ギブソン製レスポールのセットアップです。

90年代の個体です。

楽器屋の中古品で購入したとの事ですが調整がかなりいい加減でまともに弾けません。
弦高やPU高もテキトーでPUと弦が接触している状態なのでまず弦振動が邪魔されまともに鳴りません。
よくこの状態で売れたなと思います。

しっかりと調整する事で問題無い状態に仕上げる事ができました。

ギブソンは90年代前半に良い個体が多い印象です。

This is a Gibson Les Paul setup.

It is from the 90’s.

It was purchased used from a music store, but it is not adjusted properly and cannot be played properly.
The string height and PU height are also very loose, and the PU and strings are in contact with each other, so the string vibration is disturbed and the guitar does not sound properly.
I wonder how they sold it in this condition.

We were able to adjust the strings and make it sound fine.

I have the impression that there are many good Gibsons in the early 90’s.

ギブソン製レスポールのナット溝切り・セットアップです。

ナット高が弦によりかなりバラツキがあり弾き難い状態です。

ただこうした事はフェンダー・ギブソンでも非常に多いので気になる人は直した方が良い箇所です。
値段が高い物でもナット溝切り状態が悪い事やフレット仕上げが悪い事は普通にあります。

溝切りを行い弾き易い状態に仕上げる事ができました。
また音が良い個体です。

This is a Gibson Les Paul with nut grooving and setup.

The nut height is very uneven from string to string, making it difficult to play.

This is a very common problem on Fender Gibsons, so if you are concerned about it, you should fix it.
It is common for expensive guitars to have poor nut groove cutting and poor fret finishing.

We were able to finish the groove cutting and make it easy to play.

ギブソン製レスポールのトグルスイッチ交換です。

EMGに交換されているモデルです。

フロントPUの音が出ないとの事で持ち込まれました。

トグル不良によりフロントの音が出ない事が分かり交換しました。
交換後は問題無く音が出る状態となりました。

現行品のEMGはコネクタ仕様なので配線をミスしていなければ基本簡単に音が出せる状態にできると思いますが、組み込み時に交換しない部分としてトグルやセレクター等のPU切り替え部だけはEMGへ組み込み時に交換しない人も多いパーツかと思いますのでココがトラブルになる事が多い印象です。
パーツを交換する際は全て新品パーツに交換していた方が無難です。
特にジャック・セレクターはギターを使用する上で消耗が大きいパーツとなりますので、EMG等の殆ど全てのパーツを交換する上でここだけは元の物を使用するのは消耗具合が違う事からトラブルになり易いので全て交換する様にしましょう。

This is a Gibson Les Paul toggle switch replacement.

This model has been replaced with EMG.

It was brought in because the front PU was not producing any sound.

We found out that the front sound was not coming out due to a defective toggle switch and replaced it.
After the replacement, the sound came out without any problem.

However, I think that the PU switching parts such as the toggle and selector are the only parts that many people do not replace when installing EMGs. I have the impression that this is the part that often causes problems.
It is safer to replace all parts with new parts when replacing parts.

ギブソン製レスポールスタジオのフレットすり合わせ・配線直しです。

フレットの消耗が大きく、電装はリアが直結（ボリュームやトーンが効かない状態）の状態です。

PUはフロントにセイモアダンカンSH-4、リアにTB-5が付いているのですがリアはミリサイズビスで無理矢理付いている事と専用エスカッションでない事からPU本体がエスカッションに高さ調整の際に引っ掛かる状態となっていました。
リアは素人作業のハンダ付けして壊してしまったからセレクターと直結した物と思われます。

フレット状態が悪いのですり合わせ、電装の素人改造された状態ですがお客様の要望で最低限の修理を行いフロントとリアを切り替えて音が出せる状態になりました。

The frets are heavily worn and the electrical system is directly connected to the rear (volume and tone do not work).

The PU is a Seymour Duncan SH-4 on the front and a TB-5 on the rear, but the rear was forcibly attached with millimeter-size screws, and because it is not a dedicated escutcheon, the PU itself was caught on the escutcheon when adjusting its height.
The rear was directly connected to the selector because it was broken by an amateur soldering job.

The fretboard was in bad condition, so it had to be adjusted, and the electrical components had been modified by an amateur.

