  • フェンダーメキシコ製ジャズベースのポット交換・ペグ交換です。

    お客様持ち込みのFender製ペグに交換ですがブッシュの大きさが合わない状態です。
    ペグを交換する際は必ず元から付いているサイズをペグを外して確認して下さい。
    今回の様にフェンダー製品にフェンダー製品のパーツがそのまま無加工で付く物と判断してはいけません。
    そもそもパーツメーカーが大きさ等の規格を統一していれば問題が起きないのですが、本当にメーカーの理解不能な所です。

    ブッシュを交換するとなれば元の穴を埋めて空け直しとなりますので高額な内容になります。
    ブッシュサイズは違うが内径は同じなので流用ができビス穴空けのみで取付する事となりました。

    またこの新たなフェンダーペグは難点としてヘッド裏側に当たる部分に大きな爪があり、この爪の突き出し幅が大きくヘッドに無加工ではピッタリと付かないです。
    わざわざこの爪が当たる所にザグリを掘って付けないといけません。（↓がペグの爪を避けるザグリの参考画像）
    GOTOH等はこうした爪が無いので無加工で付く事ができますが、フェンダーペグにはこの爪が付いておりちゃんと付けたい際は無駄な加工費が掛かるので要注意ポイントです。

    また配線がバランサーポットを2連Voポットに交換し通常のジャズベースの様なボリュームコントロールができる様になりました。

    This is a pot and peg replacement for a Fender Mexican Jazz Bass.

    The bushings do not match the size of the Fender pegs that were brought in by the customer.
    When replacing pegs, be sure to check the size of the original pegs by removing them.
    Do not assume that Fender parts can be attached to Fender products without modification, as in this case.
    If the parts manufacturer had standardized the size of the parts, there would be no problem, but this is really something the manufacturer does not understand.

    If the bushings are replaced, the original holes will have to be filled in and the bushings will have to be reopened, which will be expensive.
    The bushing size is different, but the inside diameter is the same, so we were able to use the same bushing and install it with only drilling out the screw holes.

    The new fender peg has a large claw on the back side of the head, and this claw is too wide to fit perfectly on the head without modification.
    The pegs are too wide to fit perfectly on the head without any modification.

    Also, the wiring has been replaced with a balancer pot and two Vo pots to allow volume control like a regular jazz bass.

  • ヒストリー製GH-BJ4のポット交換・セットアップです。

    タイムレスティンバーモデルです。
    この頃だけ、ヒストリー製で使われるタイムレスティンバーのモデルは音が良い事が多いです。
    音が良く立ち上がりが良い上、材の色も通常のメイプルより濃いので追加効果はあるかと思います。

    ボリュームガリで交換しました。アクティブ回路がポットに付いてるモデルで、基盤からポットを分離して新しいポットへ交換しました。
    同じ様なポットだとアンプ用などを使用しないと合わないので、そうしたポットはこちらで用意していないので通常ポットに配線で引き回しました。

    ヒストリー製はコストパフォーマンスが良く、中古価格も安めなのでお勧めです。

    This is a pot replacement and setup for a History GH-BJ4.

    This is a timeless timber model.
    Only in these days, the timeless timber models used by History often have a good sound.
    In addition to the good sound and rise, the color of the wood is darker than normal maple, so I think there is an additional effect.

    I replaced it with a volume skinny. The model has an active circuit attached to the pot, so I separated the pot from the base and replaced it with a new pot.
    I had to use a similar pot for the amp, so I wired it to a regular pot since we do not have such pots.

    I recommend History because of their good cost performance and low used prices.

  • クルーズマニアックサウンド製ボトムアップのセットアップ・ポット交換です。

    トルクが軽いポットへ交換と、ジェームスタイラーPUが付いているモデルです。

    ポットが軽くなると演奏時にボリュームの可変がやり易くなります。
    他にも接点洗浄剤で軽くする方法がありますが、それはちょっとした荒業です。

    国産で低価格帯ならクルーズ製はお勧めです。
    近年は値上がりでお得感が無くなっていますがまだまだ選択肢としてはお勧めできるメーカーです。

    This is a setup pot replacement for a Cruise Maniac Sound made bottom up.

