    アリア製SWBアップライトベースのネック折れ修理です。

    折れ具合がやや複雑、更に開かない亀裂がもう1ヵ所入っている状態です。
    折れてから時間が経っているとの事で綺麗にくっ付く感じでもありません。

    ダメ元で作業OKという事で接着してみましたが無事に直りました。
    ネック折れの修理も正直微妙なラインがあり、本体価格を考えたら買い直した方が良い場合や折れ方により高額になる際は諦める等の選択肢も重要です。
    今回の様にとりあえず作業してみる選択肢もできますが、直らない場合でも作業費は発生します。
    ただ意外と接着のみでも直る場合も多いので、諦めた方が良い折れ方さえしなければ低価格で直せる可能性はあります。

    またジャック不良音切れする事から交換しました。
    ジャック部はイジった事があるのか配線が短く雑な状態です。
    また交換後も内部配線が短く異常に張って付いていた事による断線で音が出ない時がある為、大本の配線自体も新品に交換しました。

    Repair of a broken neck on an Aria SWB upright bass.

    The break is rather complicated and there is another crack that will not open.
    It has been a long time since the breakage, so it doesn’t look like it will stick nicely.

    We decided to glue it back together and it was fixed without any problems.
    There is a fine line between repairing a broken neck and repairing a broken neck, and it is important to make choices such as giving up when it would be better to buy a new one considering the price or when it would be too expensive depending on the way the neck is broken.
    You can choose to work on it for the time being, as in this case, but even if it is not repaired, you will still have to pay for the work.
    However, there are many cases where it can be repaired by gluing only, so there is a possibility that it can be repaired at a low price as long as it is not broken in a way that is better to give up.

    I also replaced the jack because it was defective and sound was cut.
    The wiring is short and messy, as if the jack has been messed with.
    Also, even after the replacement, the internal wiring was still short and unusually stretched, causing disconnection and sometimes no sound, so we replaced the main wiring itself with new wiring.

    ネックが古いグレコ・ボディがフェルナンデス製との事です。

    電装も安物パーツだが音が良い個体です。
    古い年代は低価格ながら音が良い物が多いので、その辺りを知ってたなら楽器は数万円レベルでも充分に使える物です。

    トラスロッドの効きが悪く、調整でトラスロッド限界となりました。
    やはりトラスロッドの効き具合に関しては精度が悪い事の影響か効きが悪い個体が多いので要注意です。
    買う前にトラスロッドを回して効き具合を確認するのも当然ですが全然回らない（1周も回らない等）個体にも気を付けましょう。

    This is a component guitar setup and jack replacement.

    The neck is an old Greco and the body is made by Fernandez.

    The electrics are cheap parts, but the sound is good.
    If you know about the old guitars, you can get a good sound for a few thousand yen.

    The truss rod was not working well, and the truss rod limit was reached by adjustment.
    As I said, be careful about the effectiveness of the truss rod, as there are many instruments with poor effectiveness, probably due to poor accuracy.
    It is natural to turn the truss rod to check the effectiveness before buying, but also be careful if the truss rod does not turn at all (not even one full turn).

    Gnecoロゴ時代のグレコ製ストラトキャスターのセットアップです。

    音が良く、ノーマルで付いているPUの様子だが音が非常に良いモデルです。
    当時の低価格帯は恐ろしい位に音は良いですね。

    またこの年代で既にPUのポールピースを整える概念はあった事が分かりました。
    何故にこの状態が廃れたのか、疑問でしかありません。

    This is a Gneco Stratocaster setup from the Gneco logo era.

    This model has a good sound, and the PU looks but sounds very good with the normal PU attached.
    The sound is good enough to be scary for the low price range at that time.

    I also found that the concept of aligning the PU pole piece was already in existence at this age.
    I can only wonder why this condition was discontinued.