ギブソン製レスポールの配線直し・セットアップです。

ポットにガリがあるので4つ交換しました。

大きく順反りして音詰まりまで起きている状態です。
順反りは弾き難くなるだけでなくハイポジション（12F辺りから）で音詰まりも発生してきます。

まず正しい調整状態はどの様な状態なのか？を知る事が楽器人生としても役立ちます。
弾き難い状態で弾いていると変な弾き癖が付くのでマイナス面が大きいです。

音に落ち着きがあってバランスが良いレスポールでした。

This is a Gibson Les Paul rewiring and setup.

There is some galling in the pots, so I replaced 4 of them.

The guitar is warped and clogged up.
The forward warp not only makes it difficult to play, but also clogs up the sound in the high position (from around 12F).

First of all, what is the correct state of adjustment? It is useful for the life of the instrument to know what the correct adjustment condition is.
If you play the instrument in a state that makes it difficult to play, you will develop a strange habit of playing, which is a big downside.

The Les Paul has a calm sound and good balance.

ギブソン製スラッシュモデルレスポールのセットアップです。

新品購入との事ですが弾き難く、1弦の音が変との事で持ち込まれました。

順反り状態で弾き難い状態という他にも1弦ブリッジサドルの溝がおかしく音がしっかりと鳴らずモヤモヤした音です。

ギブソン製のブリッジサドルは元々溝が切っていない物に弦をチューニングし、その状態から弦で打刻を付けて溝を切るそうです。
結果的に溝がズレている事も非常に多いです。

溝切りも正直適当レベルだと思うので、問題がある1弦は溝を軽く切り直してみると問題が無くなりました。

メーカーもそうですが販売側も検品できる目や腕も無いので、こうした問題がある個体が平気で新品で売られているのが現状です。

This is a Gibson Slash model Les Paul setup.

The guitar was purchased new, but it was difficult to play and the sound of the first string was strange.

The sound was not clear and muffled due to the groove of the bridge saddle on the first string.

The bridge saddle made by Gibson is originally tuned to a string that does not have a groove cut in it, and then the groove is cut by imprinting the string on the saddle.
As a result, the grooves are often out of alignment.

I think the groove cutting is honestly at an appropriate level, so I lightly re-cut the groove on the one string that had a problem, and the problem went away.

The manufacturer does not have the skills or the eyes to inspect the product, and the seller does not have the skills or the eyes to inspect the product.

ギブソン製レスポールのピックガード取り付け・セットアップです。

ピックガードが付いていないモデルの為、お客様持ち込みのピックガードを取り付けました。

大きく順反りしており弾き難い状態です。

ネック折れが直されている個体、トラスロッドの効きが変で違和感がある状態です。

調整で直せましたがトラスロッドの不安があります。

ギブソンはトラスロッドの仕込みが悪く、内部のロッドT字が引っ掛かりが悪いのかナットを締めてると抜けてくる物がたまにあるので注意です。

This is a pickguard installation and setup for a Gibson Les Paul.

This guitar does not have a pickguard, so we installed a pickguard brought by the customer.

The guitar is in a hard-to-play condition due to the large forward bow.

The neck was broken and the truss rod was not working properly.

The truss rod could be fixed by adjustment, but there is some concern about the truss rod.

The truss rod is not well set up, and the rod T-joints inside the truss rod may not catch properly, or it may come out when the nut is tightened, so please be careful.

ギブソン製レスポールの配線直し・セットアップです。

配線が素人作業で音が出ない状態、ハンダ熱なのかパーツが壊れている状態です。

電装パーツを全て新品交換し、問題無い状態に仕上げました。

ハンダ付けは舐めて作業しない方が良いです。たった1ヵ所2カ所のハンダ付けでも音は結構変わります。

調整後は音が良く、こうした電装系が良くできると音も良い傾向になります。

またギブソン製は90年代前半に音が良いモデルが多いのでオススメです。
逆に70～80年代は少ないかもしれません。

弾き心地が国産のグレコやトーカイに似ています。
とても良い個体だがこれきっかけにてジャパンヴィンテージのレスポールが良くできていると分かりました。
コピーもこの頃の国産品は優秀ですね。

This is a Gibson Les Paul rewiring and setup.

The wiring was done by an amateur and there was no sound.

We replaced all the electrical parts with new ones and finished it up with no problem.

Soldering should not be done lightly. Even if you solder only one or two parts, the sound will change considerably.

After the adjustment, the sound is good, and if the electrical system is well done, the sound tends to be good.

Also, I recommend Gibson models made in the early 90’s because there are many models with good sound.
On the other hand, there may be few in the 70s and 80s.

The playing comfort is similar to Greco and Tokai made in Japan.
I found out that Japan Vintage Les Paul is well made by this chance.
The copy is also excellent in these days.
