Gibson レスポール 90年代フレットすり合わせ＆ナット交換

ギブソン製レスポールのフレットすり合わせ・ナット交換です。

ネックにヒビが入っておりますがチューニングしても開かず問題無い程度で、これを直すには中途半端な状態ですのでこのまま使用する事となりました。

ナットが消耗で音が詰まり気味・音が詰まるフレット箇所がある状態です。

ナット交換・フレットすり合わせを行う事で問題無い状態に仕上げる事ができました。

かなり音が良い個体です。90年代前半は良い個体が多いので下手なヴィンテージで音も状態も良くない物を買うより90年代が狙い目です。

This is a Gibson Les Paul with fret adjustment and nut replacement.

YAMAHA Pacifica USA フレットすり合わせ＆フレットサイド処理＆PU交換 DP159 DiMarzio EVOLUTION

ヤマハUSA製パシフィカのフレットすり合わせ・フレットサイド処理・PU交換です。

大きく順反りし調整でトラスロッドが限界状態です。

過去に他店でフレットすり合わせをした事があるそうだが仕上げが雑でフレットを丸めていない台形状態です。
ただ上面をすり合わせて終わった様な状態です。
酷い仕上げで平気で渡してくる所も多いので気を付けましょう。

フロント・リアPUをディマジオ製エボリューションに交換しました。

フレットをすり合わせサイド処理も行う事で以前と全然違う弾き心地と弾き易さに変わりました。

良いリペアショップか確認する方法として簡単な質問に「弦を緩めるかどうか？」を訪ねてみると良いです。
詳しくは「個体による、トラスロッドの余り量を確認して個体に合わせる」が正確な答えですが知識の無いリペアショップは「弦は張りっぱなしで良い」と答えます。
そうしたお店に頼んではいけません。知識が無いので良い仕事はできない所でしょう。

This is a Yamaha USA Pacifica with fret grind, fret side treatment, and PU replacement.

The truss rod is at the limit of its capacity due to the large forward bow and adjustment.

The fret board has been fretted at another store in the past, but the fret board has not been rounded and is in trapezoidal shape.
It looks as if they just finished rubbing the top surface.
There are many places that will give you a badly finished guitar without a care in the world, so be careful.

Front and rear PUs have been replaced with DiMaggio Evolution.

The frets have been grated and the side treatment has been done to make the guitar feel completely different and easier to play than before.

A simple question to ask a good repair store is, “Do you loosen the strings?” You can also ask a simple question, “Do you loosen strings?
The exact answer is “It depends on the individual instrument, check the amount of truss rod left and adjust it to the individual instrument”.
Do not ask such a store to do the work. They are not knowledgeable and will not be able to do a good job.

アイバニーズ製JS3CRのフレットすり合わせ・フレットサイド処理です。

サトリアーニモデルですね。

基本的に現行品、製品という物はちゃんとできておりません。

理由はコストの問題で1本1本を丁寧に作るには時間の都合上無理になる事と人件費が高騰するので、基本的に低価格帯では実現は不可能になります。

高額な物でもそこまで基準が高いメーカーも少ないので、特にこの辺りが分かり易く出てくるのがナット・フレットになります。

フレットサイド処理は仕上がりが良い物＝高額な物となりますが、メーカーによっては50～60万円になっても微妙なメーカーも多くあります。
フレットも丸め具合や精度も高い事が少ないので、ちゃんと使用したいなら買ったらすり合わせ・ナット溝切り調整が基本です。
希望があればサイド処理も行った方が良いでしょう。

フレットをすり合わせ、サイド処理を行う事で見違える位に弾き易くなりました。

フレット関係は元が酷いと直した際に驚く様な良い状態になるのでお勧めです。

For the fret side treatment, a good finish means a high price, but depending on the maker, there are many makers who can make a fret side treatment for 500,000-600,000 yen, but it may be too subtle.
The fret is rarely rounded well and accurate, so if you want to use it properly, you need to adjust the fret and nut groove if you buy it.
If you want to use it properly, you should also do side treatment if you wish.

The fret fret adjustment and side treatment made it easier to play.

If the original fretting is not good, you will be surprised how good it will be when it is repaired.

ギブソンカスタムショップ製レスポールのフレットすり合わせです。

ぶつけたのかフレットに弦の跡があり引っ掛かる状態です。

全体消耗も含めすり合わせで対処しました。

中古品等にも多いですが弾く上で難点がある部分はナット・フレットに多く見られます。
これらは自然に良くなる事はありませんのでリペア必須になる箇所になります。

中古品も販売側が素人レベルな所も多いので難点を隠して売ってたり、難点かどうかすらも分からないまま売っている事も多いので気を付けましょう。

This is a Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul fret grinder.