  • MXR製フェイズ45のフットスイッチ交換です。

    音が切り替わらなくなる事があるとの事です。
    フットスイッチも消耗品ですので基本は交換する時期が来ます。

    交換する事で問題無くON-OFFができる様になりました。

    電池部分が後付けのDCケーブルの増設されているが、接触が悪く電源が落ちる事があります。
    中古品は消耗も含め前オーナーの改造により不具合箇所となっている事があるので注意が必要です。

    The sound sometimes does not switch.
    The footswitch is also a consumable item, so it is basically time to replace it.

  • サー製Modernのセットアップです。

    トラスロッドが限界状態で更に固着している状態です。潤滑油を入れて回してみると回る様になりました。

    トラスロッドが限界でやや順反りしている状態です。まだ弾けるレベルではあります。
    Suhrに状態が悪い個体は珍しいのですが、近年は木材の強度低下やユーザーが弦を張りっぱなし等のずさんな保管をされていればいくらSuhr製品でもダメになるのは当然です。
    高額な楽器をダメにしない為にも弦は緩めて保管する、乾燥させない保管を行わないといけません。

    音がタイトで歪みのノリが良い個体です。
    特にリアは良い歪みです。

    高価なモデルになりますので大事に使用していきましょう。

    This is a Modern setup made by Sir.

    The truss rod is sticking in a marginal condition. It turned after adding lubricant and turning it.

    The truss rod is at its limit and slightly warped. It is still playable.
    It is rare for a Suhr to be in bad condition, but in recent years, it is natural for any Suhr product to go bad if the strength of the wood has decreased or if the user has been sloppy in storing it, such as leaving the strings on.

    The sound is tight and the distortion is good.
    The rear distortion is especially good.

    This is an expensive model, so please take good care of it.

  • トムアンダーソン製ドロップトップのセットアップです。

    トラスロッドが限界状態、やや順反り状態です。
    高価でハイエンドギターと位置付けされる物でも例外は無く、基本は弦を緩めて保管しないといずれはこうした状態になってしまいます。

    音がタイトでミドルが硬くない音質で良い主張具合ですね。
    歪みのノリも良く、気持ち音の張りが欲しいですがPUの音が太い事が影響している様子です。
    ギターが1人のバンドなら良いかもしれませんが低音にワイドレンジだとベースが聴こえ難くなったり、ギター2人だと片方のギターの音が聴こえ難い等に繋がり易いです。

    It might be good for a band with one guitarist, but the wide range in the bass makes it hard to hear the bass, and with two guitars, it is easy to make it hard to hear one of the guitars.

  • フェンダーカスタムショップ製テレキャスターのセットアップです。

    新品で購入したとの事です。

    今回はお客様の要望で詳しい状態診断のプランを受けました。
    当店ではセットアップ料金と別に「状態診断」のプランがあります。

    これによりトラスロッドを実際に回し余り量から効き具合の測定等が行え、楽器のより詳しい状態診断が行えます。
    そもそも楽器屋がこうした詳しい状態診断（検品）を行わないで平気で状態が悪い物を新品で売っている事が問題なので、こうした診断を受けて状態が悪い事が分かった際は返品する等した方が良いです。
    売る側がまともな売り方をしていないので、これは購入者がお金を払って対応しないといけない環境となってしまいました。

    トラスロッドの余り量が多く状態が良い個体、調整してトラスロッドの余り量が6～7割の個体ですので良好と言えます。
    元のネック状態がトラスロッドを完全に緩めるとほんのり順反り状態、これは一般的な許容範囲の状態です。
    弦を張って順反りし、その調整で3割程度トラスロッド範囲を使用するのでこれも許容範囲です。
    強度が弱いネックはこの使用割合が大きくなっていきます。

    例えばトラスロッドの余り量が少ない場合、最初から大きく順反りしているかネック強度が弱く弦を張ると大きく順反りするので調整で多くのトラスロッドが使われるか？の大体はどちらかです。
    大きく順反りしている個体はもしかするとシーズニング不足・新品で材が安定していない場合もありますがネックが柔らかい個体は完成後にはどうする事もできませんので、長持ちさせる上で細いゲージを使用する事や使用後は弦をダルダルに緩める等してネックへの負荷を減らす等の情報が得られます。

    This is a Fender Custom Shop Telecaster setup.

