  • クルーズマニアックサウンド製ボトムアップ23のセットアップ・ジャック交換です。

    見た目はヴィンテージタイプだと思っていたら音がトレブリーでモダン系寄りなサウンド個体です。

    モダン系な音がタイトサウンドなので、歪みを中心としたハッキリと音を聴かせる演奏向きな個体です。

    カッチリとしている音クリアサウンドですので、見た目と音はかなりギャップがあります。

    It looks like a vintage type, but the sound is trebly and modern sounding.

  • ブラックスモーカー製トラッドマスターのセットアップです。

    状態を確認すると1弦3フレットに音詰まりがありました（4フレットが浮いて高い状態）。

    フレット自体は詳しくは私の過去動画（フレット交換に関する動画）やブログ記事を参考にしてほしいですが、多くのリペアショップでも変な知識がある様子です。
    フレットはどんなに綺麗に打っても所詮は素材が安定しているとは言えない木材に打ち込むので、縮小や膨張により変形でフレット浮きを防止するのは難しいと思います。

    しかし対策として接着剤を流し込む等の一手間を加えれば長期間の使用でも変化は何もしていない物より小さくできるはずです。
    ただしこれら手間暇も通常の生産ラインには難しい（手間が掛かる＝コストが掛かるから）です。

    細かい話ですがフレット浮きは高額な物でも発生する場合がある事を覚えていて下さい。

    そして切られたフレット溝よりもフレット本体の大きい爪を引っ掛けてフレットが固定される訳ですが、この辺りが曖昧になっているリペアショップが多いです。
    溝幅には国産サイズ・USAサイズとありますが、それさえ問題無ければどんなフレットでも入るかの様にしているお店が非常に多いのが危険です。
    木材は剛性に個体差もあれば溝状態が全然異なります。
    つまりはこの辺りを正しく把握して打ち込まれていないと抜け易いという事にもなります。
    フレットのトラブルはどれだけ「丁寧に考えて組み込んだか？」が重要になります。

    調整してみると音が良く、リアはハイゲイン？な物が付いている様子です。
    モダン系として扱い易い個体でした。

    This is a Blacksmoker Tradmaster setup.

    Upon checking the condition, there was a sound blockage on the 3rd fret of the 1st string (4th fret was floating high).

    For more information about the frets themselves, please refer to my past videos (videos on fret replacement) and blog posts, but even many repair stores seem to have strange knowledge about them.
    No matter how nicely the frets are driven into the wood, the material is not stable after all, so it is difficult to prevent the frets from floating due to deformation caused by shrinkage and expansion.

    However, if some effort is made to prevent this, such as pouring glue into the fretboard, it should be possible to reduce the change in the fretboard over a long period of time compared to a fretboard with no glue.
    However, these measures are also difficult to implement in a normal production line (because they require a lot of time and effort = high cost).

    This is a minor detail, but please keep in mind that fret lift can occur even on expensive instruments.

    The fret is held in place by a nail that is larger than the fret groove that has been cut, but many repair stores are unclear on this point.
    There are Japanese and USA sizes for the groove width, but it is dangerous that many stores think that any fret can be fretted as long as there is no problem.
    The wood has individual differences in rigidity, and the groove condition is completely different.
    In other words, if this area is not properly understood and the frets are not hammered in, they will easily fall out.
    The problem with frets is how carefully and thoughtfully the fretboard is installed. It is very important to know how carefully the fretboard was installed.

    The sound is good after adjustment. It seems to have a high gain in the rear.
    It was easy to handle as a modern type.

  • Kramer JK1000 PU交換＆Dチューナー取り付け＆セットアップ EVH wolfgang Bridge Pickup

    クレーマー製JK1000のPU交換・Dチューナー増設です。

    中古購入ですが状態が良いです。

    交換するPUはEVH製ウルフギャングです。

    元のPUを外してみるとPUザグリが浅く、スポンジを使わない直付け仕様でした。
    交換後も弦にPUがかなり近い状態です。

    スポンジを使用しないPUの取り付けは音がタイトになり歪み系が綺麗に分離良く鳴ってくれるのでメリットがありますが、PUによりパワーや音の拾い具合にも差が大きいので取り付けるPUの適切な高さを知った上で計算したザグリにしないといけません。
    過去に自分のギターベース製作でも行っている方法です。
    決まってしまえば非常に良くなりますがPU交換を行う等をするとそのザグリとPUのパワーとでバランスが崩れてしまいます。

    分離が良く歪ませても音の粒が良い。
    弦がPUに近いので当然ながら出音もパワフルです。
    このギターはスイッチポットによりパラレルにできる仕様となっていた事から、コイルタップではなく元と同じくパラレルで配線する事となりました。
    出力が高いシングルコイルの様な音でこちらもかなり良いです。

    意外とハムバッカーはコイルタップよりもパラレル配線の方が音が良いので、コイルタップはもう時代遅れなのかもしれません。
    これらも結局は使ってみて音が良いものを選択する様にしましょう。

    This is a PU replacement and D-tuner addition for a Cramer JK1000.