There are string marks on the frets from bumping and catching.

We have done this by fret fret adjustment including overall wear and tear.

The nut and frets are the most common areas that are difficult to play, as is often the case with second-hand Les Paul.

エキゾチック製ストラトキャスターのフレットすり合わせです。

全体の消耗が大きく音詰まり箇所がある状態です。
こうした状態は基本的にまともに使えません。
音詰まりが出ない様にするにも調整だけでは限度があります。
すり合わせしないといけないラインは目で見て分かるフレットの減りが出てきたら作業する必要があります。

フレットをすり合わせる事で弾き易く問題が無い状態に仕上げる事ができました。

エキゾチック製は音も良く弾き易い個体が多いのでギターもベースもお勧めなメーカーです。

This is an exotic Stratocaster fret grinder.

The overall wear and tear of the guitar is significant, and there are some clogged areas.

Jackson Pro Series Dinky DK Modern フレットすり合わせ＆PU交換

ジャクソン製プロシリーズのフレットすり合わせ・PU交換です。

フレット消耗が大きい状態です。

お客様持ち込みの中古で入手したPU、セイモアダンカンSH-2・13に交換です。

中古でパーツを買う際の注意点ですが、元の状態と異なる可能性があります。
PUはエスカッションに取り付けるか直付けか？でビス穴に加工がされています。
その他にも前オーナーの素人作業により破損が起きている等も考えられます。

SH-13は取り付けビス部分がヒビ割れしており、簡単に割れたのでそのままでは取り付けできない状態になっておりました。
恐らくこれらが理由で前オーナーが破損個所を隠して販売した物と思われます。
割れ箇所を接着剤で補強＆接着を行って取り付けました。

ジャクソンやシャーベル等は地味に音が良く弾き易いモデルが多いのでお勧めです。
やはり一般的で無い様なメーカーには良い物が多いので、メタルギターのイメージが強いかもしれませんが結構万能的なモデルです。

We recommend Jackson and Charvel because they are easy to play and have good sound.
There are many good products from uncommon makers, so although they may have a strong image of metal guitars, they are quite versatile models.

フェンダージャパン製ストラトキャスターのフレットすり合わせ・ジャック交換です。

フレットが全体的にかなり消耗が大きい状態です。
当時のフェンダージャパン製は特に古い年代でなくても音が良いモデルが多いので、数万円のモデルで現在でも使用を続けている人も多いと思います。

それに伴って消耗具合も大きい物が多いので注意が必要です。

2000年中期位のモデルだがトラスロッドの余り量が多く状態が良いです。
08-38弦で使用していたそうで、細いゲージは当然ながらネックに対する負荷が少ないので順反り防止としても好都合です。

多くの楽器は順反りしトラスロッドに余裕が無い・限界状態の物も多いので、長持ちさせるにはどれだけネックに負荷を与えずに使用を続けるか？が重要になっていきます。

FenderJAPAN STD-57 ナット交換＆フレットすり合わせ＆セレクター交換＆ジャック交換

フェンダージャパン製ストラトキャスター、STD-57のナット交換・フレットすり合わせ・セレクター交換・ジャック交換です。

かなり消耗が大きい個体です。

細かくはフェンダージャパンでは無い様子でネックは別メーカーの物に交換されている様子（ボディのネックポケットにSTD-57表記）、ネックポケットとネックの相性が悪くシムは計4枚入れて調整・ネックポケットはガバガバ状態です。とりあえず弾く分には問題ありません。

消耗箇所を修理し音も安定して出せる状態に修正しました。
音が太く煌びやかでレンジ感があり良い個体です。
意外とギターは不思議とカッチリ丁寧に作られた物よりも隙間もあって雑な作りの物が音が良かったりします。

特にネックはボディに付かない方が音が良い傾向に思います。
具体的には左右がガバガバ、シムも複数入れないと弦高がダメな物はネックとボディに隙間が大きく殆ど触れていない状態になります。
ネックとボディは違う木材なので、その振動数が合わないのも当然で楽器としての組み合わせは基本違う材なら相性は悪いと思われます。
距離が離れて弦振動が干渉しない位の隙間がある方が音が良くなるのも理解はできるかと思います。

また08-38弦で使用し続けているとの事でトラスロッドの余り量もかなりある状態です。
ただ動く範囲が狭いですが効きは良いです。
ネックはメーカー不明ですがトラスロッドが回る範囲から古い国産なのかもしれません。

細いゲージを使用しネックに強い負荷が掛からない状態なら順反りし難いのは当然です。
長持ちさせるにはこうした配慮も必要です。

This is a Fender Japan Stratocaster, STD-57, nut replacement, fret grind, selector replacement, and jack replacement.