    He purchased it new.

    This time, the customer requested and received a detailed condition diagnosis plan.
    We have a “condition diagnosis” plan in addition to the setup fee.

    This plan allows us to measure the amount of truss rod turning, and to diagnose the condition of the instrument in more detail.
    The problem is that music shops sell new instruments that are in bad condition without conducting such a detailed condition diagnosis (inspection), so it is better to return the instrument if it is found to be in bad condition after such a diagnosis.
    Since the seller is not selling in a proper manner, this has become an environment where the buyer has to pay to deal with the problem.

    This is an individual in good condition with a large amount of truss rod excess, and the truss rod excess is 60-70% after adjustment, so it can be considered good.
    The original neck is slightly warped when the truss rod is fully loosened, which is within the general acceptable range.
    This is also acceptable because the neck is warped forward with the strings stretched, and the truss rod range is used to adjust the warp by about 30%.
    A weak neck will use a larger percentage of the truss rod.

    For example, if the amount of truss rod left over is small, either the neck has a large forward bow from the beginning, or the neck is weak and the strings are stretched to cause a large forward bow, so a large amount of truss rod is used in the adjustment process. In most cases, it is one of the two.
    If the neck is soft, there is nothing that can be done after completion. I will be able to get more information on this.

  • トーカイ製プレシジョンベースの配線直し・セットアップです。

    安物の電装パーツを全て交換しました。
    十万円台のベースですが中身は安物パーツが組まれております。

    新品だが大きな順反り状態で弾き難い状態です。
    ただトラスロッドがよく効くので、調整後でも余り量も多めでした。
    フェンダー系等はトラスロッドの効きがこうした国産と比べかなり範囲が狭い為、すぐにトラスロッド限界状態になっていきます。

    配線交換後は音が太過ぎず細過ぎずバランスが良いサウンドになりました。

    安物パーツは音が細くなる傾向にあるので、これが劣化の無い素の音になるかと思います。

    This is a rewiring and setup of a Tokai Precision bass.

    All cheap electrical parts have been replaced.
    This bass is in the 100,000 yen range, but the inside is made of cheap parts.

    It is a new bass, but it is hard to play because of the big warp.
    However, the truss rod works well, so even after adjustment, there was a lot of leftover.
    The truss rod of Fenders has a much narrower range of effectiveness than that of these domestic instruments, so the truss rod will soon reach its limit.

    After the wiring was replaced, the sound was not too thick nor too thin, but well balanced.

    Cheap parts tend to make the sound thinner, so I think this will be the true sound without any deterioration.

  • グランディー製レスポールの配線直し・セットアップです。

    正確にはTOKAI製の様子です。

    EMGに交換されている様ですが音が変という状態です。

    内部をチェックするとジャックの消耗、セレクター部分でノイズ対策塗料を塗ってるのにセレクター端子が壁に触れている様な状態でした。

    ノイズ対策がされていると、壁等はマイナス端子となります。
    つまりパーツのプラス端子が触れてしまうとショートし音が出なくなります。
    パーツ等の回転して壁に触れてしまう様な個所には予めテープ等を貼って端子を絶縁しておくとトラブルを回避できます。

    弦高が高く弾き難い状態を調整し弾き易く仕上げました。

    This is a rewiring and setup of a Les Paul made by Grundy.

    To be precise, it looks like it was made by TOKAI.

    It was replaced with an EMG, but the sound was strange.

    When we checked the inside, we found that the jack was worn out and the selector terminal was touching the wall even though the selector part was coated with anti-noise paint.

    When noise suppression paint is applied, the wall is a negative terminal.
    In other words, if the positive terminal of the part touches the wall, it will short-circuit and no sound will come out.
    To avoid this problem, tape or otherwise insulate the terminals in advance in places where they might rotate and touch the wall.

    The high string height made it difficult to play, but we adjusted the strings to make it easier to play.