    It was purchased used but in good condition.

    The PU to be replaced is an EVH Wolfgang.

    When we removed the original PU, we found that the PU counterbore was shallow and directly attached without using a sponge.
    After the replacement, the PU is still very close to the strings.

    However, there is a big difference in power and sound pickup depending on the PU, so it is necessary to know the proper height of the PU to be installed and to make a calculated counterbore.
    This is a method I have used in the past for my own guitar bass production.
    Once it is fixed, it is very good, but if you replace the PU, the balance will be lost between the counterbore and the power of the PU.

    The separation is good and the grain of the sound is good even when distorted.
    The strings are close to the PU, so the sound is naturally powerful.
    Since this guitar was designed to be parallel by the switch pot, it was decided to wire it in parallel as the original, instead of coil tapping.
    The sound is like a single coil with high output, which is also quite good.

    Surprisingly, parallel wiring sounds better than coil-tap wiring for humbuckers, so coil-tap wiring may be outdated.
    In the end, try to use these and choose the ones that sound good.

  • フジゲン製ストラトキャスターのセットアップです。

    ダンカンPUが付いたコストパフォーマンスが高い機種ですね。

    順反りして弾き難い状態を調整しました。

    調整する事で音も良く弾き易くなりました。
    フジゲン製は低価格帯でもしっかりと精度が高く作られており、トラスロッドも良く効くのでフェンダー等と比べたら反り調整の範囲は下手すると2～3倍は違うかもしれません。

    こうしたモデルも数万円で購入できるので、フジゲン製はコストパフォーマンスが高いです。
    中古市場も値付けが甘いというか、比較的安価で状態が良い物を手に入れられる印象があります。

    This is a Fujigen Stratocaster setup.

    It is a cost-effective model with Duncan PU.

    Fujigen’s low-priced models are made with high precision and the truss rod works well, so the range of warp adjustment may be two or three times larger than Fender’s. These models can be purchased for several tens of thousands of yen.

    Since these models can be purchased for tens of thousands of yen, Fujigen’s products have a high cost-performance ratio.
    I have the impression that the used market is also not so pricey, or you can get one in good condition at a relatively low price.

    ヘリテイジ製レスポールの配線直し・セットアップです。

    ギブソンよりもギブソン、ギブソンを購入されるならヘリテイジを購入する事をお勧めします。

    1Vo1Toに配線変更依頼です。
    お客様持ち込みエキゾチックのスムースボリュームに交換しました。

    ＰＵがベアナックルのミュールが付いているそうです。
    こちらの個体は音が綺麗で国産のギターの様な繊細な響きをします。

    調整してみるとトラスロッドの余り量が元から少なく、残り180°程度しか回せない状態でした。
    調整してみたらトラスロッドが限界状態です。

    中古品は購入時にトラスロッドの余り量を確認した上で購入しないといけません。
    楽器屋等も将来どうなるか？まで考えて販売しておりません。
    今の現在でトラブルが起きていないならトラスロッドに余裕が少ない・限界状態だったとしても平気で表記無く販売しています。

    弦を張る以上は基本順反りしますので、その際に調整できる余裕が充分に無いと長持ちできません。

    高額な楽器程、長く使い続ける為にもトラスロッドの余り量を確認させた上で購入する様にしましょう。

    This is a rewiring request to 1Vo1To.
    Replaced with a customer brought exotic smooth volume.

    The PU has a bare knuckle mule on it.
    This unit has a beautiful sound and it sounds delicate like a domestic guitar.

    When we adjusted the truss rod, we found that the amount of truss rod left was originally small, and it could only be turned about 180 degrees.
    After adjustment, the truss rod is at its limit.

    When purchasing a used instrument, you need to check the amount of truss rod remaining before buying it.
    Musical instrument stores do not consider what will happen to the instrument in the future. If there are no problems at the present time, then there is no need to buy a used instrument.
    If there is no trouble at the present time, they are not concerned if the truss rod has little room or is at the limit of its capacity, and they sell it without any indication.

    If there is not enough room to adjust the truss rod in such a case, the instrument will not last for a long time.

    The more expensive the instrument is, the more you should make sure you have enough truss rod to last a long time before you buy it.

  • フェンダーカスタムショップ製ストラトキャスターのセットアップです。

    順反りして弾き難い状態です。

    ネック反りを調整して弾き易くなりました。

    フェンダー系はトラスロッドの効きが悪い為、少し回す程度ではあまり反りが変化しませんので多めに回す意識で調整した方が上手くいきます。
    つまりはトラスロッド限界にも近くなるので、弦を緩めて湿度を良い数値に管理していないと長持ちできないとも言えます。

    アビゲイルイバラＰＵが付いているそうで、ストラトらしさは勿論ですが音抜けも良くコード鳴りも良い個体でした。

    This is a Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster setup.

