    フラートーン製テレキャスターのPU交換・セットアップです。

    PUをフェンダー製テキサススペシャルに交換です。

    音が太くなりフロントとリアの音量バランスも良いサウンドになりました。
    元のフロントがモッサリめのサウンドでしたが音抜けが良い方向に寄ってる傾向になりました。

    リアも硬く無く太くなるので元のリンディフレーリンよりは好評の様子です。
    ヴィンテージタイプ過ぎるサウンドも現代ではあまり好まない人も居ると思うので、多少アレンジが加わったPUの方が現代人は好むかもしれません。

    This is a pickup replacement and setup for a Flautone Telecaster.

    The pickups were replaced with Fender Texas Specials.

    The tone became fuller, and the volume balance between the front and rear pickups improved for a better sound.
    The original front pickup had a somewhat muddy sound, but the tone now leans towards better projection.

    The bridge pickup also gained body without sounding harsh, making it more popular than the original Lindy Fralin.
    Some people today might not prefer a sound that’s too vintage-oriented, so a pickup with a bit of modern tweak might be more to their taste.

  • テイラー製314CEのセットアップです。

    2007年頃のモデルでトラスロッドに余裕が少なく、トップも浮き始めており弦高が高い状態です。

    調整でトラスロッド限界、テイラーとしては弦高が高めだが弾けるレベルではあります。

    11-52弦を使用していてこの状態なので、12-53等を張ればネックは今よりも順反りしトップも持ち上がるので弦高が上がり弾き難い状態になる事と思います。

    こうした状態のアコギは細い弦を張るだけでも弦高が下げられる事になります。

    弦を張りっぱなしにしていればこの様な状態になるので、楽器を長持ちさせたければどのギターも弾かない時は弦を緩めないといけません。

    Setup for a Taylor 314CE.

    This is a model from around 2007 with limited truss rod adjustment range. The top is starting to lift, resulting in high string action.

    Adjustments have reached the truss rod’s limit. While the string action is on the high side for a Taylor, it remains playable.

    Since it’s in this condition with 11-52 strings, using 12-53 or similar would likely cause the neck to bow more than it does now and lift the top, increasing the string height and making it harder to play.

    For an acoustic guitar in this state, simply using thinner strings can lower the string height.

    Leaving strings on like this will result in this condition. To make any guitar last longer, you must loosen the strings when not playing.

  • J.W.Black製JWB-Tのピックガード交換・セットアップです。

    元から付属しているピックガードに交換です。

    フロントは元からP-90が入りそうなザグリが空いており、内部はチェンバー加工の様子で軽いボディです。

    音が柔らかくリアはキンキンしないサウンドで扱い易いです。

    新品ですが虎目ネックで順反りしているので調整し弾き易く仕上げました。

    カーリーメイプルの模様は硬い部分と柔らかい部分が交互になった杢目なのでネック剛性面では不利になります。
    ネック反りの安定感に影響してきますので自分で微調整できないと反りの変化で弾き易さが変わる事が多いと思います。

    Pickguard replacement and setup for a J.W.Black JWB-T.

    Replaced with the original pickguard that came with the guitar.

    The front has a pre-drilled slot suitable for a P-90 pickup, and the body appears chambered internally, making it lightweight.

    The tone is soft, and the bridge pickup produces a non-harsh sound, making it easy to handle.

    Although new, the neck has a tiger-eye grain pattern and a forward bow, so it was adjusted for playability.

    The curly maple grain features alternating hard and soft sections, which can be disadvantageous for neck rigidity.
    This affects the stability of the neck’s curvature. If you can’t perform minor adjustments yourself, changes in the neck’s bow often alter playability.

  • ギブソンカスタムショップ製レスポールカスタムのポット交換・セットアップです。

    チューンOマチック、クルーソン純正テールピースを交換して調整が変になったとの事で持ち込まれました。

    ブリッジサドルの台座を回すのが硬い状態です。恐らくブリッジスタッド穴のピッチが正しく合っていない様子です。

    ボリュームポットにガリで音が出なくなるので交換、ポットがボディ穴が小さく嚙んでいて交換が大変でした。
    パーツは基本的に木材に噛んではいけません。スカスカなのが正常です。
    こちらは交換されていないので純正パーツ、製造時にこうなっている事になりますがビス穴に無理矢理ポットが付いています。

    音が良いモデルで、太く音抜け良く非常に良いサウンド。
    またハイレンジで音が良いのでフロントでもリアでも良好なサウンドです。

    レスポールも重さ等で大きく音が変わるので、アタリ個体を手に入れたら手放さない方が良いでしょう。

    Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Custom pot replacement and setup.

