、ヘッド側にあるトラスロッドのナットへレンチが入らない状態です。
トラスロッドのナットが溝の底面に向いており、通常のトラスロッドレンチではナット穴に入れきれず回す事ができません。
しかも付属しているトラスロッドレンチも入れきれる事ができません。
これはどうやって調整したのか、検品時点ではじかれる個体に思います。

一応は短く加工したトラスロッドレンチでは回す事ができました。

また最初からナットが割れていたりと不具合が多い個体です。
新品購入との事ですが低価格帯とはいえちょっと状態としては酷いのが売っているので楽器店は細かくチェックして販売してほしい所です。

This is a Bacchus Stratocaster setup.

This is a low end, roasted maple model.

It is in difficult condition and the wrench will not fit into the truss rod nut on the head side.
The truss rod nut is facing the bottom of the groove, and a regular truss rod wrench cannot get into the nut hole to turn it.
Moreover, the truss rod wrench that comes with the instrument cannot fit into the nut hole.
I wonder how it was adjusted, and I think it will be rejected at the time of inspection.

I was able to turn the truss rod with a shortened truss rod wrench.

Also, the nut is cracked from the beginning, and there are many defects.
I know it was purchased new, but even though it is in the low price range, it is in a terrible condition and I hope the music store will check it carefully before selling.

Bacchus WOODLINE DX4 ジャズベースセットアップ

バッカス製ウッドラインジャズベースのセットアップです。

かなり大きい順反りで弦高が高く弾き難い状態です。
これではまともに弾く気になれないと思います。

1弦ラインの状態が悪く音詰まり箇所がある状態です。
新品でしたら返品案件ですが、中古購入だとこうした事も度々あるので購入時は念入りにチェックして状態が悪い物を買わない様な努力が必要です。

This is a Bacchus Woodline Jazz Bass setup.

It has a fairly large forward bow and the strings are high and hard to play.
I don’t think you can play it properly with this setup.

The first string line is in bad condition and there are some stuck notes.
If it were brand new, it would be a returnable item, but this is often the case with used instruments, so you need to check carefully and make an effort not to buy one that is in poor condition.

Bacchus WL-4 STD/RSM PU交換＆セットアップローステッドメイプル KENT ARMSTRONG HOTLIPS TUBE JAZZBASS CHROME

バッカス製WL-4のPU交換・セットアップです。

交換するPUは珍しいリップスティック型、ケントアームストロング製リップスティックです。

このモデルはジャズベース用で販売されているモデルですが形状が異なりザグリに入りませんので注意が必要です。
ただ元々パワーがあるPUじゃないので、ザグリに入る位にPU高を下げる必要も無いので問題は起きないのですがザグリに入るつもりで買うと後悔します。

新品購入との事ですが最初からトラスロッドに余裕が無い状態、ネックが柔らかく弦を張るとかなり大きく反ります。
最近はそうした物も多いので要注意です。買う前にトラスロッドの余り量を確認させるのは必須です。
近年のネックは柔らかいので逆に言えば弦を緩めているとトラスロッドの力で簡単に逆反りする可能性も大きくなるので、長持ちさせるには反りに敏感に対応しないといけません。
特にこうした最初からトラスロッドの余裕が無い場合は猶更で、将来の事を考えて扱わないと簡単にトラスロッドが限界になりそこから更に順反りすると直せないので弾き難い状態で使用を続ける事となります。

弦を張りっぱなしで良いとか言ってるリペアマンに仕事を頼まないで下さい。他人の不幸で金を儲ける悪人です。

ケントアームストロング製リップスティックは音はもっさり傾向で音は柔らかいです。
恐らく万人受けはしない音と思いますが他には出ない音とも言い切れます。
一般的なモデルに付いてる事が殆ど無いのも弾いてみて分かる気がします。
人を選ぶPUかと思いますのでこれは実際に使ってみないと難しい判断になると思いますがジャズ等の音楽に合うと思います。
バンドの音としての使用は正直合わないか使い難い事でしょう。

This is a PU replacement and setup for a Bacchus WL-4.

The PU to be replaced is a rare lipstick type, Kent Armstrong lipstick.

This model is sold for jazz basses, but the shape is different and it does not fit in the counterbore.
However, since it is not a powerful PU, there is no need to lower the height of the PU so that it can fit in the counterbore, so there will be no problem.

You said you bought it new, but there is no room in the truss rod from the beginning, and the neck is soft, so it will warp a lot when you put strings on it.
There are many such instruments nowadays, so be careful. It is essential to check the amount of truss rod left before buying.
Necks these days are so soft that, conversely, if the strings are loose, there is a big possibility that the truss rod will easily warp the neck backwards, so you must be sensitive to warping in order to prolong its life.
If the truss rod is not treated with the future in mind, the truss rod will easily reach its limit, and if it warps further, it will continue to be used in a state where it is difficult to play because it cannot be fixed.