    It is hard to play due to forward warp.

    The neck warp has been adjusted to make it easier to play.

    Fender Stratocaster has a bad truss rod, so you can’t change the warp by turning the truss rod a little bit.
    In other words, it is close to the truss rod limit, so it is necessary to loosen the strings and control the humidity to a good value to make it last longer.

    It has an Abigail Ibarra PU, and of course it has a Strat-like sound, but it also has a good sound through and good chord sound.

  • バッカスジャズベースのナット溝切り調整・セットアップです。

    ナット高が高く弾き難い状態です。

    ナット高が高いとどうしても弾き難くなる事や、低価格帯から高価格帯でもあまり丁寧に仕上げてある事が少ない部分です。
    ここが良くなる事でも全体の弾き易さから音も良く変化します。

    調整してみた所、音が良いモデルです。

    低価格帯だからダメだと思わず、基本的な所をしっかりと仕上げるだけでも見違える様に良くなります。
    この辺りの意識が無いと「安物＝ダメな物」から脱却できません。
    意外と近年は低価格帯モデルも良く出来ているので、料金的に仕上げられない所を直すだけでも数十万円レベルと同様な物に変化する物あるので中々侮れません。

    The nut height is high and difficult to play.

    I have adjusted this model and found that it has a good sound.

    If you don’t have an awareness in this area, you will not be able to get rid of “cheap = bad”.
    Surprisingly, low-priced models are also well made in recent years, and just by fixing the parts that cannot be finished due to the price, they can be transformed into something similar to the several hundred thousand yen level, so they are not to be underestimated.

    フェンダーUSA製ストラトキャスターのセットアップです。

    これはご自身で改造された物？元からこの仕様？なのか不明ですが珍しいスプリングの仕様です。

    また古いエリッククラプトンモデル？と思っていたらパッシブ仕様のモデルです。

    通常のトーンが真ん中にあり、TBXトーンがセンターとリアに効く様に配線されています。
    恐らく中身もイジられていそうです。

    音は良いが状態悪いです。
    元からトラスロッドの余裕が無く大きく順反りしており、ロッドを限界まで回しても少し順反り気味です。
    弾けなくはないが全体的に弦高が高くチョーキングで音詰まる所があるのですり合わせ等は行った方が良いかもしれません。

    ただトラスロッド限界状態で弦を張ると少し順反り状態なので、直して使い続ける事を考えるとネックはダメそうとも判断できます。
    本当はこうした状態にならない様に日々弦を緩めて保管しておかないといけませんが、中古入手ではトラスロッドの余り量が多い物を見つけて買う事が重要です。

    This is a Fender USA Stratocaster setup.

    Is this something you modified yourself? Or was it originally made this way? It is unknown if this is the original setup or not, but it is a very rare spring setup.

    Another old Eric Clapton model? I thought it was an old Eric Clapton model, but it is a passive model.

    The normal tone is in the middle, and the TBX tone is wired to the center and rear.
    It looks like the inside has probably been messed with as well.

    It sounds good but is in poor condition.
    The truss rod is bent forward a lot, and even when the rod is turned to the limit, it is still bent forward a little.
    It is not unplayable, but the overall string height is high and there are places where the sound gets stuck when chalking, so it may be better to do some adjustments.

    However, when the strings are stretched at the limit of the truss rod, the neck is a little warped, so it is possible to judge that the neck is not good enough to continue to use it.
    I really need to keep the strings loose daily to avoid this condition, but it is important to find and buy a used one with a large amount of truss rod left over.

  • ギブソン製レスポールのトグルスイッチ交換です。

    EMGに交換されているモデルです。

    フロントPUの音が出ないとの事で持ち込まれました。

    トグル不良によりフロントの音が出ない事が分かり交換しました。
    交換後は問題無く音が出る状態となりました。

    現行品のEMGはコネクタ仕様なので配線をミスしていなければ基本簡単に音が出せる状態にできると思いますが、組み込み時に交換しない部分としてトグルやセレクター等のPU切り替え部だけはEMGへ組み込み時に交換しない人も多いパーツかと思いますのでココがトラブルになる事が多い印象です。
    パーツを交換する際は全て新品パーツに交換していた方が無難です。
    特にジャック・セレクターはギターを使用する上で消耗が大きいパーツとなりますので、EMG等の殆ど全てのパーツを交換する上でここだけは元の物を使用するのは消耗具合が違う事からトラブルになり易いので全て交換する様にしましょう。

    This is a Gibson Les Paul toggle switch replacement.

    This model has been replaced with EMG.

    It was brought in because the front PU was not producing any sound.

    We found out that the front sound was not coming out due to a defective toggle switch and replaced it.
    After the replacement, the sound came out without any problem.

    However, I think that the PU switching parts such as the toggle and selector are the only parts that many people do not replace when installing EMGs. I have the impression that this is the part that often causes problems.
    It is safer to replace all parts with new parts when replacing parts.