    This model has been replaced with a pot with lighter torque and a James Tyler PU.

    Lighter pots make it easier to adjust the volume when playing.
    There are other ways to lighten the pots with contact cleaner, but that is a bit of a rough job.

    If you are looking for a domestic product in the low price range, I recommend the Cruz made models.
    The price has gone up in recent years and it is no longer affordable, but I still recommend this manufacturer as an option.

  • クルーズマニアックサウンド製テレキャスターのポット交換・セットアップです。

    中古品で順反り状態、調整したらトラスロッド限界となりました。

    中古品購入時は消耗箇所の他にもトラスロッドの余り量を確認する事が重要です。

    ギターもベースも基本的に長く使用していれば「順反りするもの」ですので、それらも調整が可能であるトラスロッドの余り量が重要になってきます。

    軽いボリュームに交換しました。
    これによりボリューム操作が軽い力で行える様になります。

    これは新品パーツですがケースのツメの固定が甘くガタツキがあり、閉め直しました。
    品質に問題がある様子です。

    フロントは音が太め、リアが硬いテレキャスターらしいサウンドです。
    見た目よりもヴィンテージタイプのサウンドがする個体です。

    This is a pot replacement and setup for a Cruise Maniac Sound Telecaster.

    Used, forward warped condition, truss rod limit after adjustment.

    When purchasing a used guitar, it is important to check the amount of truss rod left in addition to wear and tear.

    Both guitars and basses basically “warp forward” if they are used for a long time, so it is important to have enough truss rod left over to be able to adjust them as well.

    The volume has been replaced with a lighter volume.
    This allows the volume to be operated with light force.

    This is a new part, but the claws of the case were not secured properly and rattled, so we had to re-tighten them.
    There seems to be a quality problem.

    The front has a fat sound and the rear is hard, which is typical Telecaster sound.
    It has a vintage type sound more than it looks.

  • Emotion ストラトキャスター ナット溝切り調整＆フレットすり合わせ＆ポット交換 VANZANDT VINTAGE PLUS

  • エモーション製ストラトキャスターのナット溝切り調整・フレットすり合わせ・ポット交換です。

    音詰まり箇所があり状態悪いです。弾き込まれていればどうしてもフレットはすり減りますので修理が必要になってきます。

    ヴァンザント製ヴィンテージプラスに交換、ボリュームにガリで交換しました。

    お客様の方で3弦6弦が引っ込められてて、バランスが良いサウンドになっています。

    シングルコイルは未だに弦の音量バランスが悪く、メーカーも素人だったりするのでその異常に気が付かず昔の仕様のまま今に至っている物もかなり多いです。

    この弦の音量バランスは非常に重要で、特にギターはコードで鳴らす事が多いのでその弦の音量が合っていないとすれば音が大きい弦が強調され音が小さい弦が聞こえ難くなりミュート気味・鳴りが甘い様な音になるので結果としてコードが綺麗に鳴らなくなります。

    PUを交換して音を良くする考えよりも、ポールピースの高さを直した方が音を良くする意味では効果が上だと思います。

    状態も良くなり音も良くなったのでギターとして良いモデルに生まれ変わったと思います。

    This is an Emotion Stratocaster with nut groove cut adjustment, fret grind, and pot replacement.

    The guitar is in bad condition with a clogged part. The frets are inevitably worn out if the guitar has been played a lot, so repairs are necessary.

    Replaced with Van Zandt Vintage Plus, and replaced the volume with a buzzing sound.

    The customer has retracted the third and sixth strings, resulting in a well-balanced sound.

    Single coil guitars still have a poor string volume balance, and because the makers are amateurs, many of them are still using the old specifications without noticing the anomaly.

    The volume balance of the strings is very important, especially since guitars are often played on chords. If the volume of the strings is not correct, the loud strings will be emphasized and the quiet strings will be hard to hear, resulting in a muted or sweet sound, and the chords will not sound beautiful.

