オールパーツ製ネック＋MJT製ボディのコンポーネントギターのセットアップです。

大きく順反りして弦高が高く弾き難い状態です。

ジョンメイヤー仕様との事でパーツもそのチョイスがされているとの事です。

ピッキングで鳴らすのが難しいギターで、50年代コモリ系のサウンドですが強めのピッキングで歯切れも良くなったりとピッキングの反応がダイレクトに出る分で上手く弾くのが難しい印象です。

クリーン系のあまり歪まないギターはこうした傾向な事が多いので上級者向けなギターの印象がありますが、弾きこなせれば自分の思い通りのニュアンスが出せて好印象になると思います。

This is a setup for a component guitar featuring an All Parts neck and MJT body.

It has significant forward bowing, resulting in high string action that makes it difficult to play.

It’s specified as a John Mayer model, and the parts were chosen accordingly.

It’s a challenging guitar to pick effectively. While it has a 50s-style warm tone, its direct response to picking pressure—where harder picking yields crisper attack—makes it difficult to play well.

Clean-sounding guitars with minimal distortion often exhibit this tendency, giving it an advanced player’s feel. However, mastering it allows you to achieve precisely the nuances you desire, which should leave a favorable impression.

コンポーネントギターの組み込み依頼です。

別のギターで使用していたオールパーツ製ネックに新たに入手したMJTボディを組み込みする内容です。

前オーナーの組み込みもあまり良くない様で、ネックジョイントビスは元から既にビス穴空けを埋めて直した跡等があります。

ネックポケットに僅かに入らない状態で、後ほんの少しの様な状態でしたので削って入る様にしました。

ネックポケットは非常に重要で、基本はネックができた状態を測ってからネックポケットを掘りますので「ネックに合わせてボディが作られる」という事になります。

つまりは別のボディを付けるという事はズレが発生する可能性を考えないといけません。
例えば元のネックに合わせてボディができているので、別ネックではポケットに入らない事や逆にガバガバになる場合もあります。
そしてボディの各所パーツの位置がズレてしまう等も起きたりします。
基本はネックとボディをセットで購入しないといけません。

ピックガードとコントロールプレートの位置がザグリと少しズレるのでトーンポットが干渉するので小さいポットに交換して対処しました。
ピックガード自体もメーカーによってフェンダー系と大きさが異なるので要注意です。
ボディが穴空け済みの状態になっていると、元のネックに合わせた位置になっていますので新しいネックによっては位置を直す必要なども出てきます。

この様にネックはパーツとの位置関係にも繋がってきますので、完成されたボディに付けるにも辻褄を合わす必要が出てきます。

MJTボディは音が良い様子ですね。

This is a request to build a component guitar.

The request is to build a newly acquired MJT body into an all-parts neck that was used on another guitar.

The previous owner’s installation was not very good, and the neck joint screws had already been filled and repaired.

The neck pocket was slightly missing, and it was just a little bit too close, so we had to shave it down to make it fit.

The neck pocket is very important. Basically, the neck pocket is dug after the neck has been measured, which means that the body is made to fit the neck.

In other words, putting a different body on the neck means that we have to consider the possibility of misalignment.
For example, since the body is made to fit the original neck, a different neck may not fit in the pocket, or on the contrary, it may be too loose.
Also, the position of various parts of the body may become misaligned.
Basically, the neck and body must be purchased as a set.

The pickguard and the control plate are slightly misaligned with the counterbore, which interferes with the tone pot, so I replaced it with a smaller pot to deal with this.
The pickguard itself is also different in size from the Fender type depending on the manufacturer, so be careful.
When the body is pre-drilled, the neck is positioned to match the original neck, so it may be necessary to reposition the neck depending on the new neck.

The neck is also connected to the positional relationship of the parts, so it is necessary to make sure that the neck is in the same position when it is attached to the finished body.

The MJT body seems to sound great.

オールパーツ製ネックとMJTのボディを組み合わせたストラトキャスターのポット交換・セットアップです。

最近はコンポーネントブランドを利用してオリジナルギターを作る事も珍しく無くなりました。現在では一般化しつつある良い選択肢です。

やはり市販品は音があまり良くない・精度が値段と比例しない事・でもそこそこの値段といった難点を感じてくると思います。

低価格のコストで良質なギター・ベースを手に入れたい場合はコンポーネントブランドで組み立てるのがオススメです。

オールパーツ製品もまだ一般的では無いと思いますが結構良い品質なので、ワーモス等の注文が面倒に感じる場合はオールパーツのネック・ボディ、MJTのボディ等は市販品で販売されているのでこれらを購入して組み込むのもオススメです。

パーツ代・組み込み代を考えても20万円以下で納める事ができ、体感として30～40万円レベルのギター・ベースになる可能性があります。
