  • シャーベル製ランダムスターのセットアップです。

    順反りし弦高が高い状態です。また正しく調整ができておりません。

    Dチューナーが付いてますがザグリに当たるのでややネック側にフロイドローズを傾けて調整しました。
    本来ならDチューナーを付ける際は専用のザグリが必要になります。

    EMGが乗っており歪み時も音がタイトでメタル曲にはかなり合うサウンドです。

    Here is the setup for the Shaber Random Star.

    The neck is bowing outward, and the string action is high. Additionally, it has not been properly adjusted.

    Although it comes with a D-tuner, it was hitting the cutout, so I adjusted the Floyd Rose by tilting it slightly toward the neck.
    Normally, a dedicated cutout is required when installing a D-tuner.

    It’s equipped with EMG pickups, and the sound remains tight even when distorted, making it a great fit for metal songs.

  • PRS SE製サンタナモデルCustom24のナット溝切り調整・セットアップです。

    チューニングが狂い易いとの事で持ち込まれました。

    ナット溝切り調整を行い調整しました。

    フロントはギブソンよりもすっきり傾向のサウンド、リアは歪み音が非常に良い個体です。

    電装パーツはノーマル状態ですが明らか他のＳＥ製と比べ音が違う様に聴こえます。
    アーティストモデルの特別なＰＵでも付いてる？のか、明らかサウンドは他の個体より段違いに良かったです。

    Nut Slot Adjustment and Setup for PRS SE Santana Model Custom 24.

    Brought in due to frequent tuning instability.

    Performed nut slot adjustment and fine-tuned the setup.

    The front pickup has a cleaner sound than typical Gibsons, while the rear pickup produces excellent distorted tones.

    Though the electronics are stock, it clearly sounds different from other SE models.
    Could it be a special artist model pickup? Either way, the sound quality was noticeably superior to other units.

  • ムーン製PGM期のストラトキャスターのナット交換・フレットすり合わせです。

    80年代製の物で長年の消耗がある状態です。

    ナットを交換しフレットをすり合わせ、正常な状態に仕上げました。

    音が太く、存在感があるのでアンサンブルで抜けが良さそうな個体です。
    当時のMOON製は評価が高い理由もよく分かりました。
    Fender等を良い方向に改良したストラトと思います。

    Nut replacement and fret leveling on a Moon-made PGM-era Stratocaster.

    This is an 80s model showing significant wear from years of use.

    We replaced the nut and leveled the frets, restoring it to proper condition.

    It has a thick, present sound that should cut through well in an ensemble.
    It’s easy to see why Moon-made guitars from that era are so highly regarded.
    I consider it a Strat that improves upon models like Fender in positive ways.

  • アイバニーズ製AZのセットアップです。

    新品の状態です。

    音が硬くクリア、モダン系サウンドです。

    現代のギターで新品状態だとより音の硬さと明白さが強い傾向なので、これから弾き続けると音に柔らかさが出てきて音に自然さが増えてくると思います。
    タイトで硬質なサウンドを求めているのであれば良い個体です。
    現代はこうしたサウンドの個体が増えてきたのでヴィンテージ系とは真逆なサウンド傾向です。
    アンサンブル等にはこちらの方が混ぜ易いと思います。

    It’s in brand-new condition.

    The sound is hard and clear, with a modern tone.

    Modern guitars in new condition tend to have a stronger tendency toward hardness and clarity in their sound. As you continue playing it, the sound should develop a softer quality and gain more naturalness.
    If you’re seeking a tight, hard sound, this is a good specimen.
    Modern guitars increasingly feature this type of sound, representing a sound tendency opposite to vintage-style guitars.
    I believe this one blends more easily in ensemble settings.

  • Ibanez RGAIR6 Iron Label セットアップ

  • アイバニーズ製RGAIR6のセットアップです。

    順反りし弾き難い、ナット高が高い状態です。

    ダウンチューニングでC#に調整、弾いて使ってみて後程ゲージの変更予定との事です。

    ナット高が高いので溝切り調整を行った方が良い状態ですが、ゲージに合わせて溝を切るので現在のゲージで使用し続けるか他のゲージに変更するか決まってから溝切りする形にしました。

    リアは音が硬く音の形が見え易いです。
    低価格帯ながら歪み時の音が良い個体です。

    This is the setup for an Ibanez RGAIR6.

    It has a reverse bow and is difficult to play, with high nut height.

    It’s tuned down to C#. The owner plans to play it and test it out, then change the gauge later.

    The high nut height means a fret leveling adjustment would be beneficial. However, since the leveling is done to match the gauge, we decided to wait until the owner decides whether to keep using the current gauge or switch to another before performing the leveling.

    The rear pickup produces a crisp, well-defined tone.
    Despite being a budget model, it delivers excellent distortion sound.