    In my opinion, fixing the height of the pole piece is more effective in terms of improving the sound than replacing the PU to improve the sound.

    I think it has been reborn as a good model as a guitar since it is in better condition and sounds better.

  • フェンダージャパン製ストラトキャスターのフレットすり合わせ・ナット溝切り調整・ポット交換です。

    Vo不良で音が安定して出ない状態、フレット消耗で音詰まり、11-48弦を張っててナット溝に弦が合わずナット高が高い状態です。

    またアームバーのビス山が痛んでいるのか非常に動きが硬い状態、ビス山が壊れて破片が挟まっていた様子です。

    ストラトはボリュームを可変させて使用する事も多いと思うので消耗し易い所です。新品に交換し解決しました。

    ナットは大体1～2ゲージが入る様に切っている場合もあれば張った弦に合わせてキチキチに切る場合とメーカーの匙加減が異なります。
    ギターの場合10-46か09-42と幅広くゲージが使われる事が多いので、私は09を張る場合でも後から10に変更しても問題が無い様に46が入る様に溝を切っていた方が良いと考えます。それ以上のゲージは意図して使う事が多いので変更等は考えず張った弦に合わせて切ります。

    フレットをすり合わせ、弦に合わせて溝を切りまともに使用できる状態に修正しました。

    This is a Fender Japan Stratocaster fret grind, nut groove cut adjustment, and pot replacement.

    The sound is not stable due to Vo failure, fret wear and clogging, and the nut height is too high due to the 11-48 strings not matching the nut groove.

    The arm bar screws are damaged and the movement of the arm bar is very stiff, and it looks like the screw threads were broken and debris was caught in them.

    The arm bar is easily worn out because strats are often used with variable volume. We replaced it with a new one and solved the problem.

    The nut may be cut to fit 1 or 2 gauge strings, or it may be cut too tight to fit the strings you have put on it.
    In the case of guitars, I also think that it is better to cut a groove so that 46 can fit even if you put on 09 so that there will be no problem if you change to 10 later. Gauges higher than this are often used as intended, so we cut the grooves to match the strings that have been strung without thinking about any changes.

    The frets have been grated and the grooves have been cut to match the strings, and the fretboard is now ready for proper use.

  • フェンダージャパン、Fシリアルのストラトキャスターのナット溝切り調整・フレットすり合わせ・ポット交換です。

    ボリュームにガリ、フレットの消耗、ナット高が高い所がある状態です。
    当時でも低価格帯になりますので細かい点は完璧ではありません。
    現行品のフェンダー製品でも高額なモデルでもナットの高さが各弦で異常に上下がある物も多くあります。

    パーツを交換しフレットをすり合わせ、ナット溝を仕上げる事で弾き易く問題が無い状態に仕上がりました。

    またトラスロッドの余り量が多く、ネック強度が高いです。
    昔は「良い木材があった」と分かる状態ですね。長い年月を生きてきてこの消耗状態で判断するなら木材が良い証拠です。
    この年代ですらヴィンテージ扱いされて非常に高価になっている事は疑問なのですが、現代と比べて明らかに木材の質が違うのは確かです。

    昔は低価格帯でも今で比較する所で30～40万円クラスの木材が数万円で使用されていた時代です。
    なので当時のフェンダージャパン製はコストパフォーマンスが良く、別に昔の物でなくても2000年代中期辺りまでの物でも非常に良い物が多いです。

    はっきり言えばこの年代を考えれば「数万円で良い楽器は普通にあった」となります。
    と言っても昔からビジネス洗脳は強いので誰も特別な見向きはしなかった事でしょう。
    今の高額な現行モデルよりも当時のフェンダージャパン製の方が音が良い場合が多いです。

    This is a Fender Japan, F-Serial Stratocaster with nut groove cut adjustment, fret grind and pot replacement.

