  • ジャクソン製プロシリーズのフレットすり合わせ・PU交換です。

    フレット消耗が大きい状態です。

    お客様持ち込みの中古で入手したPU、セイモアダンカンSH-2・13に交換です。

    中古でパーツを買う際の注意点ですが、元の状態と異なる可能性があります。
    PUはエスカッションに取り付けるか直付けか？でビス穴に加工がされています。
    その他にも前オーナーの素人作業により破損が起きている等も考えられます。

    SH-13は取り付けビス部分がヒビ割れしており、簡単に割れたのでそのままでは取り付けできない状態になっておりました。
    恐らくこれらが理由で前オーナーが破損個所を隠して販売した物と思われます。
    割れ箇所を接着剤で補強＆接着を行って取り付けました。

    ジャクソンやシャーベル等は地味に音が良く弾き易いモデルが多いのでお勧めです。
    やはり一般的で無い様なメーカーには良い物が多いので、メタルギターのイメージが強いかもしれませんが結構万能的なモデルです。

  • テイラー製214CEのセットアップです。

    大きく順反りし弾き難い状態です。調整でトラスロッドが限界状態となりました。

    テイラー製はアコギメーカーの中でも弦高が低く弾き易い部類です。

    ただ順反りしたりトップ浮きも発生してくると弾き難い事は他と変わりません。

    またメーカー自体も弦を張りっぱなしで良いとされているメーカーですが、この様に状態が悪くなるのならメーカーが保証すべき所でしょう。
    基本的に張りっぱなしで良いとするなら弦張力に十分に負けない位のネック強度が必要ですが、弦をチューニングしてみて分かると思いますがチューニングしている段階で緩む（順反りする）事から既に張力に負けていると分かるはずです。
    弦張力に負けている状態を続けていればどうなるか？簡単な話です。

    弦は緩めて保管しないといけません。アコギはネック反りの他にトップ浮き（弦高が高くなる）も発生するので尚更張りっぱなしで良い訳がありません。
    具体的にはトラスロッドの余り量を把握する、状態を把握した上で考えないといけません。

    どちらにしても大手が間違った情報を出している現実を知る事、自分で学んで実践していかないと楽器を自分でダメにしてしまいます。

    Basically, if you want to leave the strings in place, the neck must be strong enough to withstand the tension of the strings, but as you can see when you tune the strings, you can already tell that the strings are losing tension because they loosen (warp in the forward direction) when tuned.
    What happens if the string continues to lose tension? It is simple.

    The strings must be kept loose. In addition to neck warp, acoustic guitars also suffer from top lift (higher string height), so there is no reason to leave the strings taut.
    In particular, you need to know how much truss rod is left, and you need to know the condition of the truss rod before you think about it.

    In any case, it is important to know the reality that the major companies are giving wrong information, and if you don’t learn and practice by yourself, you will ruin your instrument by yourself.

  • G＆L製SB-2のフレット部分すり合わせ・セットアップです。

    中古品ですが購入前に楽器店で細かく詳細を確認して購入したとの事ですが状態がかなり悪いです。
    大きく順反りして弾き難い・1弦だけやたら弦高が高く弾き難いです。
    こうした悪質な売り方をしている所はたくさんある事や、または状態を判断できない素人店員が売っている楽器屋も非常に多いので信用できる所の方が少ないです。

    詳しくチェックしてみるとトラスロッドに余裕が殆ど無い状態です。
    楽器店でその場でトラスロッドを回させて確認したが問題無いと言われたそうですが、それもまた悪質ですね。

    楽器屋でトラスロッドを回させても「左右に回ります」等と誤魔化した言い方をしたら要注意です。
    左右に回るのは当たり前です。余り量がどれだけあるのか？と聞いているのにそれを答えられないのは都合が悪いからか素人なだけです。
    トラスロッド限界近くで左右に回るのか？とトラスロッドがユルユルな位に余ってて左右に回るのか？でも状態が全然違います。
    正しく答えないのは「売るのに都合が悪いから」です。

    フレット浮きにより音詰まり箇所がありますが、その辺りの説明も無かった様子です。
    1弦の音詰まり箇所も、何故か異常に1弦だけ弦高が高く調整されていた事もあり明らか状態を分かってて渡しております。

