ASHDOWN AL-MK500 ポット交換＆清掃＆メンテナンス

アッシュダウン製AL-MK500のポット交換・清掃・メンテナンスです。

ベースアンプになります。

メインボリュームポットのガリが凄く、ガリが酷過ぎて音が出ない状態です。

他にもアウトプットジャックの固定が悪く、ワッシャーが無くなっておりこれによって締めても固定ができずガタガタ暴れる状態になっています。
ワッシャーを追加してしっかりと止まる様に直しました。

手持ちのポットでボリュームポットを交換し、問題無く音が出せる状態に復元しました。

アンプやエフェクターの修理は保証対象外になり、パーツも同じ物が入手できない事も多いので代用できる物で対応できる場合は対応したりします。

こちらのベースアンプは初めて触りましたが癖が無く非常に良いサウンドです。
これが定番にならなかったのは正直意味不明です。確実にハートキーやアンペグよりも扱い易く音が良いです。

Pot replacement, cleaning, and maintenance for an Ashdown AL-MK500.

This is a bass amplifier.

The main volume pot had severe scratching noise, so bad that no sound could be produced.

Additionally, the output jack was poorly secured; the washer was missing. This meant tightening it didn’t secure it properly, causing it to rattle and move around.
I added a washer and fixed it so it stays securely in place.

I replaced the volume pot with one I had on hand and restored it to a state where sound can be produced without issues.

Repairs on amps and effects pedals are not covered under warranty. Since identical replacement parts are often unavailable, we sometimes use suitable substitutes when possible.

This was my first time working on this bass amp, and it has a very clean, excellent sound without any harshness.
Honestly, it’s baffling why this didn’t become a standard model. It’s definitely easier to handle and sounds better than Hartke or Ampeg.

Fender JAPAN Michiya Haruhata Stratocaster Caribbean Blue Trans フレットすり合わせ＆ポット交換＆ジャック交換＆セレクター交換

フェンダージャパン製、春畑道哉モデルストラトキャスターのフレットすり合わせ・ポット交換・ジャック交換・セレクター交換です。

全体的に大きな消耗で、フレットの音詰まり箇所があります。

鳴らしていて音が途切れたりする様子、ガリ等があるポット・セレクター・ジャックは新品に交換する事になりました。

ナット高が元から高めでローフレットは弾き難く、こちらはナット下にシムを入れていないモデルですので指板を削りナット高を低くする必要があります。

すり合わせ後はナット高が元よりも高めになりました。お客様の要望でこちらはそのままで良いとの事でローフレット側の弦高が高く感じますが弾けるレベルとの事です。

フロイドローズ仕様のストラトキャスターですが、通常のストラトキャスターにフロイドローズを付けただけの様なモデルなので弦高が合いません（指板RとフロイドローズRが合ってない為）。

ブリッジサドルにもシムを入れる等して指板Rに合わせ、弦高が大きくバラつきが出ない様に調整し弾き易くなりました。

Fender Japan-made, Michiya Haruhata Model Stratocaster: Fret leveling, pot replacement, jack replacement, selector switch replacement.

Overall significant wear, with frets causing muted notes.

Pots, selector switch, and jack exhibiting intermittent sound dropouts or crackling will be replaced with new parts.

The nut height was originally quite high, making the lower frets difficult to play. Since this model does not use shims under the nut, the fingerboard needed to be dressed down to lower the nut height.

After dressing, the nut height is now slightly higher than before. At the customer’s request, this was left as is. While the string height over the lower frets feels higher, it is still playable.

Although this is a Floyd Rose-equipped Stratocaster, it’s essentially a standard Strat with a Floyd Rose added, resulting in improper string height (due to mismatched fingerboard radius and Floyd Rose radius).

We adjusted the bridge saddles by adding shims to match the fingerboard radius, minimizing significant string height variation and improving playability.

