  • アイバニーズ製SR405のセットアップです。

    大きく順反りし弾き難い状態です。

    アイバニーズ製の低価格帯もちゃんと調整さえすれば弾き易く音も良いのですが、新品でも個体差により長持ちが期待できない物も多く存在します。
    こればかりは近年の木材が柔らか過ぎなので、その辺りも考えて物を買わないと完全に短期間の消耗品となってしまいます。

    調整後はトラスロッドに余裕が殆ど無い状態になりました。
    5弦ベースは張力が強いので基本的にトラスロッドの余り量は少なくなる傾向になります。

    張力が強いので弦を張るだけで大きく順反りします。
    そこをトラスロッドで調整するので多く回す必要があり、木材が柔らかいとその分大きく順反りします。
    酷い場合はネック自体は真っ直ぐだが弦を張ると大きく順反りする→トラスロッドを限界まで回してやっと真っ直ぐに調整できる物も多くなってきました。
    リペアマンでもバカが多いですが、弦を張りっぱなしで良いとか言ってる人は避けて下さい。
    現実を知らな過ぎか、間違った情報を教えて客に楽器を壊させて買い替えや修理で儲ける事しか考えていません。

    5弦ベースを購入するなら補強材が入っている物を買うと長持ちし易いです。
    当たり前ですが買う際にトラスロッドの余り量を必ず確認して下さい。
    5弦ベースに限らず新品初期状態で「トラスロッドの余り量が少ない＝木材が柔らかく長持ちさせるには不向き」と考えて間違いありません。

    音が良く弾き易いモデルです。
    トラスロッドの余り量的に安心して使用し続けられる状態ではありませんが弦は緩めて保管する・加湿を行い乾燥させない様にする事でこれ以上反らない様にする努力が必要です。

    This is an Ibanez SR405 setup.

    It is hard to play because of the large forward bow.

    Ibanez low-priced guitars are easy to play and sound good as long as they are properly adjusted, but there are many new guitars that cannot be expected to last long due to individual differences.

    After the adjustment, there is almost no room left in the truss rod.
    The truss rod has little room to spare because of the high tension of a 5-string bass.

    Since the tension is so strong, just by stretching the strings, a large amount of forward bending will occur.
    The truss rod must be turned a lot to adjust the tension, and if the wood is soft, this will cause a large amount of forward bowing.
    In the worst case, the neck itself is straight, but when the strings are stretched, the neck warps greatly, and many of them can only be adjusted straight by turning the truss rod to the limit.
    There are many repairmen who are idiots, but please avoid those who say that it is OK to leave the strings on.
    They are either too ignorant of reality, or they only think about making money by giving wrong information and making customers break their instruments to buy replacements or repairs.

    If you buy a 5-string bass, buy one with reinforcement so it will last longer.
    Of course, you should always check the amount of truss rod left when you buy a bass.
    Not only 5-string basses, but you can be sure that “a small amount of truss rod left over” in the initial state of a new bass means that the wood is soft and not suitable for a long life.

    This model has a good sound and is easy to play.
    The amount of truss rod left is not enough to keep it in good condition, but you need to make an effort to keep it from warping any further by keeping the strings loose and humidifying it to prevent it from drying out.

    フェンダーカスタムショップ製ストラトキャスターのサドル交換・セットアップです。

    今回はハイウッド製サドルに交換です。

    元よりも音が太くなる印象はありますが特別凄く音が良くなる訳ではない印象です。

    サドル単体でも高額なパーツなので余裕が無いと買い難いパーツですがビス頭が突き出てこない意味では扱い易いかもしれません。

    サドルもピッチ（幅）があるので、幅を狭くしたりする際にもサドル交換はお勧めです。
    特に古い年代モデル仕様はピッチが広い（11.3ｍｍ）と指板サイド近くに1弦が寄るので弦落ちし易くなる事も多くなります。
    なので人によってはサドル幅を小さくする為にサドル交換を行う事も知っておくと自分のギターを弾き易く簡単にカスタムできるのでお勧めです。

    This is a saddle replacement and setup for a Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster.

    This time, we replaced the saddle with a high wood saddle.

    The sound is thicker than the original, but it does not sound better.

    The saddle itself is an expensive part, so it is difficult to buy unless you can afford it, but it may be easier to handle in the sense that the screw heads do not stick out.

    Saddles also have a pitch (width), so replacing the saddle is recommended when narrowing the width.
    Especially for older models, if the pitch is wide (11.3mm), the first string will be closer to the side of the fretboard, which will often cause the strings to fall off.
    Therefore, it is recommended that you know that some people may need to change the saddle to reduce the width of the saddle so that they can easily customize their guitar to make it easier to play.

    ギブソン製ファイヤーバードのPU交換・セットアップです。

    お客様持ち込みのダンカンカスタムショップPUに交換しました。
    ミニハムは選択肢が少ないので限られた物で交換する他ありません。

    音が柔らかく扱い易いサウンド、テレキャスターを良くした様なサウンド傾向です。
    キャラクターが大きく変化した様な印象です。ミニハムはどうしても癖強なサウンド傾向かと思いますがその辺りが緩和され扱い易くなったので使用できる音が増えた印象です。

    This is a Gibson Firebird PU replacement and setup.

