アイバニーズ製RG460DXのセットアップです。

新品で購入したが音詰まり箇所があり調整に持ち込まれました。

状態を確認すると4フレットで音詰まりが発生しており、5フレットだけ高い状態で4フレットが音詰まりする状態です。

新品でもこうした不具合があるまま平気で販売されている事があるので、購入前に店員にチェックさせて買うのは当然ですがお店側が素人だと不具合に気が付きません。

酷いお店だと初期状態の弦高が高く、弦高を高くすれば不具合箇所が誤魔化されるので音詰まりが分かり難くなります。
なので弦高が高い時点で疑った方が良いです。
購入後に指摘しても「当店での基準はこの弦高で不具合が出なければ問題無いと判断してます。」と誤魔化されて終わりです。

不具合箇所が分かれば新品なら1年保証等が付いているので、基本は早い方が良いですが不具合を発見した際は購入店に申し出て直してもらいましょう。

ただし相手が素人過ぎるとこうした圧倒的に誰でも分かる不具合ですら店員が不具合を分からない現象が起きて対応してくれない事が出てきます。
実際にこの個体はリピーターのお客様のギターの為、後日に別のギター持ち込み時にお客様からこのギターは初期不良で返品した報告を聞いた際の購入した楽器店のやり取り話を聞きました。

この音詰まりする状態でも楽器店側は「メーカーが送ってきた状態なので、状態は基準の範囲で問題無い」との事や「他リペアショップでチェックさせても構わない」とまで言われたそうです。
ちなみにギター本体はお店に送ってあり店員が確認した状態での連絡です。そのやり取りメールも確認しました。

私のお店でチェックした事はお客様が購入店に伝えてなかったそうですが、楽器店側の素人さがここまで来てると買うのが危険なレベルになっています。
この個体はそこまで高額なモデルではありませんが、万が一高額なモデルを購入してアフターサービスがここまで酷いと楽器は楽器屋で買う事が難しくなってきます。

楽器屋で買う際も基本的に知ってほしい知識としてちゃんと調整した上で渡してもらう事、トラスロッドの余り量を確認させる事、そもそも新品でトラスロッドの余り量を表示しないなら買わない事、不具合が起こった場合はどの様な対応をするのか必ず確認する事です。

今回は何度もメールのやり取りの上でやっと返品できたレベルとの事で、明らか商品に不具合があるのに返品する事すら困難という事例をお客様から見せてもらいました。

楽器屋をやってる人達へ向けて、もう少し自分の仕事にプライドを持って下さい。
金儲けしか考えていないならこの仕事を辞めて下さい。業界として害悪な存在です。
人が泣いて金を儲けてるなら仕事としてのやり方が完全に間違っています。
良い仕事をして喜ばせた対価としてお金を稼いで下さい。

This is a setup for an Ibanez RG460DX.

It was purchased new but brought in for adjustment due to a jammed part.

The condition of the guitar was confirmed to be clogged at the 4th fret, with only the 5th fret being high and the 4th fret being clogged.

It is natural to have the store staff check the guitar before buying it, but if the store is an amateur, they will not notice the problem.

If the shop is not a good store, the initial string height will be high, and if the string height is high enough, the defect will be disguised, so it will be difficult to recognize the sound clogging.
Therefore, it is better to be suspicious when the string height is high.
If you point this out after purchase, you will be misled and end up saying, “Our standard is that if there is no problem at this string height, we judge that there is no problem. If you point out the problem after purchase, you will end up being misled.

If you find a problem, it is better to report it to the store where you purchased the instrument and have it fixed.

However, if the store is too much of an amateur, there may be a phenomenon that the store staff does not understand the problem, even if the problem is overwhelmingly obvious to anyone else, and they may not be able to fix it.
In fact, this guitar belongs to a repeat customer, and I heard a story about an exchange at the music store where the customer brought in another guitar and later heard a report that this guitar had been returned due to initial defects.

Even with this clogged condition, the music store said that the condition was within the standard range because it was sent by the manufacturer, and that they were even willing to let another repair store check it out.
Incidentally, the guitar itself was sent to the store and the store staff checked it. I also confirmed the email exchange.

I heard that the customer did not tell the store of purchase that he had checked it at my store, but the amateurishness on the part of the music store has reached such a level that it is dangerous to buy it.
Although this unit is not that expensive model, if you buy an expensive model and the after-sales service is this bad, it will be difficult to buy a musical instrument at a music shop.

When buying from a music shop, the basic things you need to know are that you should have the instrument adjusted properly, that you should check the amount of truss rod left, that you should not buy a new instrument if it does not show the amount of truss rod left, and that you should always check what they do in the event of a problem.

In this case, the customer told us that he was able to return the instrument after many emails, and that he found it difficult to return the instrument even though the product was obviously defective.

To those who are in the music store business, please have a little more pride in your work.
If all you care about is making money, get out of the business. You are a detriment to the industry.
If you are making money by making people cry, you are doing your job completely wrong.
Please do a good job and make money in return for pleasing people.