This is an individual with quite a bit of wear and tear.

The neck was replaced with another maker’s neck (STD-57 is marked on the body neck pocket), and the neck pocket and neck are not compatible. The neck pocket is in a state of disarray.

The wear and tear has been repaired and the sound is now stable.
The sound is fat and shiny with a good range.
Surprisingly, guitars that have gaps and are not well made sound better than guitars that are well made.

In particular, the neck tends to sound better when it is not attached to the body.
Specifically, if the neck is too loose on both sides and the strings are too high without multiple shims, there is a large gap between the neck and body, and they are hardly touching.
Since the neck and body are different woods, it is only natural that their vibration frequencies do not match, and the combination as an instrument is basically incompatible with different woods.
It is understandable that the sound would be better if the strings were far enough apart so that their vibrations do not interfere with each other.

Also, since you have been using it with 08-38 strings, there is quite a bit of truss rod left over.
The range of movement is narrow, but it works well.
The maker of the neck is unknown, but it may be an old domestic one from the extent to which the truss rod turns.

If a thin gauge is used and the neck is not under a heavy load, it is natural that it is hard to warp in order.
This kind of consideration is necessary to make the neck last longer.

ギブソン製レスポールスタジオのフレットすり合わせ・配線直しです。

フレットの消耗が大きく、電装はリアが直結（ボリュームやトーンが効かない状態）の状態です。

PUはフロントにセイモアダンカンSH-4、リアにTB-5が付いているのですがリアはミリサイズビスで無理矢理付いている事と専用エスカッションでない事からPU本体がエスカッションに高さ調整の際に引っ掛かる状態となっていました。
リアは素人作業のハンダ付けして壊してしまったからセレクターと直結した物と思われます。

フレット状態が悪いのですり合わせ、電装の素人改造された状態ですがお客様の要望で最低限の修理を行いフロントとリアを切り替えて音が出せる状態になりました。

This is a Gibson Les Paul Studio fretted and rewired.

The frets are heavily worn and the electrical system is directly connected to the rear (volume and tone do not work).

The PU is a Seymour Duncan SH-4 on the front and a TB-5 on the rear, but the rear was forcibly attached with millimeter-size screws, and because it is not a dedicated escutcheon, the PU itself was caught on the escutcheon when adjusting its height.
The rear was directly connected to the selector because it was broken by an amateur soldering job.

The fretboard was in bad condition, so it had to be adjusted, and the electrical components had been modified by an amateur.

ワーモス５弦ベースフレットすり合わせ＆ナット溝切り調整

ワーモス製5弦ベースのフレットすり合わせ・ナット溝切り調整です。

少し前に組み込んだ物ですがその際はお客様の予算都合ですり合わせやナット等は仕上げていない状態です。
コンポーネントブランドのネックは基本的にリペア必須の状態です。
ナット溝切り調整・フレットすり合わせは最低限やらないと元から音が詰まる箇所やビビりが出る所が出るのが普通です。

音詰まりが気になるとの事で持ち込み、またネックのウネリ等が大きく状態が悪いです。
近年は木材の強度低下が顕著になっており、長持ちしない傾向になっています。

特に近年のメイプルネックは強度が低いので要注意です。
フレットを削って真っ直ぐにしてみて確認すると、トラスロッドの効きも変です。
強度にバラツキがあってウネる様に反りが動くのか、仕込み精度が悪いのか判断できませんが新しい物があまり良くないのはワーモスも例外では無くなってきました。

新たにコンポーネントブランドで良いブランドが見つかれば発信しますが、ワーモスで製作も円安の影響で安いとも言えなくなってきたので他に良いコンポーネントブランドを見つけないといけませんね。

This is a fret adjustment and nut groove cutting for a 5-string bass made by Warmoth.

This bass was installed a while ago, but at that time, due to the customer’s budget, the fret adjustment and nut grooving were not done.
Basically, component brand necks are in need of repair.
It is normal for the neck to have some areas where the sound is stuck or chattering if the nut groove adjustment and fret adjustment are not done at the very least.

The neck is in poor condition due to the sound jamming and the neck is very loose.
In recent years, there has been a noticeable decline in the strength of wood, and it tends not to last as long as it used to.

Be especially careful with maple necks in recent years, as they are not as strong as they should be.
If you check by shaving the frets and straightening the neck, you will find that the truss rod is not working properly.
It is hard to judge if the strength of the neck is uneven, and the warp moves like a whip, or if the accuracy of the workmanship is poor.

If we find a new component brand that is good, we will send out a message, but we need to find another good component brand because the low yen is no longer making it cheap to produce with Wormos.