Gibson CustomShop レスポールカスタムポット交換＆セットアップ

ギブソンカスタムショップ製レスポールカスタムのポット交換・セットアップです。

チューンOマチック、クルーソン純正テールピースを交換して調整が変になったとの事で持ち込まれました。

ブリッジサドルの台座を回すのが硬い状態です。恐らくブリッジスタッド穴のピッチが正しく合っていない様子です。

ボリュームポットにガリで音が出なくなるので交換、ポットがボディ穴が小さく嚙んでいて交換が大変でした。
パーツは基本的に木材に噛んではいけません。スカスカなのが正常です。
こちらは交換されていないので純正パーツ、製造時にこうなっている事になりますがビス穴に無理矢理ポットが付いています。

音が良いモデルで、太く音抜け良く非常に良いサウンド。
またハイレンジで音が良いのでフロントでもリアでも良好なサウンドです。

レスポールも重さ等で大きく音が変わるので、アタリ個体を手に入れたら手放さない方が良いでしょう。

Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Custom pot replacement and setup.

Brought in because tuning became erratic after replacing the Tune-O-Matic and Kluson original tailpiece.

The bridge saddle base is stiff to turn. Likely due to incorrect pitch in the bridge stud holes.

The volume pot was causing crackling and loss of sound, so it was replaced. The pot was tightly seated in the body hole, making replacement difficult.
Parts should generally not grip the wood tightly. Loose fit is normal.
This one hadn’t been replaced, so it’s an original part. It appears to have been manufactured this way, with the pot forced into the screw hole.

This is a great-sounding model with a thick, well-projected tone.
It also excels in the high range, delivering excellent sound whether using the front or rear pickup.

Les Pauls can vary significantly in tone due to weight and other factors, so if you find a good one, it’s best not to let it go.

WEED BD-2 mod Blues Driver ポット交換

ウィード製BD-2modのポット交換です。

以前よりあまり歪まなくなったとの事で、テスターチェックでポットの動作が変な様子なので交換してみたら直りました。

またLEDが破損している様で点灯しない状態です。
中古購入品や古いエフェクターは各所が壊れてきます。
ギターと同じくポットやジャックは消耗し交換する必要が出てきます。

エフェクターの修理作業は一切保証等が行えませんが、ギターと同じ様に交換ができるパーツ交換は対応可能です。
エフェクターによっては付いているパーツが市販品に販売されておらず、別のパーツで流用する事になる場合もあるので注意が必要です。

This is a pot replacement for a Weed BD-2mod.

The tester check showed that the pot was acting strangely, so we replaced it and fixed the problem.

Also, the LED seems to be damaged and does not light up.
Used or old effectors are prone to breakage in various areas.
Just like guitars, pots and jacks wear out and need to be replaced.

Bizen Works Grain Arched ポット交換＆ジャック交換＆セットアップ

ビゼン製レスポールのポット交換・ジャック交換・セットアップです。

リアボリューム・ジャックにガリで新品に交換しました。

ジャックは消耗するパーツNo.1ですので定番の修理ですが、ポットやセレクターは多様する程に消耗するのでガリが出たタイミングで交換がベストです。

実際に新品パーツに交換すると音質も良くなるので、消耗＝音も悪くなっています。

消耗の劣化は接点洗浄剤で直しても無駄なので、電装パーツは消耗品と割り切って交換しながら使用していきましょう。

Potentiometer replacement, jack replacement, and setup for a Bizen-made Les Paul.

Replaced the rear volume and jack with new ones due to crackling.

The jack is the number one wear part, so this is a standard repair. However, potentiometers and selectors wear out with use, so replacing them when crackling occurs is best.

Replacing them with new parts actually improves the sound quality, proving that wear equals sound degradation.

Attempting to fix deterioration with contact cleaner is futile. Accept that electrical components are consumables and replace them as needed while using the guitar.

Suhr modern セレクター交換＆ポット交換

サー製Modernのセレクター交換・ポット交換です。

消耗でガリが出ている状態です。

一日数十時間は弾く位に使用しているとの事で、そうした個体は動作も多くなるのでよく使うパーツは当然ながら消耗が早くなります。

セレクター切り替え時に音が出なくなる、ポットはガリが出ている状態なので新品に交換しました。

使用している以上は消耗は避けられない為、電装パーツは消耗品と割り切って使用しないといけません。

Replacement of selector switch and potentiometers on a Saitama-made Modern.

The unit was exhibiting crackling noise due to wear.

Given that it’s played for dozens of hours daily, such instruments see heavy use, so frequently used parts naturally wear out faster.

We replaced the selector switch, which was causing sound dropouts during switching, and the potentiometers, which were producing crackling noise, with new ones.

