ジェームスタイラー製スタジオエリートのナット溝切り調整・フレットすり合わせです。

フレットが全体的に消耗とナット高が均一じゃない状態です。

フレットをすり合わせ、ナット溝を削って高さを整え弾き易く仕上げました。

弾けば消耗していくのでフレットは凹みが見えてきたらすり合わせした方が良い状態です。

ナット高はメーカー精度が大きく出る為、高価なメーカーでもそこまで良い仕上がりになっていない事も多いです。
4～6弦等の巻き弦はアームを使用すると削れて消耗する為、長く使っていると4～6弦が低くなり主にプレーン弦の高さが目立ってきます。

Nut slot adjustment and fret leveling for a James Tyler Studio Elite.

The frets show overall wear, and the nut height is uneven.

We leveled the frets and shaved the nut slots to even out the height, resulting in a more playable finish.

Since frets wear down with playing, it’s best to level them once you start seeing visible grooves.

Nut height often shows significant manufacturer variation, so even high-end brands don’t always achieve perfect consistency.
Wound strings (4th-6th) wear down faster when using the tremolo arm, so over time the 4th-6th strings become lower, making the plain string height more noticeable.

ジェームスタイラー製スタジオエリートの配線直し・セットアップです。

楽器屋の中古購入との事ですがトーンが効かない状態、内部をチェックしてみると配線が非常に雑に作業されています。

中古品とはいえ高額なモデルなのですが楽器店でもチェックの上で問題無いとの事で購入しているので中々びっくりする売り方を今でも行っている様子です。

ポット3つを交換、スイッチの箇所にハンダ不良個所があり直しました。
ハンダ不良個所は引っ張って配線が抜けるレベルの仕上がりなので、楽器屋の方では確実に内部をチェックしていない事は分かりました。

弾き易く音が良いモデルで、音抜けが良くリアはタップ時の音も良く扱い易いです。

James Tyler Studio Elite wiring repair and setup.

Purchased used from a music store, but the tone control wasn’t working. Upon checking the internals, the wiring was extremely sloppy.

Even though it’s a used item, it’s a high-end model. The store checked it and said it was fine before selling it, so it’s pretty shocking they still do business this way.

Replaced three pots. Fixed solder defects at the switch points.
The solder defects were so poor that pulling on the wires caused them to come loose, clearly indicating the music store did not thoroughly inspect the interior.

It’s an easy-to-play model with great sound. It projects well, and the rear pickup sounds excellent when tapped, making it very manageable.
