フェンダージャパン製ジャズマスターのナット溝切り調整・セットアップです。
新品ですが弦高が高く弾き難い状態です。
トラスロッドに余裕少なく、ナットの高さが高い所と低い所があり押さえ難いです。
ナット溝切りも元があまり良くなく、溝がV字（弦に合っておらず弦の底面に隙間ができている）になっている箇所があり溝切りすると大きく溝高が変わる所があって本当にダメな溝切りがされています。
下手に溝切りするとナットが死んだりする（低くなり過ぎる）ので、リペアマン泣かせな酷い状態でした。
フェンダージャパン製のクオリティも落ちてきたなと思います。耳に痛い音がせず、音の分離が良い個体でした。
ジャズマスターのプリセットスイッチが省かれたモデルで、恐らくポットも250ｋΩが使われていると思いますが通常のジャズマスターの様なギラギラとしたサウンドにならず扱い易いです。ありがとうございました♪
This is a nut slot adjustment and setup for a Fender Japan Jazzmaster.
Although it’s brand new, the string action is too high, making it difficult to play.
There’s very little play in the truss rod, and the nut height varies—some spots are too high and others too low—making it hard to fret the strings.
The original nut grooves were also poorly cut; in some places, the grooves were V-shaped (not aligned with the strings, leaving gaps at the bottom of the strings), and in other spots, the groove depth changed drastically when cut—truly a botched job.
Since cutting the grooves improperly can “kill” the nut (by making it too low), this was a terrible condition that would make any repair technician cry.
I feel like the quality of Fender Japan guitars has really declined.This particular guitar didn’t produce any harsh sounds and had excellent tonal separation.
It’s a Jazzmaster model without the preset switch; I suspect it uses 250kΩ pots, but it doesn’t have the harsh, piercing sound of a standard Jazzmaster, making it very easy to play.Thank you very much♪