IBANEZ Prestige RG2550Z ポット交換＆セットアップ

アイバニーズ製プレステージRGのポット交換・セットアップです。

ポットにガリがある状態ですので新品に交換しました。

順反りし弦高が高く弾き難い状態を調整し弾き易い状態に仕上げました。

アイバニーズ製のギターは新しい年代の高価なモデルはチタン補強材が入って強度が高いネックとなりますが「反らない・反りが常に一定」と思っている人も居られる様子です。
ここまで強度の高い金属を仕込んでいてもネックは反りますので、基本は弦を緩めて保管していないといけません。

This is a pot replacement and setup for an Ibanez Prestige RG.

The pot was scratched, so we replaced it with a new one.

We adjusted the high string height, which made it difficult to play, and made it easier to play.

Ibanez guitars, especially newer, high-end models, feature necks reinforced with titanium for increased strength. However, some people seem to believe that these necks “do not warp” or “maintain a consistent warp.”
Even with such high-strength metal reinforcement, the neck will still warp, so it is essential to store the guitar with the strings loosened.

dragonfly Border666 ポット交換＆セットアップ

ドラゴンフライ製ボーダー666のポット交換・セットアップです。

ボリュームにガリがあり、こちらは新品に交換しました。

よく接点洗浄剤等で直ったと思う方が多いですが、基本的に消耗で起きたガリは直せませんので交換が必要になります。
ピックガードや裏パネルで蓋された部分のパーツは汚れが入りガリになる事はあまり無く、基本は使い過ぎによる消耗破損となるので交換しましょう。
箱物等は汚れが入りガリになる事もあります。

チューニングはドロップC#で調整する内容です。

ドロップチューニングにすると張る弦の太さ等でネック反りも大きく変化するので調整が大きく変わります。
レギュラーチューニングからドロップチューニング仕様にする際は注意しましょう。

This is a pot replacement and setup for a Dragonfly Border 666.

The volume has a buzzing sound, and we replaced it with a new one.

Many people often think that contact cleaner etc. can fix the problem, but basically, galling caused by wear and tear cannot be fixed, so it needs to be replaced.
Parts covered by the pick guard or the back panel do not often become dirty and galled, and should be replaced because they are basically worn out and damaged due to overuse.
Boxed instruments can become dirty and scuffed.

The tuning should be adjusted to drop C#.

The neck warp varies greatly depending on the thickness of the strings used when tuning to drop tuning, so the adjustment will vary greatly.
Please be careful when changing from regular tuning to drop tuning.

Ibanez GB-10 ナット交換＆フレットすり合わせ＆ポット交換

アイバニーズ製GB-10のナット交換・フレットすり合わせ・ポット交換です。

各所の消耗が大きく状態が悪いです。

ナットで音詰まり箇所、フレット減りで音詰まり箇所がある状態です。
ポットは固着で回らない所があります。

内部をチェックすると古い年代製でトグルスイッチが特殊な構造で、しかも大きな穴に丸いゴム板に固定された特殊な構造で交換できるトグルが無くトグルスイッチ以外は交換する事となりました。
一応はミニスイッチタイプのトグルは高さがあり使えますがノブの色が異なってきます。お客様と相談の上、そのままとなりました。

ナットを交換しフレットすり合わせを行う事で問題無く弾ける状態になりました。

固着したポット等も新品に交換し問題無く使用できる事となりました。

This is an Ibanez GB-10 nut replacement, fret grind and pot replacement.

It is in poor condition with significant wear and tear in various areas.

The nut is stuck and the frets are worn out.
The pots are sticking and not turning in some places.

The toggle switch is of a special construction, and there are no toggles that can be replaced, so we had to replace all but the toggle switch.
The mini-switch type toggles are tall enough to be used, but the color of the knobs will be different. After consultation with the customer, we decided to leave it as it was.

The nut was replaced and the frets were adjusted to fit the fretboard, so the instrument can now be played without any problems.

The sticking pots and other parts were replaced with new ones, and the instrument can now be used without any problems.

dragonfly Hi-STA 648 ポット交換＆ジャック交換＆セットアップ

ドラゴンフライ製Hi-STA 648のポット交換・ジャック交換・セットアップです。

ガリで音が出なくなる状態です。
また大きく順反りして弾き難い状態で、調整でトラスロッドに余裕少ない状態となりました。

難あるパーツを交換し問題無い状態に修正しました。

歪みの音が良いモダン系ギターです。