    We replaced it with a Duncan Custom Shop PU brought in by the customer.
    There are only a few choices of mini hums, so we had to replace it with a limited number of them.

    The sound is soft and easy to handle.
    I have the impression that the character has changed a lot. I think the mini-ham has a tendency to sound habitual, but now it is easier to handle, so I have the impression that the number of usable sounds has increased.

  • ヤマハ製SFX-1の配線直し・セットアップです。

    ブースター搭載のモデルで音が急に小さく鳴ったりする様子です。

    元のジャック配線が（黒アース・白が電池アース・赤がホット線）でややこしい配線となっております。

    配線をお客様の要望でブースターを外し1Vo仕様に変更しました。

    中古品で購入されたとの事ですが間違ったビスが付いている箇所があり、木ネジが使われててビス山が壊れている箇所があります。
    中古品は前オーナーの素人イジリで壊れている事も多いので、現在は入手できないパーツ等に破損が起こっていると厄介です。

    歪ませると音が太くレンジが広い、ディマジオのモデルにある様なサウンドでした。

    トラスロッドが限界近いので弾いた後は弦を緩め保管していないと将来的に厳しい状態です。

    This is a rewiring and setup of a Yamaha SFX-1.

    It is a model with a booster and the sound suddenly becomes quiet.

    The original jack wiring (black ground, white battery ground, and red hot wire) is complicated.

    We changed the wiring to 1Vo specification by removing the booster at the customer’s request.

    The screws are used wood screws, and the screw threads are broken.
    Used instruments are often damaged due to amateur tinkering by the previous owner, so it is troublesome if parts that are not currently available are damaged.

    When distorted, the sound is fat and has a wide range, like a DiMaggio model.

    The truss rod is near its limit, so after playing it, you need to loosen the strings and store it, otherwise it will be in a tough condition in the future.

    かなり音が良い個体でした。
    ギブソンのレスポールはカラーで音が決まる訳はありませんがハニーバーストのモデルは音が良い物が多い様な気もします。

    塗装も多少は厚みにより音に変化を与えるので、同じ色を使用しバースト部分を濃くする塗装と色を分けて塗装するかで厚みに影響も何かしら起こるかもしれません。

  • ギブソン製ES-335のナット溝切り調整・セットアップです。

    新品なのにナット高が高く弾き難い状態です。

    有名で高額なモデルでも細かい手作業箇所はバラつきが大きいので、ちゃんと使いたい場合は新品でもリペアが必須です。

    一応ギブソンは製品全てプレックが掛かっているそうですが、中には音が詰まる物もあるのでどこまで本当か未知数です。

    ナット溝切り調整を行い弾き易い状態に仕上げる事ができました。

    This is a nut groove cut adjustment and setup for a Gibson ES-335.

    Even though it is new, the nut height is high and difficult to play.

  • トーカイ製レスポールジュニアのセットアップです。

    オクターブの精度が良く、こうしたモデルは大体オクターブの精度が悪いのですが国産の良い部分が出ております。

    中古購入との事で、フロントPUの調整ビスが異常に硬い所は難点がありましたが特に使用する上では問題ありません。
    恐らく前オーナーが何か触って問題が起きたと思いますが、音は出るので問題はありません。

    This is a Tokai Les Paul Junior setup.

    The octave accuracy is good, which is one of the best features of Japanese-made Les Paul, although octave accuracy is usually poor on these models.

    The front PU adjustment screws are unusually hard, but there is no problem in using it.

  • テイラー製214CEの弦高調整・セットアップです。

    新品で購入して常に弦を張りっぱなしにしているとの事で、大きく順反り・ハイ起き・トップ浮きで弦高が高い状態になって弾き難い状態です。

    テイラー自体が「弦は張りっぱなしで問題無い」と以前のホームページでは表記していたはずなのですが、現在のホームページではそのページが無くなっている？様子です。
    代わりに弦を緩めた方が良い表記になっている様で半音～1音下げにして保管に変わっている様子です。

    お客様も少しでも弾き易くしようと10-47弦を張っていますが、まずは調整してみるとトラスロッドも殆ど限界状態になってしまいました。
    10-47を張っててこれなので、これでは普通に11-52ライトゲージでも12-53等のミディアムゲージを張ると恐らくトラスロッド限界で順反りしネックを真っ直ぐに調整できない事でしょう。
    弦張力でトップ浮きも更に上がり、順反りだけでなくボディ弦高も上がりまともに弾けなくなる事でしょう。
    ネック自体も柔らかい印象です。
    材が柔らかいからこうした悪い状態になっているのですが、テイラーに限らず多くのメーカー自体も楽器を作っているのに楽器の事が分かってないと思います。

    10-47弦でも調整だけでは弦高が高く弾き難いのでサドルを削り弦高を下げました。
    フレット浮き等もありかなり状態が悪いです。
    材の個体が悪いとここまで悪くなる良い例かもしれません。