    音詰まりしているフレット浮き箇所のみ削って音詰まりが出ない状態にしました。

    本来なら返品すべき商品ですが、お客様の要望で対応しました。
    こうした内容が分かった際は大体買った所へ返品を勧めます。
    そうした事をたくさんしているから私は楽器屋の方から嫌われます。
    イベントに誘われない程度の被害でしかないですが、全く知らないリペアショップや個人楽器バイヤーにすら声が掛かるのに私には掛からない等を見せられると嫌味でしかありません。

    It is a matter of course that it turns left and right. How much of a truss rod is left over? If you cannot answer that question, it is either because it is inconvenient or you are just an amateur.
    Does it turn to the left or right near the limit of the truss rod? Or is the truss rod so loose that it turns from side to side? The condition is totally different depending on whether the truss rod is too loose to turn left or right.
    The reason I don’t answer correctly is because it is inconvenient to sell.

    There is a clogging point due to fret lift, but there seems to have been no explanation about that.
    The first string is also clogged, and for some reason, the height of the first string was adjusted abnormally high, so I gave it to him knowing the obvious condition.

    We shaved only the fretted part that was clogged and made it so that it was not clogged.

    The guitar should have been returned, but the customer requested us to do so.
    When I find out that something like this has happened, I usually recommend that the customer return the instrument to the place where he or she bought it.
    I do this a lot, which is why music stores don’t like me.
    I am only affected to the extent that I am not invited to events, but when I am approached by repair stores and even private instrument buyers that I don’t know at all and I am shown that I am not invited, etc., it is just sarcasm.

    現行の型番に存在しないモデルの様子です。

    ネック剛性があるのですがトラスロッドがあまり効かない状態です。
    ネック剛性が高過ぎる場合だとトラスロッドの力でネック反りがあまり動かない為、ネックが反った際の調整も不都合が起きます。

    順反りを直すのにトラスロッドが調整で限界となりました。

    太い弦を使用しており5弦はしっかりと鳴る状態でとても良いベースです。
    どうしても5弦ベースは張力が強いので、そもそも殆どのベースはトラスロッドの余裕が少ないです。

    弦を緩めて保管は当然として、乾燥させ順反りさせない努力も必要になります。
    状態を良く長年キープするにはいつもの事ですが保管努力が必要です。

    ネックが古いグレコ・ボディがフェルナンデス製との事です。

    電装も安物パーツだが音が良い個体です。
    古い年代は低価格ながら音が良い物が多いので、その辺りを知ってたなら楽器は数万円レベルでも充分に使える物です。

    トラスロッドの効きが悪く、調整でトラスロッド限界となりました。
    やはりトラスロッドの効き具合に関しては精度が悪い事の影響か効きが悪い個体が多いので要注意です。
    買う前にトラスロッドを回して効き具合を確認するのも当然ですが全然回らない（1周も回らない等）個体にも気を付けましょう。

    Gnecoロゴ時代のグレコ製ストラトキャスターのセットアップです。

    音が良く、ノーマルで付いているPUの様子だが音が非常に良いモデルです。
    当時の低価格帯は恐ろしい位に音は良いですね。

    またこの年代で既にPUのポールピースを整える概念はあった事が分かりました。
    何故にこの状態が廃れたのか、疑問でしかありません。

  • サー製Modernのセットアップです。

    トラスロッドが限界状態で更に固着している状態です。潤滑油を入れて回してみると回る様になりました。

    トラスロッドが限界でやや順反りしている状態です。まだ弾けるレベルではあります。
    Suhrに状態が悪い個体は珍しいのですが、近年は木材の強度低下やユーザーが弦を張りっぱなし等のずさんな保管をされていればいくらSuhr製品でもダメになるのは当然です。
    高額な楽器をダメにしない為にも弦は緩めて保管する、乾燥させない保管を行わないといけません。

    音がタイトで歪みのノリが良い個体です。
    特にリアは良い歪みです。

    高価なモデルになりますので大事に使用していきましょう。

  • トムアンダーソン製ドロップトップのセットアップです。

    トラスロッドが限界状態、やや順反り状態です。
    高価でハイエンドギターと位置付けされる物でも例外は無く、基本は弦を緩めて保管しないといずれはこうした状態になってしまいます。