    Brought in because tuning became erratic after replacing the Tune-O-Matic and Kluson original tailpiece.

    The bridge saddle base is stiff to turn. Likely due to incorrect pitch in the bridge stud holes.

    The volume pot was causing crackling and loss of sound, so it was replaced. The pot was tightly seated in the body hole, making replacement difficult.
    Parts should generally not grip the wood tightly. Loose fit is normal.
    This one hadn’t been replaced, so it’s an original part. It appears to have been manufactured this way, with the pot forced into the screw hole.

    This is a great-sounding model with a thick, well-projected tone.
    It also excels in the high range, delivering excellent sound whether using the front or rear pickup.

    Les Pauls can vary significantly in tone due to weight and other factors, so if you find a good one, it’s best not to let it go.

    ベースでも定番になりつつあるハイエンドブランドですが、音質も弾き易さも高い水準なのでまず良い物が多いです。

    順反りし弾き難い状態をセットアップし弾き易い状態に仕上げる事ができました。

    ベースでEMGは非常に優秀で、癖無く馴染み易いサウンドが作り易いのでお勧めです。

    新品購入ですがアウトレット品（詳細は不明）との事です。

    センターズレが起こっており、弦落ちし易いとの事で直しました。

    高額なモデルでも意外とネックポケットが広かったりしますので、ネックのセンターズレ等は高額なモデルでも起こっていたりします。
    本来は楽器屋で調整した状態で販売するのですが、近年は楽器屋の従業員も素人が増えてきているので気が付かずに販売するケースも多くなっています。

    そしてびっくりなのは新品なのにトラスロッドの差し込み口がナメっている状態です。
    これがアウトレット品として販売されていた理由？かもしれませんが購入したお客様には購入時の説明は一切無かったとの事です。

    アウトレット品は本当に注意が必要で、楽器屋でも特に理由を明記して販売する事はありません。
    なので知識を持って「何が理由で安くなっているのか？」を聞いた方が良いです。
    基本的に安くなる理由があるはずです。

    ナメっているのですがロッドを回す事はできたのですが恐らく力加減が分からないとナメって回せなくなる状態かと思います。

    トラスロッドの余り量も少ない状態です。
    近年は新品でも最初からトラスロッドの余り量が少ない事が非常に多くなったので、そうした状態の楽器は基本的に長持ちしないと思った方が良いでしょう。

    Setup for a Fender USA Jazz Bass V.

    Purchased new, but reportedly an outlet item (details unknown).

    The center was off, causing strings to drop easily, so I fixed it.

    What’s surprising is that even though it’s new, the truss rod socket is stripped.
    This might be why it was sold as an outlet item? However, the customer who bought it said they received no explanation at the time of purchase.

    Outlet items truly require caution; even music stores rarely specify the exact reason for discounting them.
    Therefore, it’s wise to ask knowledgeable staff, “What’s the reason for the discount?”
    There’s usually a reason behind the lower price.

    Although the rod was stripped, it could still be turned. However, without knowing the correct amount of force, it would likely become impossible to turn without stripping it further.

    The truss rod also has very little adjustment range left.
    In recent years, even new instruments often come with minimal truss rod adjustment range from the factory. Instruments in this condition generally won’t last very long.

  • アイバニーズ製プレステ－ジAZ2402のセットアップです。

    ローステッドメイプルのモデルです。

    新品購入との事ですがトラスロッドの余り量が少ない状態です。

    近年はローステッドメイプルモデルのトラスロッドの余り量が少ない事が非常に多いので購入時は要注意です。

    最初から「トラスロッドの余り量が少ない」という意味は「順反りが大きい（元のネック反りが大きい）のを直した状態」という事です。
    もしくは「ネックが柔らかい」ので弦を張っただけで「大きく順反りする」ので、調整の為だけに多くのトラスロッドを使用する事から少ない、この2パターンです。
    どちらにしても長い目を見たら長持ちしない状態と言えるので、購入時にトラスロッドの余り量が多い物を購入するという事は上記の難点が無いネックと判断できるので買う側としてはメリットが大きいです。
    逆に上記の状態を購入してしまうと長持ちしない状態と言えるので損する形となります。

    必ず購入前に楽器屋でその場で状態をチェックさせ、実際に問題が無い事を見せてもらってから購入しましょう。

    弾き易く音が良い個体でした。

    Setup for the Ibanez Prestige AZ2402.

    This is the Roasted Maple model.

    Although purchased new, the truss rod has very little adjustment range left.

    In recent years, it’s become very common for Roasted Maple models to have limited truss rod adjustment range, so be cautious when purchasing.