    アンプからの弦の音量バランスも悪かったのですが、サドルを削った際に音のバランスが良くなりました。

    一応は弾けるレベルとなりましたが、これから長く使用する上では状態は崖っぷちな状態です。
    メーカーがいい加減な事を言ってる事も全然あるので、正しく楽器を長持ちさせたいなら勉強が必要です。
    こちらのブログを読んだりYoutubeで学んで下さい。

    特に材の強度がかなり低下してきてる近年では弦を張りっぱなしで保管はご法度です。
    ましては楽器屋が張りっぱなしで良いとか言ってる所は状態が悪い物を売っていると言っている様なものでしょう。
    基本は販売側を信用してはいけません。その場でトラスロッドの余り量を確認させる事を徹底し状態の良し悪いを提示させないとダメです。売る側も素人ばかりですから。
    どの状態の物を買うか？どのメーカーを買うか？も含め結局はユーザーの自己責任なのでどうしようもありませんが知識が無いと自分が損をします。

    This is a Taylor 214CE string height adjustment and setup.

    The guitar was purchased new and has always been left strung, and it is difficult to play due to the high string height with large forward bow, high rise, and top float.

    I believe that Taylor itself stated on its previous website that “leaving the strings on is no problem”, but that page is missing from the current website? It seems to be missing from the current website.
    Instead, it seems that it is better to loosen the strings and keep them a semitone to a tone lower.

    The customer has put on 10-47 strings to make it a little easier to play, but when he tried to adjust them first, the truss rod was almost at its limit.
    Since this is the case with 10-47 strings, if he were to put medium gauge strings such as 12-53 on a regular 11-52 light gauge, the truss rod would probably be at its limit and the neck would be bent forward, making it impossible to straighten the neck.
    The neck itself also seems soft.
    The softness of the wood is the reason for this bad condition, but I don’t think that many makers, not only Taylor, but also many other makers themselves, understand the instrument they are making.

    Even with 10-47 strings, the string height is too high to play only by adjustment, so the saddle was shaved and the string height was lowered.
    The fret board is in bad condition with some fret lift.
    This may be a good example of how bad the wood is.

    The volume balance of the strings from the amp was also bad, but when the saddle was shaved, the sound balance was improved.

    It is now at a level where it can be played at least for a while, but the condition is on the edge of a cliff for long use in the future.
    There are some things that manufacturers say that are not true, so you need to learn if you want your instrument to last a long time.

    Especially in recent years, when the strength of the wood has decreased considerably, it is not advisable to leave the strings in storage.
    And if a music shop says you can leave the strings on, it is like saying they are selling you something in bad condition.
    Basically, you should not trust the seller. The seller should be able to tell you whether the instrument is in good or bad condition by checking the amount of truss rod remaining on the spot. The sellers are all amateurs.
    What condition should you buy? Which manufacturer to buy? In the end, it is the user’s own responsibility, but if you don’t have the knowledge, you will lose yourself.

    ナチョ製テレキャスターのPU交換・セットアップです。

    フロントにP-90増設の内容です。PUはRon Ellis PickupsのEllisonic P-SOPになります。
    ジュリアンラージ仕様となります。

    元ピックガード位置がわずかにズレて付いており、またネックポケット側がザグリより狭いです。6弦側にズレて取り付けてあります。
    高額な楽器でも精度としてはこの様な事も多いので、高額・有名メーカーだから丁寧な作りとは限りません。

    フロントは音が柔らかく太くなる印象、P-90の悪い嫌味は感じないので良いPUですね。
    リアは音が柔らかく、通常のテレキャスターの様に痛い音じゃないので扱い易いです。

    センターは配線を変更し通常のパラレル状態、4Ｗａｙから3Ｗａｙに変更されています。
    センターサウンドも良好でＰＵはどのポジションも良いサウンドです。

    数百万する個体ですがフェンダーカスタムショップ製等よりも明らかに良いので、本当に良い物を分かってる人はこうしたメーカー製品を購入しますよね。

    This is a PU replacement and setup for a Nacho Telecaster.

    The PU is an Ellisonic P-SOP with Ron Ellis Pickups.
    Julian large spec.

    The original pickguard is slightly misaligned and the neck pocket is narrower than the counterbore.
    This is not always the case with expensive instruments, so it is not necessarily because they are made by expensive and famous makers that they are carefully made.

    The front PU gives the impression that the sound is softer and fatter, and it is a good PU because it does not have the bad taste of the P-90.
    The rear is soft and not painful like a normal Telecaster, so it is easy to handle.

    The center has been rewired and changed from the normal parallel state, 4-way to 3-way.
    The center sound is good and the PUs sound good in all positions.

    It is a multi-million dollar piece, but it is clearly better than the Fender Custom Shop, etc. People who really know what they are doing are buying these manufacturers’ products.

    PUがSuhrのML、SSHに変わってる状態です。

    弾き易く音が良い個体です。

    MLは音の分離が良く明るいサウンド、リアは硬くなく扱い易いのでクリーンと歪みの両立もお勧めでしょう。

    Easy to play and good sound.