    音がタイトでミドルが硬くない音質で良い主張具合ですね。
    歪みのノリも良く、気持ち音の張りが欲しいですがPUの音が太い事が影響している様子です。
    ギターが1人のバンドなら良いかもしれませんが低音にワイドレンジだとベースが聴こえ難くなったり、ギター2人だと片方のギターの音が聴こえ難い等に繋がり易いです。

  • フェンダーカスタムショップ製テレキャスターのセットアップです。

    新品で購入したとの事です。

    今回はお客様の要望で詳しい状態診断のプランを受けました。
    当店ではセットアップ料金と別に「状態診断」のプランがあります。

    これによりトラスロッドを実際に回し余り量から効き具合の測定等が行え、楽器のより詳しい状態診断が行えます。
    そもそも楽器屋がこうした詳しい状態診断（検品）を行わないで平気で状態が悪い物を新品で売っている事が問題なので、こうした診断を受けて状態が悪い事が分かった際は返品する等した方が良いです。
    売る側がまともな売り方をしていないので、これは購入者がお金を払って対応しないといけない環境となってしまいました。

    トラスロッドの余り量が多く状態が良い個体、調整してトラスロッドの余り量が6～7割の個体ですので良好と言えます。
    元のネック状態がトラスロッドを完全に緩めるとほんのり順反り状態、これは一般的な許容範囲の状態です。
    弦を張って順反りし、その調整で3割程度トラスロッド範囲を使用するのでこれも許容範囲です。
    強度が弱いネックはこの使用割合が大きくなっていきます。

    例えばトラスロッドの余り量が少ない場合、最初から大きく順反りしているかネック強度が弱く弦を張ると大きく順反りするので調整で多くのトラスロッドが使われるか？の大体はどちらかです。
    大きく順反りしている個体はもしかするとシーズニング不足・新品で材が安定していない場合もありますがネックが柔らかい個体は完成後にはどうする事もできませんので、長持ちさせる上で細いゲージを使用する事や使用後は弦をダルダルに緩める等してネックへの負荷を減らす等の情報が得られます。

    This plan allows us to measure the amount of truss rod turning, and to diagnose the condition of the instrument in more detail.
    The problem is that music shops sell new instruments that are in bad condition without conducting such a detailed condition diagnosis (inspection), so it is better to return the instrument if it is found to be in bad condition after such a diagnosis.
    Since the seller is not selling in a proper manner, this has become an environment where the buyer has to pay to deal with the problem.

    This is an individual in good condition with a large amount of truss rod excess, and the truss rod excess is 60-70% after adjustment, so it can be considered good.
    The original neck is slightly warped when the truss rod is fully loosened, which is within the general acceptable range.
    This is also acceptable because the neck is warped forward with the strings stretched, and the truss rod range is used to adjust the warp by about 30%.
    A weak neck will use a larger percentage of the truss rod.

    For example, if the amount of truss rod left over is small, either the neck has a large forward bow from the beginning, or the neck is weak and the strings are stretched to cause a large forward bow, so a large amount of truss rod is used in the adjustment process. In most cases, it is one of the two.
    If the neck is soft, there is nothing that can be done after completion. I will be able to get more information on this.

  • フェンダージャパン製ストラトキャスターのフレットすり合わせ・ジャック交換です。

    フレットが全体的にかなり消耗が大きい状態です。
    当時のフェンダージャパン製は特に古い年代でなくても音が良いモデルが多いので、数万円のモデルで現在でも使用を続けている人も多いと思います。

    それに伴って消耗具合も大きい物が多いので注意が必要です。

    2000年中期位のモデルだがトラスロッドの余り量が多く状態が良いです。
    08-38弦で使用していたそうで、細いゲージは当然ながらネックに対する負荷が少ないので順反り防止としても好都合です。

    多くの楽器は順反りしトラスロッドに余裕が無い・限界状態の物も多いので、長持ちさせるにはどれだけネックに負荷を与えずに使用を続けるか？が重要になっていきます。