    “Limited truss rod adjustment range” from the start means either:
    1. The neck was adjusted to correct significant forward bow (large original neck bow).
    2. The neck is soft, causing significant forward bow just from string tension, requiring substantial truss rod adjustment for correction.
    Either way, this indicates a condition unlikely to last long-term. Therefore, purchasing a guitar with ample truss rod adjustment range upfront allows you to judge the neck as free from these issues, offering significant benefits to the buyer.
    Conversely, purchasing a guitar in the above condition means acquiring a neck unlikely to last, resulting in a disadvantageous purchase.

    Always have the condition checked on-site at the music store before buying. Ensure they demonstrate there are no actual problems before making your purchase.

    It was an easy-to-play instrument with great tone.

  • バッカス製SWL4のナット溝切り調整・セットアップです。

    ローステッドメイプルのモデルです。

    2～5弦を張ってLowB仕様に変更です。4弦ベースで5弦ベースの様に使用したい際にお勧めです。

    トラスロッドに殆ど余裕が無く、近年のローステッドメイプルネックのモデルは新品時でもトラスロッドの余り量が極端に少ない事が多いです。

    ナット溝も元の溝切り精度が悪く（溝がV字）、元のナット溝高も低いので完全に綺麗に切るのは難しいですが太い弦が入る程度には切る事ができました。

    スイッチポットによりハムバッカー時の音が良いモデルです。
    配線によりシングル2個を直列にできハムバッカーとして使用できるので、PUによっては音質も大きく変化するので面白いと思います。

    Nut slot adjustment and setup for the Bacchus SWL4.

    This is the Roasted Maple model.

    Strings 2 through 5 are installed, converting it to a Low B specification. Recommended when you want to use a 4-string bass like a 5-string bass.

    There is almost no truss rod adjustment room. Recent Roasted Maple neck models often have extremely limited truss rod adjustment even when new.

    The original nut slot precision was poor (V-shaped groove), and the original nut slot height was low, making a perfectly clean cut difficult. However, I was able to cut it enough to accommodate thicker strings.

    This model features switchable humbucker mode for improved sound.
    The wiring allows two single-coil pickups to be connected in series for humbucker operation. Depending on the pickups, this can significantly change the tone, which I find interesting.

    ローステッドメイプルのモデルです。

    新品購入との事ですが最初からトラスロッドの余裕が殆ど無い状態です。

    最近のローステッドメイプルモデルは最初から大きく順反りしてトラスロッドの余り量が少ない事が非常に多いので購入はお勧めできません。

    調整する事で弾き易い状態に仕上げる事ができました。

    音が良く1～5弦がバランス良くしっかり鳴るので音質面はかなり良いです。

    こうした状態なだけに音も良く弾き易い状態ですが長持ちする意味で不安しかありませんので、購入時は私が発信している方法で楽器屋に状態を詳しくその場で確認させているのを見て買わないと自分が損します。

    It’s a Roasted Maple model.

    Although it was purchased new, the truss rod had almost no adjustment range from the start.

    Recent Roasted Maple models often come with significant forward bowing and very little truss rod slack, so I cannot recommend purchasing them.

    Adjustments were made to achieve a playable state.

    The sound is excellent, with strings 1 through 5 resonating well and balanced, making the tonal quality quite good.

    Given this condition, it sounds great and plays well, but I have nothing but concerns about its longevity. When purchasing, you should have the shop thoroughly check the condition on the spot using the method I’ve shared. Otherwise, you’ll be the one losing out.

  • フェンダージャパン製ハマオカモト、プレシジョンベースのセットアップです。

    新品25年製ですが最初からトラスロッドの余裕が少ない状態、弦高がいい加減で弦高が低い所・高い所とあり調整不良が目立ちます。

    調整する事で弾き易くなり、音が良く弾き易い個体です。

    ネックが通常のプレべより細い仕様の様子で、ペグのノブ形状がノーマルと違う様子です。

    ジャズベースよりは太いネックとなるので程好いバランスをしているネックが好印象です。

    This is a setup for a Fender Japan Hamakamoto Precision Bass.

    It’s a new 2025 model, but it had limited truss rod adjustment range from the start. The string height was inconsistent, with some areas too low and others too high, showing noticeable poor adjustment.

    Adjusting it makes it easier to play, resulting in a better-sounding, more playable instrument.

    The neck appears to be slimmer than a standard Precision Bass, and the tuning peg knobs have a different shape than normal.

    Compared to a Jazz Bass, the neck is thicker, creating a well-balanced feel that leaves a favorable impression.