    It is in good condition with some galling on the volume, fret wear, and high nut height in some places.
    It is in the low price range even at the time, so the details are not perfect.
    Even with current Fender products, there are many high priced models where the nut height is abnormally high or low on each string.

    By replacing the parts, adjusting the frets, and finishing the nut groove, the guitar is now easy to play and has no problems.

    Also, there is a lot of truss rod left over and the neck is very strong.
    You can tell that there used to be “good wood” in this condition. If you judge by this worn condition after living for many years, it is a proof that the wood is good.
    I doubt that even this age is treated as vintage and very expensive, but the quality of the wood is clearly different compared to today.

    In the old days, even in the low price range, wood of 300,000-400,000 yen class was used for tens of thousands of yen in comparison with today.
    Therefore, Fender Japan-made guitars of that time had good cost performance, and even if they were not made in the old days, there were many very good ones until around the mid-2000s.

    To put it bluntly, considering this period, “good instruments were usually available for tens of thousands of yen”.
    However, business brainwashing has been strong for a long time, so no one would have paid special attention to them.
    In many cases, Fender Japan-made instruments back then sounded better than today’s expensive current models.

  • ニブラム製オーダーメイドベースのポット交換です。

    ガリがあるフロント・トーンを交換しました。

    内部の電装パーツがヴィンテージパーツ？で組まれている様子ですが、こうしたパーツも所詮は消耗品ですのでトラブルが出てくる様であれば交換が必要になってきます。

    音が出る時は良いのですが、やはり古い物を無理して使用を続けるのにも限度があります。

    特に電装パーツは消耗により音が劣化しますので、いくらヴィンテージパーツに拘っていても消耗していては音としてはダメな状態に変わりありません。
    デッドストック（当時の新品状態）であれば良いですが、そうでない中古品のヴィンテージパーツの使用はお勧めできません。

    Replaced the front tone which has a rattle.

    The internal electrical parts are made of vintage parts. However, these parts are consumable parts, and if they have any trouble, they will need to be replaced.

    It is good when the sound is good, but there is a limit to how long you can continue to use old parts.

    Especially, the sound of electrical parts deteriorates due to wear and tear, so no matter how much you care about vintage parts, if they are worn out, the sound will still be bad.
    It is good if the parts are dead stock (new condition at that time), but we do not recommend to use other used vintage parts.

  • PRS製S2 Custom22のポット交換・セットアップです。

    ボリュームにガリがある状態なので新品ポットに交換しました。

    順反りで弾き難いのを調整しました。

    PRS製はSEでも弾き易い精度の良さがあり、調整さえしっかりと行えば価格に関係無く弾き易いギターになります。
    新品でもこの辺りの調整がいい加減な状態で販売されている事も多い為、買ってすぐ調整して使用する事をお勧めします。

    The volume has a buzzing sound, so we replaced the pot with a new one.

    PRS guitars are easy to play even SE guitars, and as long as they are adjusted properly, they are easy to play regardless of the price.

  • ドラゴンフライ製オーダーメイドギターのポット交換です。

    ボリュームのガリで音が出なくなるとの事で交換しました。

    内部をチェックしてみると配線状態が荒く、周りの配線にハンダコテを当てた様な跡がありました。
    中古購入との事なので中身が素人イジりされている様子です。

    中古品は見えない所に難がある事が多く、販売店でもそこまで丁寧にチェックしている事も少ないので要注意です。

    今回はお客様の要望でボリュームの交換のみです。順反りしていて弾き難い状態です。

    This is a pot replacement for a custom made guitar by Dragonfly.

    The pot was replaced because the volume was rattling and sound would not come out.

    When we checked the inside of the guitar, we found that the wiring was in rough condition and there were marks around the wiring that looked like soldering iron had been applied to the wiring.
    Since it was purchased second-hand, the inside of the unit had been tampered with by amateurs.

    Second-hand products often have defects in places that cannot be seen, and even dealers do not always check them that carefully, so be careful.

    This time, we only replaced the volume at the customer’s request. It is hard to play because it is warped.