Please do not ask a repairman to do your work if he says you can just leave the strings on. They are evil people who make money off of other people’s misfortune.

The Kent Armstrong Lipstick tends to sound sluggish and the tone is soft.
It’s a sound that probably won’t be to everyone’s taste, but it’s also a sound that can’t be found anywhere else.
I can understand why it is rarely attached to general models when I play it.
I think it is a PU that is suitable for jazz and other types of music.
I think it is suitable for jazz and other music, but not for band sound, or it would be difficult to use.

バッカス製ジャズベースのPU交換・セットアップです。

PUをデイマジオ製エリアJに交換です。

音がクリアで柔らかく、元から付いているスイッチポットによるハムバッカー時も音が太過ぎず良いサウンドです。

ディマジオは優秀なPUが多く世界で一番売れているPUメーカーだそうですが、日本ではそうした認知が真逆になる事が多いです。
日本ではセイモアダンカンの方が売れている様な気がしますが、日本は洗脳社会なので良い物が売れていない＆売れない環境です。

ディマジオはギターでも優秀なPUが多いですがベースでも例外ではありません。
PU選びに迷っていて低価格を求めるのであればディマジオは選択肢として効率的です。

バッカス製ストラトキャスターのフレットサイド処理・セットアップです。

低価格帯モデルはどうしてもフレットのサイド処理が甘く、手に当たって痛い等が上げられます。

しかし低価格帯ではコストの面で人が手間暇を掛けないといけない作業は省略・最小限で済ませている事が多い為、この辺りが使用していて気になるなら直さないといけません。
フレットサイド処理が良くできている価格帯は10万円台後半辺りからだと思いますので、実質低価格帯ではフレットサイド処理は良くできていないと判断して問題無いです。

フレットサイド処理を行うと状態が物凄く良くなります。
特に使用してきたなら猶更分かる変化です。まるで別物になります。
それだけフレットサイドは演奏に影響を及ぼす所なので、ここに手間暇を掛けて仕上げるにはちゃんと意味があります。

順反り状態を調整しましたがトラスロッドの余り量が残り少ないです。
こちらはローステッドモデルですが、未だにプロでもリペアマンでも「ローステッドネックは安定して反らない」とかオカルト陰謀論者も多いです。
現実では普通に反りますので、本気でそんな事を言ってるリペアマンに仕事を頼まないで下さい。

音が良いのでフレットサイドの不具合が無くなったこの個体は元が2万円のモデルとは普通に思えないギターに生まれ変わりました。

This is a fret side treatment/setup for a Bacchus Stratocaster.

Low-priced models tend to have poor fret side treatment, which can be painful to the hand.

However, in the low price range, the work that requires a lot of time and effort is often omitted or minimized due to cost, so if this area bothers you, you need to fix it.
The price range where fret side treatment is well done is from the upper 100,000 yen range, so there is no problem in judging that fret side treatment is not well done in the lower price range.

Fret side treatment will improve the condition of the fretboard tremendously.
Especially if you have been using it for a long time, you can see the change. It will be like a different instrument.
Fret side affects the performance so much that it makes sense to spend a lot of time and effort to finish it.

The truss rod has been adjusted, but there is not much left in the truss rod.
This is a low-stud model, but there are still many occult conspiracy theorists among professionals and repairmen who say that low-stud necks are not stable and do not warp.
In reality, they usually warp, so please don’t ask a repairman who seriously says such a thing to do his work.

The sound is good and the fret side defects are gone, and this piece has been reborn as a guitar that does not seem normal for a model originally priced at 20,000 yen.

バッカスジャズベースセットアップ＆ナット溝切り調整

バッカスジャズベースのナット溝切り調整・セットアップです。

ナット高が高く弾き難い状態です。

ナット高が高いとどうしても弾き難くなる事や、低価格帯から高価格帯でもあまり丁寧に仕上げてある事が少ない部分です。
ここが良くなる事でも全体の弾き易さから音も良く変化します。

調整してみた所、音が良いモデルです。

低価格帯だからダメだと思わず、基本的な所をしっかりと仕上げるだけでも見違える様に良くなります。
この辺りの意識が無いと「安物＝ダメな物」から脱却できません。
意外と近年は低価格帯モデルも良く出来ているので、料金的に仕上げられない所を直すだけでも数十万円レベルと同様な物に変化する物あるので中々侮れません。