  • Gibson サンダーバード フレットすり合わせ＆ポット交換

  • ギブソン製サンダーバードのフレットすり合わせ・ポット交換です。

    フレットの消耗で全体の減りが起きています。

    ポットにガリが起きており、新品に交換し修正しました。

    ギブソン製自体のフレット処理がかなりいい加減の為、フレットを綺麗に丸めるだけでも音質が良くなります。
    ギブソン径のフレットはかなり台形気味なので音の形が悪くなります。
    丸めるだけでも音の形が綺麗に聴こえる様になります。

    Gibson Thunderbird fret leveling and pot replacement.

    Overall fret wear has occurred due to fret consumption.

    The potentiometer was producing crackling noise, so it was replaced with a new one and the issue was resolved.

    Gibson’s own fret processing is quite sloppy, so simply rounding the frets nicely improves the tone.
    Gibson-sized frets are quite trapezoidal, which distorts the sound shape.
    Just rounding them makes the sound shape come through more clearly.

  • エドワーズ製フォレストのジャック交換・セットアップです。

    トラスロッドが最初から限界状態です。
    中古品は特に気を付けないといけないのがトラスロッドの余り量です。
    こうした状態の物を買った場合、順反りした際に直せません。

    ネックも特に順反りしている訳ではなく、弾く分には問題無いです。
    ただ順反りしてしまうと調整不可な状態なので、ちゃんと弾かない時は弦を緩めて保管していないとダメです。

    ジャックで音切れする状態なので新品に交換し対処しました。

    Jack replacement and setup for an Edwards Forest.

    The truss rod is already at its limit from the start.
    With used instruments, you especially need to be careful about the amount of truss rod travel left.
    If you buy something in this condition, you won’t be able to fix it if it develops a forward bow.

    The neck isn’t significantly bowed forward and plays fine.
    However, if it does bow forward, it becomes unadjustable. You must store it with the strings loosened when not playing regularly.

    The jack was causing sound dropouts, so I replaced it with a new one to resolve the issue.

  • FenderJAPAN ストラトキャスター 配線直し＆セットアップ ブレンダー配線 Rugir Pickups’s

  • フェンダージャパン製ストラトキャスターの配線直し・セットアップです。

    リアPUをルジール製のオーダーPU、スイッチポット増設でブレンダー配線に組み換えです。

    ブレンダー回路を組むとフロントとリアのミックスサウンドが出せる様になります。
    センター＋リアのハーフトーン時にスイッチONにすれば全てのPUが鳴る状態にも可能です。

    音が良い感じに巻き弦が柔らかく、プレーン弦はバリバリしないバランスの良いサウンドです。

    メイプル指板の影響もあると思いますが非常に理想的なリアサウンドに思いました。
    これは自分も欲しいレベルです。

    Wiring rework and setup for a Fender Japan Stratocaster.

    The rear pickup was replaced with a custom-made Rujir pickup, and the switch pot was upgraded to enable blender wiring.

    The blender circuit allows for a mix of the front and rear pickup sounds.
    When the center + rear pickup is selected (half-tone position), switching the pickup selector ON enables all pickups to sound simultaneously.

    The tone is nicely balanced: the wound strings sound soft, and the open strings don’t sound harsh.

    I believe the maple fingerboard also contributes, but I found the rear pickup sound to be exceptionally ideal.
    This is a level I would personally want for myself.

  • バッカス製SGのペグ交換・セットアップです。

    チェックしてみると冬場の乾燥の影響かネックグリップ・セットネック部にひび割れが起きています。
    現状で使用には問題無さそうです。

    ペグをブッシュと共に同タイプへ交換しました。

    音が澄んでて綺麗な響きになりました。
    GOTOH製は金属が硬いのか、音が煌びやかな方向になる事が多いです。

    Peg replacement and setup for a Bacchus SG.

    Upon inspection, cracks appeared in the neck grip and set neck area, likely due to winter dryness.
    It seems usable as-is for now.

    Replaced the pegs with the same type, including the bushings.

    The sound is now clear and has a beautiful resonance.
    GOTOH pegs often produce a more brilliant tone, perhaps due to their harder metal.

  • フェンダージャパン製ストラトキャスターのセットアップです。

    購入したばかりとの事ですが弦高が低過ぎて音詰まりしてる状態です。

    調整する事で問題無く弾ける状態になりました。

    楽器屋で購入してもかなりいい加減な調整で販売していたり渡す事も多いので要注意ポイントです。
    特に楽器屋の店員は人員不足により店員が楽器を詳しく分からない場合も多いです。

    Setup for a Fender Japan Stratocaster.

    Although it was just purchased, the string height was too low, causing muffled notes.

    Adjustments were made to restore playability without issues.

    Be aware that even when purchased from a music store, instruments are often sold or handed over with quite sloppy adjustments.
    This is especially true when store staff are understaffed and may not be knowledgeable about the instruments.
